I rarely leave negative reviews, but this has been the worst experience I’ve had purchasing music equipment.

I ordered what was supposed to be a brand-new Neumann MT 48. When it arrived, I immediately noticed items moving around inside the box before I even opened it. After opening the package, the contents were not properly secured, several accessories were out of place, and the packaging gave the impression that the unit had been opened previously. I also later discovered a scratch on the unit itself.

The product was poorly packaged, arrived dirty, had visible cosmetic damage, and did not inspire confidence that I had received a factory-new unit.

I contacted the company the same day (last Thursday) requesting either a factory-sealed replacement or a full refund. As of today, Monday, I still have not received a response regarding a replacement, and I’m now having to fight just to obtain a return shipping label so I can send it back for a refund.

When you’re spending this much money on professional audio equipment, you expect it to arrive in pristine, factory-new condition and to receive prompt customer service if there’s a problem. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend purchasing from this company.

Avoid this company and purchase elsewhere. In Jan. 2026 I spent $1200 to purchase a bass guitar & case bundle from Prosoundgear.com. They arrived separately, about 2 weeks apart. The bass guitar was defective, as testified to by my tech, who found the neck bowed, and the truss rod unturnable to correct it. I contacted the merchant as directed by their return policy, provided proof of the defect (and my tech's statement), expressed my dissatisfaction and expressed my desire for refund. They sent an RMA for the bass, which was shipped back to them. They stated that, since the case was shipped separately and not defective (DESPITE BEING PART OF THE BUNDLE I PURCHASED), I had to absorb the cost of sending that back, costing me $200. Since delivery of the bass back to them, merchant has not made any movement toward providing my refund, despite my following their exact procedures for such, and providing evidence of the defect. I have pictures of the defect and attestation to it by my technician. I have proof of return delivery of the defective gear to the merchant. I have an email thread ongoing with Prosoundgear.com since February, with more than 100 emails back and forth between us to this effect, with still no luck on my refund. The response I get is consistent: "I have escalated this matter to the department in question, and I will advise when I have a response." In more than 55 years as a professional musician, I have NEVER encountered a more frustrating purchasing experience. (And their statement that they are 'professionals' is one of the more laughable parts of all of this.) The one star I award is generous, and there only because 'zero' is not an option. Again, stay away from these guys.

The team at Pro Sound Gear helped me with a question I had regarding some sond system connections. Even though I am in Canada and they are based in the United States, (Miami) they responded quickly and efficiently.

Through WhatsApp, which was very convenient, they provided the information I needed within minutes.

I found them on Facebook, they appeared very professional, so I decided to contact them directly. I received a response almost immediately and they solved my issue without any complications.

Purchased an item from them through Amazon. They sent the wrong item. Saw that as soon as the box was opened. Immediately contacted Amazon who arranged a return. The company charged a $172 “restocking fee” because the item was “used.” Never removed it from the plastic! Went around and around with them. Finally went back to Amazon who refunded the full amount. Apparently, if they don’t have the item they send the wrong one and make money on the “restocking fee.” Scammers! Do not ignore the 1 star reviews. Avoid at all cost!

I purchased from this company, they do not stand behind the product they sell after 30 days you are on your own. I purchased a speaker and the battery is defective. They won’t do anything they told me to call the manufacturer manufacturer, not responding. I’m out of all my money. suggestion don’t buy anything from these people.
