Everything went well but...
Everything went well. Only thing wrong is that they did not update the car system to tell it that the tyres were new and that the pressure was correct. Others have.

A number of tyre choices were available with good prices that included fitting etc. My car was booked in within 24 hours and on the day there were no delays. Everything completed on time.

Over inflated my new tyres!
Everything was fine during the appointment to have 2 new rear tyres fitted but after the appointment, I checked my tyre pressure setting on my dashboard which stated one new tyre pressure was 33psi & the second was 36psi when the recommended tyre pressure is 32psi so I had to go to my local petrol station to correct the tyre pressures which cost me £1.50. I'm not very impressed.

Staff were friendly and welcoming
Staff were friendly and welcoming, I was really impressed that when they had fitted my replacement tyre, they pumped up the spare before putting it back in the bottom of my boot, placed the locking wheel nut back in it's slot with the tyre and also reset the tyre pressure screen on the dash for me as standard, I didn't even have to ask! This was excellent service and more than I was expecting based on my experience of other similar services. I would definitely recommend this branch.

No faff
No faff, straight talking, no upselling. Booked them through blackcircles (intermediary) who were an absolute nightmare in terms of system errors/wrong appointment times but Protyre absolutely came through despite all the messing around they'd experienced - will book directly next time. Would recommend!

Excellent regarding booking
Excellent regarding booking, service and overall cost. All 4 tyres exchanged in about 1 hour.
Just a minor issue…tyres were over inflated 2.9 & 2.8 when 2.1 and 1.8 is advised on the plate fixed to the driver’s door.

MOT review
I appreciate this is an old review. On 20/8/25 I took my son's car for an MOT at Protyre-Leighton Buzzard. The car is a 19 reg and at the time, he was not racking up much mileage. I got a call from Protyre to say the MOT had registered the following advisories: Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories):
Nearside Front Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Brake pad(s) wearing thin (1.1.13 (a) (ii))
Offside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
Nearside Front Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
I was told they could rectify this by fitting new discs and brake pads, but it would cost around £700. I was suspicious of this and declined the work. As my son's safety is paramount to me, I booked the AA mechanic to come and replace both the discs and brake pads. After their mechanic inspected the discs and brakes he said I do not know why these issues were reported in the MOT as all discs had around 20mm and the disc pods were all above 6mm. As such, he said I am not going to waste your money by replacing items that are fit for purpose. Also, I was not charged anything for the visit. I did contact Protyre at the time, who gave an excuse that the mechanic who did the MOT made a mistake (on all discs and pads!!!). Anyway, today the car went for its next MOT and I decided to use a new garage in Leighton Buzzard. Guess what, the car had a clean MOT with no advisories and I was told the brakes and discs were good for another year at least. I find it hard to believe a qualified mechanic would get the readings wrong on all discs and brakes. That said, I have lost trust in the garage and will continue to use the garage I went to today in the future.
