Not worth the money! A real money trap, you pay so much for tickets and then have to spend double that at the event to do anything! Paid £30 for 1 adult and 2 small children to ride a monster truck for 2 mins and queued over an hour! There is only 1 monster truck which just drove around in circles for 10 minutes. Honestly find something else to spend your money on because this is the worst event I have ever been to especially for the price paid

Great day loads to do, kids loved it!! Prices on stalls quite punchy but I guess that's typical we these sort of events.

In all my years in events, this has to be one of the best I've seen.
The lovely team are experts in their field and they're dedicated to make sure everyone has a great time.
It's unusual to find an event that wants to cap numbers to make sure there's room for all and not just to get as many in a possible. They were hot on safety when the winds were high, they made sure the traffic was as light as possible by opening up another part of the track. There was so much to see and do and all who attended looked like they had a fantastic time.
They left the site spotless too!
We are already looking forward to welcoming them back next year 😀

Attended Plumpton yesterday and wasnt impressed! £80 for a family ticket to stand in a field where the only thing that isnt going to cost you more money is to watch a couple of dirt bikes and a monster truck. Everything else going on was extortionate! £5 a ride on the fairground and £8 for a box of small nuggets and chips for children. We had 2 kids with us and within 30mins in the fair we were nearing on £60 spent. The fairground rides lasted 30 seconds if that. I wouldn't have minded this so much if we hadnt already spent £80 on entry! Can spend that getting into chessington and having rides all day for free. Absolute madness we left after 2 hours because we just felt like we were being milked for every penny we had.
I believe all negative feedback gets deleted from social media as theres a lot of unhappy people on Google and TripAdvisor but nothing on any of their social media.

After reading all the negative reviews on here, I was abit dubious of still taking the hour or so long trip, but as they say don’t always believe what you read. From the minute we turned up in the car park, the staff were very polite and helped us get closer as my parents were disabled but they managed to get us to the front. The whole thing I/ we can not fault, we had a great day with you guys and everything was out of this world. We loved it and was well worth the money and the trip. Loads of food stores to choose from whatever your taste, rides and activities for the kids. Great day! Great staff! Great shows! AMAZING!

This event is great for all the family, highly recommended. Has something for everyone, monster trucks, rides, family friendly pro wrestling, motorbikes. Great choice of food vendors too and great value for money!!!

Sold tickets to a monster truck show when there was no monster truck due to mechanical issues. Tried to contact the company numerous times, no response.

When I head to the showground, I was greeted by the workers and they were so kind to. The food is amazing, the monster trucks, Motors, and the entertainments were incredible and the singers on the stage were fantastic! The rides there was so much fun, the games were fun and I 100% recommend to go to one of these ra monster events! Thank you for the fantastic experience!

Motorfest in Pickering was incredible!!

Me and my friends found the whole day amazing. The monster trucks were awesome to watch AND ride, i enjoyed listening and singing along to the live music. The were so many different food options. We watched the best family friendly wrestling shows were the wrestlers got so involved with the crowd and everyone loved it! I would go back again!!

I 100% recommend for a friend or family day out!!

I went to one of the RA Monster Events and all I can say is it was fantastic. From start to finish, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Staff were polite and helpful to any need. Truly can’t find any faults whatsoever.

I was at the pickering event last weekend and despite the weather, i had a fantastic time, the staff were very helpful when I was confused on where stuff was, they were also very accommodating when the weather caused issues for a lot of the attractions.

So overall I'd highly recommend anybody near these events to go it's well worth every penny.

Having read the reviews I think adding some clarity to the situation is definitely needed.

We attended Sunday, during Storm Dave, anyone travelling in to pickering would have seen all of the broken branches and felt the rain and wind.

When we arrived the ground was really soft, clearly the storm had hit hard, it was still really cold, really windy and not nice weather, this can't be helped, the organisers didn't order it (like some seem to think). It was sad that the inflatables were down but even if they weren't i wouldn't have allowed my child to go on in that weather so from a safety standpoint I get it.

It's clear most people haven't been to a music festival in the UK, there aren't seats or shelters provided and if you live in the UK you know to pack waterproofs at easter! You go to an outdoor event you have to be prepped for everything.

The monster truck broke twice BUT it did break after it crushed some cars so we did get to see that!

The stage singers carried on regardless, it was cold and awful but bless them they were still singing their hearts out.

And I tell you something, those wrestling guys are braver than me in their tiny outfits still wrestling and spending time with fans after!

We went back again on Monday as the tickets we reusable because of the weather and it was a completely different day, the weather was glorious, the monster truck was fixed, inflatables up and dear god the foam party covered everything, I was talking to a dad who's daughter had been in it twice and didn't want to leave, it was enough for me to watch from the sidelines!

So Sunday, I get it, the weather was awful and safety was prioritised but we got 2 days entry for 1 ticket price and really enjoyed our time, I absolutely don't think it deserves the 1* reviews.

My advice, pack some thermals and waterproofs, bring a blanket and understand that British weather in Yorkshire is 80% awful, 90% chance of it ruining your day and 100% unpredictable, Sunday wasn't the fault of the organisation and Monday free entry absolutely made it worthwhile

Great family friendly events!
Can’t believe all the negativity on here. The event in Pickering was unfortunate due to the storm but the event providers did everything they could to ensure the entertainment continues as much as possible.

Comments such as no Ms Rachel make 0 sense as she is there at every single event 1-2pm on the stage.

I don't usually get around to reviews, but due to the polar range of reviews I wanted to reassure anyone booked that we had a suprisingly great day! We didn't come across reviews until after booking and thought we had fallen for a scam, we considered cutting our losses and not going, but we're so glad we did go! Our 6 year old had an amazing day and hasn't stopped talking about it.

We went to Pickering on Easter Monday. The shows all ran as per the schedule and we found there was good variety and impressive stunts. The monster truck was fun, it does mainly just drive around and over the cars, but I'm not sure what else it would be likely to do. There was a great multi-vehicle stunt show, with about 10 riders on quads, motorbikes and other vehicles, and also a classic motorbike ramp-jumping type show, and a champion skills type motorbike stunt show. There was a show on every hour for about half an hour each, in between we went to watch other things like the wrestling, which was fun, the music stage, and the characters like transformers you could take photos with. The 4 main arena show groups all did second shows so it was on all day. We didn't really have any down-time or feel the need to spend much on the rides. Rides were the same prices we have seen at other fairgrounds/events, £3 for the young kids rides. Our child took a budget of £10 and picked one ride, and the hook a duck which was £6, sounds a lot but it was prize every time and our child picked a sizable cuddly monster truck which made the rest of the day extra special for him and has been a nice souvenir to remember the day, so didn't feel too bad. We took a picnic and didn't get any food as we knew it would be expensive like at most events.

The staff and performers were all really friendly and enthusiastic which added to the day. Lots of performers came out for photos and were fun with the kids. The costumed characters were good at being playful too.

It wasn't overly busy and we had no difficulty being able to stand with a good view as there was plenty of space around the arena.

All in all, we're really glad we went, and if we had seen all the negative reviews before we never would have booked, I thought the positive reviews must be fake. I'm not sure if we were just lucky and some days are different due to weather or other unpredictable circumstances. It was a lovely sunny day for us. Maybe the marketing gives unrealistic expectations as a highlight reel. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying it whilst we were there in any case. Based on the day we went, I would recommend and we came away with good memories and very happy we ended up going!

Great show, great staff. Great rides for the kids and adults, and a wide selection of food stalls. Great family day out

We attended the Pickering event Monday 6th April, WOW what an event it was. the kids couldn’t get enough of the monster trucks and the bike shows were great, even a Mrs Rachel act for the little one. There was so much food to choose from we tried the cone pizzas which were fantastic this event is definitely not one to miss.

the kids loved the rides, and the foam party was such a fun highlight.
The monster truck ride was a massive highlight and even better, my boy got to sit right at the front which made his day! 🥹
Great food choices and parking was really easy too, which just made everything even better.
Such a brilliant, action packed day we all loved it!

Went to Pickering show.
Lets be honest- you are never going to get hours of Monster truck stunts in a field!
but there was a monster truck, it was loud and crushed cars

Also saw motorbike and other stunts. Our kids had photos with characters. Master S loved the transformers, whilst Miss S loved the bear

I'll try be fair, but yeah first time at a monster truck show and as others have said it broke twice, so we was stood around all day from half 10:30am-15:00pm, can't really help a miss hap I get that but yeah I'm guessing no chance of any refund, but £20 per person to see a few minutes of the monster truck drive, and waiting for hours and hours to see something great happen. I did enjoy my day out for a day out but I wouldn't go again. Again as others have said expect fair ground rides and food that is pricey, wouldn't of minded at all if we just got to saw something amazing with the monster truck. Didn't mind waiting for hours in the queue to ride on the back of the other monster truck because that's something I'll probably not get to do again. So that was fine. And the last kick to teeth is really the emails saying sorry for the wind Friday and Saturday ticket people, so free entry Sunday. And sorry for the Sunday truck breaking down, so come again free Monday, I drove a hour and half to see it a one time thing, so wouldn't really get the chance to just get the free ticket entry...and saying that I ordered three tickets by mistake so only two people went and yeah again no chance of refund or even a response. All in all, yeah it was fine, yeah the main event broke twice!! That can't be foreseen, but nah I'm good with a free entry ticket but spent alot of money here to just stand around basically all day. I tried to make the best of a bad situation and I shouldn't really have to say all this to just go see a cool show. Abit let down, my child didn't even remember it by Monday (today) so nothing memorable which is a shame for a young one. ( I will add on as I forgot, but yeah no snow foam party no optimus prime or bumblebee costumes not much as advertised on social media again what a shame)
