The McKinsey Game instructions are quite convoluted. I wouldn’t advise jumping into the game unprepared. Understanding what to expect before playing the game is a requirement; getting practice is even better.

Participating in the course allowed me to do precisely that: it helped me understand what the game entails and how to prepare effectively. I would suggest this course if you are applying to McKinsey.
