I was switched from CenturyLink Fiber to Quantum Fiber, and the experience hasn’t been great. With CenturyLink, I rarely had connection issues. Since the switch, I’ve been getting “Network connection was lost” errors almost every week, which has been really frustrating, especially since I rely on a stable connection.

On top of that, I signed up expecting 940 Mbps service but was only given 500 Mbps. When I reached out to fix it and asked about the advertised $45 rate for new customers, I was told I’d have to pay $75 because I’m an existing customer. I even asked them to check their records to verify what I originally signed up for, and they said they don’t keep that information, which was surprising.

Between the unreliable connection, not getting the speed I signed up for, and the pricing issues, I’ve decided to switch to a competitor’s fiber service.

We had service started 6 weeks ago. Several outages already, they left the cable strung across the yard with promises to have someone come bury it in 2-3 weeks from installation. Still not buried. The latest outage has been since midday yesterday and not estimated to be up until late tonight, but I am not holding my breath. There have been other estimates that have not been met. I wish I would have checked reviews before starting their ‘service’ if you can call it that. Do not waste your time and money for service that is not a bit reliable and you cannot get a straight answer of when you might have service from day to day. I will be finding alternative service. So disappointing.
