This was our first experience with…

This was our first experience with Re-Bath. The sales person came out day before yesterday. He came in went straight to work bathroom and started measuring. We told him we wanted a full bathroom remodel, taking out a tub and making the shower much bigger, vanity and flooring. He immediately dismissed everything we said. Wanted to make our current shower into a storage space, replace the tub area with a shower. Which he said doing that would actually give us 2 showers. Went onto say the shower we wanted was too big for the size of our home. Then the first quote, minus flooring & vanity, was large enough to do all the flooring in our house, remodel our kitchen etc. He said what we needed was something like he had in his home. We will no be using Re-Bath for anything and would not be referring anyone we know.

Bottom line, it cost $24,000,

We met with sales rep. Anthony who told us we would "have our new shower installed in 2 to 3 days," and with "no problems". Unfortunately, every step of my shower remodel was anything but smooth. After getting Anthony's estimate and paying the $12,000 deposit, we received zero communication from the office for 6 months. Then when I called them, they told me that the remodel would begin in the next couple of weeks.

During the install, the workers showed up every day after 10 AM, and then went to lunch at 12PM. Then left every day before 3 PM.
That's barely 4 hours of work per day. Maybe If the guys had been here from 8 to 4 pm each day it would have taken half the time to complete it.
Because of this I had to use up over a month of personal leave from my work to be present with the workers. This alone cost me thousands of dollars lost and zero leave left to take.

Then, after a month of work, my shower had to be completely re-done from scratch due to several installation mistakes and sub-par craftsmanship. They also tried using caulk to fix everything, and it was carelessly slapped it all over the place. I am still scraping the excess caulk off every day.
The shower door and glass weren't installed correctly and had to be re-installed (more work leave used).

Also, we ordered a "frameless" shower door but 50% of it still had to be walled in which was not told to us until after they had already done it, again poor communications. Also, the door swings 180 degrees, but they tried using a door gasket that made the door only able to swing one way.

The door leaks every time.

The bath tub handles were installed with scratches three different times.
They tried using non paintable caulk on the outside of the shower where it meets the wall until I stopped them. They said it's the only caulk they use and all they had, and that "I could buy my own "paintable" caulk for them to use instead of theirs" So I did.

Even today, I am still waiting on them to come back out and install the final shower door gasket.

They never call me. I always have to call them to get any response.
I have asked the customer service operator to have the manager call me but he never does.

Bottom line, it cost $24,000, and it took nearly 3 month's to have a very small shower taken out and replaced with a new one.

The fact that so many aspects of this job were done so poorly is inexcusable and it is why I would not recommend this location to do your bathroom remodel.

I just inquired to Re-Bath

I just inquired about a bathroom remodel with Re-Bath, based on a recommendation from Home Depot. I only got as far as the initial conversation. I talked to the salesperson on the phone and we began to arrange a date to talk about the project. She said that they would like to have both decision makers (my wife and I) at the initial meeting. I told her that I would be the primary decision maker so it would be fine to have the initial meeting with just me. She said that the would not do that. I told her that we don't need to meet as I would look elsewhere. She seemed fine with that. With that type of customer experience, I was glad to get out before I got involved in working with them. I would stay away.

Don't let these people into your home

Don't let these people into your home. Salesman must have been straight off of a used car lot. Wouldn't take "no" for an answer. He was in my home four and a half hours. Told him no two or three times and he kept coming back with "what is it that you're not happy about" and "what would it take to make you change your mind"?
They wanted $20K to remodel a small shower stall 42" X 42". Kept insisting on doing way more than I wanted done. Told me that's the only way they could honor the warranty.
After about three and a half hours I foolishly started signing pages that he was scrolling across a computer screen where it couldn't be read. I already knew I would cancel the job. I was just trying to get rid of the guy. I called about a week later to cancel, and was told I only had three days to cancel. This was after they told me the job wouldn't begin for another six to eight weeks.
Thet kept calling me wanting to know if they could come back out and we could work something out. I offered to pay the first dollar amount they quoted me in return for them supplying me with the material. Oh no, they couldn't do that because of the warranty.
I partially blame Lowes for partnering with these people. I've had to discontinue a long relationship with Lowes because of this. They continue to send a monthly bill which I have no intention of paying.

I only got as far as getting a quote

I only got as far as getting a quote. I live in a basic condo. The guy that came out, was very friendly. Found out we have friends in common. After 2 hours of him taking measurements and me picking out stuff, my quote for simple remodel of a bath and a half was $31k!. Not included was the painting of walls and ceilings. Wish I was told prices of items I chose. I know I can get work done much less expensive. And now I have them calling twice a day and leaving unintelligible messages.

Do NOT Use this Business

First off, I am being gracious with the one star. I wish there was a such thing as negative stars.
I have an older home and I was looking for a bath remodel. With me living in a small town I was directed to Lowe’s, who recommended Re Bath.
The rep, Anthony Walton, comes out, and has a personality larger than the house, and lies just as large.
1. I was told the WHOLE bathroom would be ripped out, and new walls would be put in to place. That did not happen. They scraped the wall paper, and there was bleed through, once the paint dried.
2. The ceiling was to be scraped, smoothed, and painted. That did not happen. It was painted over as is.
3. All cabinets and the vanity were to be built on site by a crew of workmen. The cabinets and vanity were prefab, and that work crew was one man, who was working on a time limit, doing everything. No too mention, they were to have their own power supply, but he was using my electricity.
3. I have an older home, there was previous flooring that needed to be scraped; instead he tries to lay the new flooring over the old flooring, and there are lumps everywhere.
4. The moisture panel is nothing more than a mold housing due to the way it was placed on the ceiling.
In conclusion, if Re Bath is recommended, DO NOT ENTERTAIN THE IDEA. If you do us them, and the send a designer representative, by the name of Anthony Walton, don’t listen to a word he says, because every other word is an untruth.
If you call customer service to speak with superiors, good luck! There answer to everything is, you signed a contract.

Re-bath of Chattanooga expensive and worth it!

Re-bath of Chattanooga followed the original plans perfectly. The installers, Eric and Cody, were professional. They protected our home while working and always cleaned up when finished. The finished project is beautiful.

Great Experience with Re-bath

We had the entire master bath gutted and remodeled. I am skeptical with any contractors just by nature. They gave us a window of starting in12-14 weeks. Almost every week, the office either called us or sent an email with info/details/order status update. We were called with a start date within the time frame they gave us. They are good on communications and customer relations. The Lead installer Colin introduced himself and slowly and systematically explained how his process works and what to expect. Then he went to work. I'm not sure but I think he had a magic wand. Blink your eyes and "it" was done, whatever it was. Not only was he quick but he's a craftsman as well. This was the norm everyday he was here. I can't say enough good things about him. Thank you Re-Bath for making this a heck of a lot easier than I expected.
Respectfully,
Frank

I wrote a review about Reath several…

I wrote a review about Reath several years ago. That’s the amount of mold that crows in our shower. I was told that I didn’t clean it enough. We’re cleaning it every three days just to get rid of the mold. I have talked to other comp, that said there was mold behind the wall when they put it up Because it was installed in 2014 we’re just supposed to put up with mold now they were in a hurry to get it done and mold should’ve been spread first. As I said, I have talked to other companies and they’re not having the same problems. You’re asking for a date and they’ve got an October date of this year believe me this was done several years ago, but we have been putting up with mold for years and our other bathroom has no mold at so the mold is behind the walls. We’re at the process of spring Clorox directly because we just can’t use that shower

I found out that bathtub to walk in…was a good choice for us.

I found out that bathtub to walk in shower conversion is expensive. You can save some money by going with independent contractors like the ones at Angi's but it takes several days and is a real chore and hassle when other companies like ReBath do it in one day. Going with a reputable bathroom remodeling company is your best bet. I chose ReBath because of their rating and the fact they're backed by both Lowe's and Home Depot.
The sales was not high pressure like most of the others and the salesman (Joe) was very easy to work with and helpful in making choices. Our choice was the Durabath Acrylic because my research showed that all the acrylics used by bath remodel companies are pretty standard with great quality and looks great. We didn't even consider the fiberglass ones. They have higher quality, higher price and high maintenance choices like Nature Stone and Lux stone but we passed on them. The biggest problem was with the installation date we agreed on, which was postponed late on the eve of the installation date and given a new date 13 days later! I must also point out that ReBath prices were the most customer friendly and the installation team Victor/Domenic) were professional and did a fantastic job! Estimates at four other well advertised bath remodel companies were 3K to 6k more for the same 32"x60" acrylic custom material shower and accessories 5/16in sliding glass doors/ 3 grab bars/ 6 shelves/ folding seat/ 2 robe hangers). You must get 4-6 estimates to make an informed decision and DON"T let them "high pressure" you into signing until you review them all! This is the ReBath company in the Greater Pittsburgh, Pa area.

Oh- Rebath…where should I start

Oh- Rebath…where should I start. If I could give it 0 stars I would because 1 star is being generous. 1. It’s overpriced-our job cost 14,000 and unfortunately it was money wasted. 2. The clear silicone chalk is substandard material, as water continued to get underneath it, causing us to have to re-chalk it over and over again. We complained to the company. They even came out and re-chalked…but the mold returned. And even so it feels like we re-chalked it one thousand times more the mold underneath continued to grow. How frustrating! Honestly it needs to be ripped out and renovated again. Dont waste your money or time. Let me save you some frustration. Totally ridiculous…for 14,000!

Very disappointed - customer satisfaction not a priority

While I have nothing but praise for efforts of installation team, I am far from happy with paying over $32,000 (just for their work) for a totally renovated bathroom. They were helpful picking out fixtures and finishes. Showroom very small though without a lot of floor examples to actually see. After job started, we realized that we had not selected a vanity light fixture. I asked them to order one then saw they were going to charge me $850 for a pretty standard 4-light fixture! I cancelled immediately and found one online for $200 that is perfect. They also recommended an electrician they routinely work with who quoted me over 3X what the electrician I used quoted. Demolition took way longer than they planned for which I tried to prepare them for based on the age of my home. Beneath original tile was 2-3” of cement “mud” that was overwhelming the 2-man team. This also put them behind ”their” schedule. Then the installer’s assistant quit with no notice but installer carried on alone. Toward the end, another assistant came on board but was pulled off my job after a few hours to work on another job. So although needing at least a few more hours (maybe half day) and some help to properly complete my job, my installer worked until 9pm that night saying he couldn’t come back. They said it would be “paint ready” when finished and it definitely is not. Plaster/caulk needs more work as well as drips and some marks needing to be cleaned off finished ”tile” panels. They offered to send professional cleaning team but more than cleaning needs to happen. Once electricians ($1,000+) are done I still needed painter to prepare and finish walls and ceiling. Not sure what he’s going to charge.

So bottom line is the presentation was great, installers were great until management had them focused on next job, which made my job suffer in my opinion. If your job takes longer than their job time "formula" they walk away and onto the next project scheduled. I have to say I felt abandoned. My job was no longer a priority. Once you sign on, they provide very little guidance. The installers were asking me for specs on vanity, mirror, cabinet, etc., which I thought they would have and I couldn’t find on my contract. The salesperson was very nice but disappeared, never heard from him again unless texting me answers to the many questions that came up. Supervisor never came by to check on anything, until he had to deliver the half of the toilet that was misdirected in transit. Not their fault. I wanted to love my new bathroom and hope I will sometime soon, but I certainly don’t yet.

Beware - Not as they seem

Overall, I am pleased with the final product, but it was a bumpy ride.

The positive aspects include: 1) Offering one year 0% financing (Note: the one year starts when you sign the contract, not when work starts), 2) Offering tile that matches our bathroom as opposed to giant stone composite slabs or plastic, 3) Friendly installers and office people.

There are some things that weren’t exemplary: 1) We signed our contract in February. It states work will begin in TWO weeks. The sales person told me FOUR to SIX weeks. Work actually began in June, 2) They called me before the work started and said they would have to delay one day. Unfortunately, they did not communicate with their subcontracted electricians and they showed up unexpectedly on the original date. 3) Once work started, they informed me that the lead installer was going on vacation in the middle of our installation (Wednesday and Thursday) and would finish when he returned, 4) The installer returned from his vacation late and no one notified me that he was not returning on Friday until I called the office, 5) Because of the way our old tub was shaped, there was a large gap in the flooring ( ~3”), that they wanted to cover with a white plastic molding, 6) They up-charged me $1,500 to install matching tiles I supplied, which I believe was excessive and over the high price you already pay to get your job done “fast”, 7) Final work was over the original estimate with the last-minute $1,500 up charge for setting floor tile, 8) After installation, we noticed the spout for the tub moves easily, indicating the pipe in the wall is not secured properly (which they subsequently fixed by injecting glue into the wall).

Other things to expect: 1) This is a messy process. Although they take precautions (covering all the floors in their path to the bathroom with tarps), dust still goes everywhere, 2) If you try to match a tile (like we did), the match may not be exact. 3) The 0% financing only works if you pay it off in full before the ending of the promotional period. If you don’t, the 17.99% interest is retroactive to the original date of the loan. That’s how most of these offers work. The 12 months 0% start when you sign the contract, even though work may not begin for months).

Overall, I think they are an *okay* company. They are expensive. The manager who charged $1,500 extra for the tiling, the installer vacation time in the middle of the installation, the lack of communication with their electricians and the tub spout is why my rating is two stars. The surprise up charge really annoyed me and brought our total cost to about $20k.

I hope this was helpful. Best wishes!
