They have taken advantage of my elderly mother, which is their practice it would seem. continue to take money unauthorised
This is a complete ripoff and a scam…
This is a complete ripoff and a scam they should be locked up initially they took £1.95 for postage asked the woman I spoke to are you going to take any more money she said no now they have had 2 x £19.95 in one month this is for there subscription which works out at £39.90 per month that is a lot of money in a year contact your bank so they can put a block on future payments what a con I’ll be reporting them to of com one star is far to much for scammers like this 👎👎👎👎
Massive scam daylight robbery
This company rang me to say I had won and they needed a postage fee to send me confirmation, took money from my bank and then took £19.95 for monthly subscription which I never agreed to, I have rang them multiple times and they constantly say it’s cancelled and will refund nothing has ever came back to me, literally day light robbery. And sending absolute loads of rubbish through my door absolute disgrace waste of paper and postal resources.
TV WORD SEARCH SCAM
I entered a TV wordsearch competition and won. But received a letter to phone them. Rung them. They said I had to pay an admin charge with my credit card. Told them I don't have a credit card so can they just deduct the admin fee from the 10k prize and send cheque for balance. They said NO. ????. I said is this a scam. No she says we advertise on TV. So I said don't mean anything. Said more but never got my prize. Definitely a scam to get your card details. 😒
Scam
Scam, I was told a one off payment of £1.95 but 2x £19.95 taken from my account, disgusting. I will be contacting the Ofcom!!

Scammed my Mum
Scammed my Mum - charged £20 for a phone call for a response to a word search competition results. Watch out for the letters with the competition manager Anne Thompson
A Major TV scam
I was called by this company and they wanted to know a credit or debit card number to take £1.95 for them sending me more puzzles to solve and that I was on the short list to win the £10,000 prize. Then they rattled of about a hundred words so quickly, it was not understandable. However I caught the figure of £19.50 being mentioned, and then knew it was a scam. I am a pensioner. This company should be investigated, and their directors brought to Justice. Then throw the key away. One star is too many, I would give it minus 10 stars. Where is British Justice gone? We are being scammed on a daily basis, and nobody seems to care. Also the TV Company that broadcasts this scam should be banned and fined.
Scandalous!
I was told when 'Puzzle on line' contacted me that subscription was £1.95 a month and £19.95 has been taken out of my account! Scandalous!
I've sent an email asking for my money back and also rang the number that no-one seems to answer.
I wished I'd looked at trust pilot first!
Don't getscammed
I am like many of people that I've read on reviews basically you think you are only paying £1.95 checked my bank today and yes they have taken out £19.95 from bank
The £1.95 taken for postage, is unknowingly to set up a reoccurring transaction
I entered their competition on the ITV. They called me to say I was in the final lineup to potentially win the prize. They said they wanted to send me information and some free prizes, because of how far I’d gotten in the competition. They kept mentioning that it’s free, but they couldn’t cover postage, which was £1.95, and that they would also take £1.00, which the £1.00 would be refunded. At first I gave them my electronic disposable card details, because it’s safest to use. They attempted three times, (three disposable cards) and only the £1.00 would go through, not the £1.95. I told her not to worry about the free pack. She said, they need to be able to take the payment, because they need to test the account, to make sure the prize money can go in, if I win. She also said, not to worry, because they can’t take additional payments or use my card, without a CVC number. These were the first red fraud flags I should had stopped at. Being an ad on ITV, I didn’t think this could be a scam. So I used my regular bank card. She was able to take the £1.95 and the £1.00. Thinking back on the conversation, I decided to look up the company. After seeing other reviews about reoccurring payments they didn’t sign up for, I contacted the company. I said that ‘I’ve been unknowingly signed up to a subscription without my knowledge and without my consent, and want it cancelled.” They didn’t deny it, they looked me up and told me that they just cancelled the subscription. I only have they’re word on this, and will have to wait and see if this is the case. I asked them to confirm my name, because they didn’t ask for any details when I requested cancellation, and they confirmed my name. This is another red fraud flag, that they’ve confirmed the subscription, by confirming it has now been cancelled. I contacted my bank, so see if I can get my charge refunded, and the subscription cancelled from my end. My bank confirmed that the £1.95 payment, was indeed for a reoccurring transaction, (which I didn’t agree to and had no idea this is what the company had set up, I was told that it was for postage). My bank can’t reverse the charge, but they are putting a block on the transaction, so the company is unable to take any money. I have also reported the companies ad to the Advertising Standards Agency, because what they did to me, is breaking the law.
Puzzle online fraud
Like all the other reviews I too have fallen victim of this fraudulent company. I use the word fraud as I was not told that further payments of £19.95 would be deducted and more importantly that my card details would be stored as I did not subscribe to direct debits or a subscription. I did question why a large company would ask for p&p of £1.95 but the lady was pushy and convincing hence I reluctantly gave my card details. At no stage was there any mention of future payments. I have contacted my bank and asked for them cancel any further payments and requested for the transaction to be reversed which may take a few days. It’s not just the elderly that falls prey to scams but all vulnerable hard working people. I’m surprised a big corporation such as ITV is allowing this clandestine activity to continue.

Puzzleplayonline Vile Scamming Vultures
So my mum was called relating to a prize win into a prize draw, after she answered the TV crossword.
She was given a load of spill the same as everyone else and ONLY told she had to pay £1.95 postage for a puzzle booklet, to win more prizes.
No mention of a subscription, and nothing more to pay, until she recently checked her bank statement and £19.95 had been taken from her account!
My mum had already called her bank after her card details were taken for the postage £1.95 as she realised it must be a scam... So the bank issues a new card but they still managed to take £19.95 so now they have been reported again and a chargeback is now in place.
So do not fall for this scam, clearly everything needs to be treated as a scam now days, So do not give out your bank details to any callers!
DONT BE FOOLED
My mum called me to say that she's won 11k and prizes through a competition she entered through it. She said all the company required was £1.95 postage costs payable via card payment. I called the company myself on behalf of my mum and spoke to Amy who wasn't keen in giving me her surname as she wasn't comfortable with doing that, I asked her if my mum had won any prizes and she said no, she has just been entered into the final phase of the competition and may have a chance of winning.
I said to Amy that you made it sound like to my mum that she had won this competition which she denied and said to me that she she definitely said to my mum she had been shortlisted and has an awnser for everything.
My mum's 75 years old and still has her marbles and is very aware of scams going on nowadays, hence why she contacted me in regards to this but she is adamant the person that called her made it sound
like she had won the 11k and prizes and not just shortlisted for the prize
I said to Amy about the reviews I'd read on trust Pilot and about the subscription others have been charged at a later date and she said that is made very clear in the phone call and the person entered can opt out at any point, which again was definitely not mentioned to my mum during the phone call.
I recorded this call I made to them and wish I could upload it to here for others to listen to but I can't but I will be contacting ITV and taking this further if I can to warn and highlight to other people how clever this company is in thinking that you have won something when your actually just signing up for a subscription.
As I said my mum's still got her marbles and not stupid by far but was this time she was nearly fooled into this by scamers who pray on the vonreble so please don't give them any details and if you do win a prize you would pay a lot more that £1.95 for postage on an iPhone 15 and other prizes as this would be tracked and signed for.
Dont be fooled and stay safe
DO NOT BELIVE THEM AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR…
DO NOT BELIVE THEM AND DO NOT GIVE YOUR BANK OR CARD DETAILS!!!
They call to say you have made the final for giving the correct answer to the “free” Wordsearch puzzle shown on ITV. They say you have won some lottery tickets and a Wordsearch book along with some other prizes but you have to cover the £1.95 postage.
At the time I thought this was a con so used an account to pay where I don’t really put money into it, just leave a couple of pound in there.
Two weeks later after paying the £1.95 they attempted to take £19.95, luckily as I do not use that account it was declined by my bank. At no point did they call handler say by paying the £1.95 postage you are going to then be signed up to a subscription and they will take £19.95 which I presume is a two weekly payment reading everyone else’s reviews.
I haven’t received any of the “free” stuff they promised which I’m really not surprised about and so glad I used a bank account I don’t really use to pay the £1.95!
Luckily I can just cancel that card I used anyway, but other people may not realise, this company should be ashamed of themselves as they are committing fraud as at no point did they ask if I wanted to start a subscription with them and at no point did they say I would be paying £19.95 every two weeks.
They are targeting vulnerable people and taking money without consent.
Horrific
Horrific! I did not sign up as I checked reviews first. Nasty company, horrible staff that just want to take your card details whilst just about keeping within the law to mumble you the possible £19.95 a month.
They should be shut down and I cannot wait to put this company into my documentary. Glad they called, great timing for me as I was looking for a company like this. So sorry to anyone who has been tricked by them or caught in their white web.
SHUT THEM DOWN!
This is a SCAM they are taking money…
This is a SCAM they are taking money off my mother a vulnerable pensioner. She never signed up for direct debit but now she's paying over £19 a month. We have tried to cancel but they keep taking payment. This company is vile and ITV are vile too for allowing this to happen. Taking food out of pensioners mouths and ITV think this is fine what a world we live in.
This is a scam
This is a scam they take £1.95 for postage and then you find out that they have signed you up for fortnightly payments they have taken £79.80 from my account.
They should be disgusted with themselves and also ITV should not allow this to happen.
Absolutely appalling.
Terrible company my mum did the same…
Terrible company my mum did the same thing as the other reviewers and even thou I cancelled them over the phone they have taken 3 X £19.95 out of the bank account really not happy and have tried to contact them again but the telephone number given you do not get an answer from and there online webpage does not even exist
