Purchased a car last week had problems with ignition system took it to our own garage to be repaired Bill was £240 took bill up to them explained situation that we could not have taken back to them As a goodwill gesture they refunded the monies and said any other issues to take the car back. This was appreciated and shows it’s a company to deal with

I wish I’d read the previous review before I accepted their bid on my car which I was selling through an auction site. They are complete time wasters. I accepted their bid on Sat 25 Oct at £11450 for my Range Rover. They send someone to collect it a week later. The guy drove it for 30 mins including at 90mph on a dual carriage way. Before he’d even looked at the car he told me has was a 3rd party inspector and he would check the car, submit a report and it was likely that Renegade would come back with a lower offer. Before the test drive he asked me if I’d had the gearbox serviced (strange question I thought but now understand what he as building up to). During the drive he said that he felt a “juddering” between 4th and 5th gear, absolute nonsense, I’ve never had a problem with the gearbox. After the test drive he plugged some diagnostic kit in and told me that it had identified a gearbox problem but didn’t show me. The car was presented exactly as per my profile description. It drove perfectly on the test drive. After he submitted his report he phoned Renegade who reduced the offer to £9900. Absolute jokers. I had the car in the garage a couple of weeks ago for an electrical fault and it had a full diagnostic check. No mention of a gearbox issue. I refused the offer!!!

Don't sell your car to this company. Bunch of cowboys/grifters/scam artists. Who will pretend there's something wrong with your car to get it for a cheap price. They even sometimes pretend they're working with a third party company who inspect the car but they're just all working for the same company.

They know what they're doing. Business is business I guess but I hope karma comes back around and I hope someone who's selling/sold their car to this company find this review before they sign the dotted line.
