I actually stumbled across PDW completely by chance about two years ago. I was early for an appointment in Hull and ducked into Trinity Market for a coffee, only to find myself completely mesmerised by a group of dog trainers with the most incredible dogs I'd ever seen up close; German Shepherds, Dobermans, Cane Corsos, all enormous, all utterly focused and calm. I spotted the logo on their matching jackets and immediately started following them on social media, and I've been keeping an eye on them ever since.

As the owner of a hugely reactive, anxious dog (a Standard Poodle called Stanley) who was so terrified of other dogs that he needed a muzzle and had a habit of biting clean through leads, it was genuinely inspiring to see those big dogs with such composure and attention. When I discovered that PDW offered residential obedience training alongside their protection work, it really stuck with me. We were in touch a few times over the years, and recently decided to just go for it and send Stanley to them for four weeks.

To say we're ecstatic with the results would be an understatement. The handover session alone was worth its weight in gold. Our trainer, Jonty, took us through all the techniques and the thinking behind them before reintroducing us to Stanley and letting us see everything in action. There was loads of time for all of us (me, my partner, and my parents, who came along for moral support!) to practise the commands ourselves, which made such a difference. Then came the moment that genuinely made my jaw drop: Stanley being slowly circled by two Dobermans and a Rottweiler, completely unbothered. He then walked straight past a cat -his absolute nemesis for years - without so much as a second glance. I could have cried.

We're home now and out walking locally, and it really is a completely different dog. The pressure's firmly on us to maintain the training and keep the standards up, but we feel well set up to do that - and honestly, we're just so excited about how much this has changed things for Stanley, and for us as a family. Couldn't recommend PDW highly enough.

I never write reviews but felt I had to after reading the negative ones I’ve just read . I have 2 Dobermans from protection dogs worldwide.
I have friends who also have since had dogs from there so I’m speaking from first hand experience. I visited several times before leaving with my 2 amazing Dobermans sometimes unannounced .
Firstly the dogs are treated with love and respect, all are trained to an extremely high standard and are assigned and integrated into a family setting not only with the owners of PDWs own family, but also staff that work there. They do not let you choose which dog you want , they let the dogs choose you, then you are vetted by the owners of PDW to makesure you are suitable. The kennels are spotless with televisions airconditioning/Heating . I was amazed how well these dogs are treated, I liked the fact they do not care about money it’s all about the welfare of the dogs. You are fully supported after you take the dog away for as long as you need . I visited several other organisations and PDW are by far the best . I can Highly recommend PDW hence the need to comment .

The team at PDW training helped me with my dog. I have never owned a dog before, I am a complete novice when it comes to anything dog training related.
I had issues which I thought were irreversible- reactivity, major lead pulling (to the point I wouldn’t walk Maggie in public) and overall behavioural/ obedience issues.
The team worked with myself and my dog to achieve outstanding results- I didn’t think it was possible. Everything was explained to me in ‘normal person terms’- I’m no expert so I was concerned I wouldn’t understand ‘why’ or ‘how’. But I left PDW training sessions with skills for life, and I am enjoying keeping up the training at home.
I am happier, my dog is happier and visitors to the house are also happier 😅

Was looking for the best of the best in terms of a proper well bred dog with the perfect balance of trust, discipline and performance. This searching process took me years and years before having the opportunity to meet Leedor and the team at PDW. Although they were located across the world I knew it has to be done. I am in the process of securing our second pdw dog now and fortunately and unfortunately 😅 cannot live without one anymore. My partner was a small dog lover and I quote “I can’t imagine life without a Doberman no more”.. such affection, loving, Velcro dogs with the work drive needed for incredible obedience and security. Very grateful for the ongoing friendship and support from the PDW team. Can’t recommend enough.

My friend showed me a story of their social media story of their dog training. It appeared that they were slapping the dog fairly hard. I enquired this to the owner of the company. Their response was to f*** off and blocked me. Terrible company, very unprofessional and abuse animals.

I took my dog Betty there for some obedience training and everything was spot on my dogs come back with such good manners and listens to commands that I was shown and taught to help with her needs, before she wouldn’t listen at all and now she listens to every command I give her and she’s so much better behaved.

Brought my dog for obedience training at PDW and cannot recommend them enough! She was with them for a few weeks and come back a completely different dog! Everyone was so professional & helped me understand how to carry her training on at home!
All the kennels and facility are kept at such a high standard! Cannot recommend them enough!

I cannot say enough positive things about Protection Dogs Worldwide! Leedor and his team go above and beyond for their dogs and their clients. The training and socialization that they give their dogs is absolutely amazing! We purchased a German Shepherd named Sid from them, and while we expected to receive a top notch dog, we never expected the wonderful experience that we had. From our very first communication with Jen and Leedor, to the handover with Harvey and Joe, it truly exceeded our expectations. We now have the perfect dog for our family. My husband and I can’t stop saying how perfect he is. We have two small children and a small, older dog that doesn’t like most dogs. Somehow, she liked Sid right off the bat. I’m assuming because of how well Sid was trained. He is also so gentle with the two kids. He was truly meant to be ours and we’re so grateful for PDW. Harvey and Joe, who completed the handover, were so wonderful to work with. They are extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell that this is more than just a job for them. They also made sure to include our 2.5 year old son in all the training. Where a lot of people would have been frustrated with having a 2.5 year old be a part of everything they did, Joe and Harvey embraced it. It made him feel so special. He asks almost every day when they are going to come back. We are so impressed with the PDW team and would highly recommend them. We feel so safe with Sid here and are so proud to have a dog that is so highly trained. I can guarantee that you will not find a better protection dog company than PDW. Firstly, we are from Austria and have always had dogs in our family. Most recently, we had a loving German Shepherd and a wolfdog, which we got later on. Unfortunately, our German Shepherd passed away unexpectedly, leaving our wolfdog very sad, as he's not used to being alone. It's well-known that wolves don't like solitude. As a result, I began searching for a female, having read that males tend to get along better with females. Our wolfdog, Ascan, can be quite challenging, especially with other males. I then came across PDW, and I was truly fascinated by their online presence, particularly how they handle and professionally train dogs. I reached out to PDW and promptly received a response. The head of the operation, Leedor, directly contacted me and answered all my questions professionally. After a brief exchange, I decided on a female dog.

Now to the crucial part: I don't usually write reviews, but I find it important to share this information: My dog, Lienna, was transported to Austria in a very professional manner, which was already a positive experience. On the first day, there was the anticipated meeting with my wolfdog, who was initially very aggressive towards the female. However, thanks to the professional work of the PDW trainers, it didn't take long for the two dogs to truly bond! It was heartwarming to see our wolfdog joyful again. The initial handover was extremely professional, and it's impressive how well-trained the dog is - kudos to PDW for their outstanding work. She's so attentive, responds to every word, and it's evident she has always been treated very well. All in all, we're so grateful for our decision and highly recommend PDW, hoping more dogs from them find good homes. Many thanks to the entire PDW team; we're truly overjoyed! A thousand thanks! Excellent experience at Protection Dogs. Recently had my dog in for training and he’s come back super sharp. The process is fantastic at PDW and Leedor is a delight to work with. He helped me choose the correct dog and I can’t fault his guidance

I took my puppy there for training and not only did they train my puppy they also went through everything they had taught him when I picked him up.
The kennels were super clean and all the dogs looked like they were thoroughly enjoying themselves!
