I have used the Duolingo programme for a period of around 240 days.
I opened the app as usual and could not find any way of avoiding signing up to the Super Duolingo programme.
Normally a free period of time has been available with the option of a No Thank you towards the end of the stated period.
I cancelled the subscription at the earliest opportunity certainly within a few days.
I now find that I have been charged £59.99 for something I had no control over and for a service I have not been able to take advantage of.
I feel particularly aggrieved at this turn of events and if there is no redress to this situation I shall have to cease taking lessons under this scheme.
I do hope that a solution may be found.

I had an issue with AR15Discounts.com blocking me from using their site to make purchases. I reached out to customer service on multiple occasions for about a week trying to understand why I couldn’t use the site, all to no avail. I was continually ignored until pissed consumer reached out & the company contacted me almost immediately after I left my review with them. Turns out I owed a balance from a chargeback of items I allegedly purchased over a year ago. I had no idea about the chargeback bc I was never informed, & bc it happened so long ago, I couldn’t remember if I’d purchased the items or not, so I paid off the balance & was able to continue using the site. I don’t think this would have happened if pissed consumer hadn’t intervened. I am very grateful for their help & expertise. Would definitely use them again! Thank you pissed consumer!!!

They helped me get back most of the money I got scammed and overcharged for at a dentist thru Care Credit I was getting no response until I came on this site and then it was resolved a few days later thanks for the help

I have used Pissed Consumer twice, when all else failed. They were professional when I typed my complaint, took whatever action they take & got RESULTS. The first problem they helped me with was an issue with TEMU, who had charged me for an item, raised the price & just didn't send it. The second situation involved my cell phone carrier Lively-Great Call, with whom I had constant problems with service and the new phone they sold me . I could Never contact Customer Service, leaving numerous message to call, which they never did, as well a series of emails, which they ignored. I don't know how Pissed Consumer did it, but both companies responded and fixed the problems . If possible, I would give Pissed Consumer TWENTY STARS. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I looked up a company to get a customer service number to call and the number they provided, (844) 256-6299, was a fraudulent phishing scam for a fake $100 gift card. Not the company I was looking for. But yet, that phone number is listed as the top number with the highest interaction rates & best way to contact the company. Beware of this website as the information on there is bad.

Called one of the numbers (479) 343-6239 - listed for "Contact Experian Customer Service". Sounded like Experian. Asked for personal info and when I stupidly provided it, they hung up.

Agreed to trade in price on my Mustang at $32,000. On contract they said the trade was worth $30,000. They lied about the price on the $80,000 corvette and trade in. Veterans BEWARE as they not veterans friendly. Stay away from Ferman Chevrolet. They are truly unfriendly and HAVE NO veterans rebates. They owe me $2000.

Today I had an appointment with Homeaglow employee. I stated to her I need the kitchen and dining room cleaned and that it may take or may not take the three hours I paid for. She did a good job with the exception of cleaning a rain stain filthy mat in front of dining room door. I asked her to put dirty rugs in washing machine she than left my home after 1 15minutes. Home aglow charged my bank account two charged 26, and 60. It doesn’t state what for. Since she didn’t do three hours I would say were even. I would like to cancel my services with Homeaglow at this time. When they charge xtra for a service it need to be documented what the xtra charges are. I will dispute both charges with my bank.

As I celebrated my birthday on 8 August 2024, my McDonald’s app informed me that I had received a free ice cream. So, on 19 August 2024, around 4:20 PM, I went to McDonald’s Vredenburg, thinking I could claim the ice cream and get dinner for us. I redeemed the code at the self-service kiosk, but when I tried to complete my order, a message appeared stating, “current order was not met.” A staff member assisted me, but the issue began when she called the “Manager” for help.
The “Manager” came over, removed the voucher, and said it had expired, which was causing the error. I informed her that the voucher stated it was valid for 30 days, and the other staff member agreed with me. The “Manager” then said I needed to order something else with it, which I had already done. I explained that the app didn’t mention needing to order anything else—it was just a free ice cream cone. I eventually told the “Manager” to forget it since it seemed she wasn’t interested in listening or understanding.
She responded with a poor attitude, saying she would give me the ice cream anyway. However, she asked me to reopen the promo code, but since it had already been redeemed, the app wouldn’t let me do so. She kept insisting I order something else, despite already removing the voucher from the kiosk.
Frustrated, I told her to leave the ice cream. She then accused me of having a bad attitude and not listening, even though she kept talking over me. I do speak loudly, and I can’t change who I am to accommodate her. When I asked to speak to a manager, she responded quite arrogantly that she is the “Manager,” and I questioned her customer service skills, pointing out that she didn’t seem interested in resolving the issue. She then walked away to get security to remove me from the franchise. I told the security guard I wasn’t going anywhere and that we could resolve this.
When I asked the “Manager” why she was treating me this way, she said she was a human being and demanded respect as per McDonald’s policies and procedures she can remove me, despite her apparent knowledge of McDonald’s policies and procedures, I found it ironic that she was unaware of the free birthday ice cream promotion. I tried to explain again, but she continued to talk over me, repeating the same points. She accused me of mistreating other customers, which wasn’t true, and claimed I was shouting at her. When mall security arrived, I explained the situation, but the “Manager” interrupted again, demanding that I be removed because I wasn’t showing her respect. She even threatened to share video footage publicly to show how “bad” customers can be, without asking for my consent.
The security then asked if I could complete my order and leave. The “Manager” said I was banned from the franchise, and I asked why she was taking such extreme measures. She insisted I order and leave, but as I stood there processing what had just happened over a R9.90 ice cream, I decided not to complete my order, fearing she might tamper with my food. So, I left the store without completing my order. One customer even told me she agreed that the “Manager” didn’t handle the situation well and that employees probably treat people this way because they have a union behind them.
Outside, the security guards asked if I was okay, and I explained the situation to them as well. They agreed with me. Honestly, I think this “Manager” is not good at her job, as even the employees seemed frightened of her. When I first entered the store, she was loudly reprimanding an employee in front of everyone, embarrassing them over a food table.
Anyway, McDonald’s, thanks for offering the ice cream on my app, but I won’t have the pleasure of enjoying it.

I’m all done with PayPal. They are supposed to help you resolve an issue when you have one, if you use them to pay for your items. Twice now, they have done nothing for me. Most recently, I ordered some Fourth of July lights. They were over $250. PayPal tells you to go to the company that you bought them from first, which is what I did. They wanted pictures and a video of the item. I did everything they asked me to do. On the website it showed them outside hanging on a pole. The box came damaged. I tried to return them right away, but the consumer would not take them back , so I went through PayPal. After months of dealing with them, PayPal wouldn’t do a thing. I had a legitimate claim. They were still in the box and I wanted to return them. Also, on the website, it showed them outside on poles. When I got them, the box said that they were for indoor use only. I should’ve known better, but I didn’t realize when I ordered them that they were coming from China. They don’t tell you that. PayPal did nothing and I used to use them all the time. I don’t anymore.
