It has been an exasperating experience
It has been an exasperating experience. It has taken nearly 2 months to get my numbers ported from ATT. I get a slightly different story each time I call support. At one time I was told everything was good, the numbers were ready to port, and I would have my devices in two days. That was about three weeks ago. It's probably ATT's faulty but I still don't have the service or the devices and I'm frustrated.
Excellent service convenient price price
Pretty good.
INSTRUCTIONS TO SET IT UP COULD BE A BIT MORE INFORMATIVE AND BETTER ORGANIZED BUT ONCE YOU NAVIGATE THE WEBSITE TO FIND WHAT YOU NEED IT IS AS GOOD AS OUR PHONE SERVICE THROUGH XFINITY.

Terrible customer service and unreliable phone connectivity.
Don't trust phonepower any more. They aren't what they were in the 2010s
I was a phonepower customer for a few years from 2011-2013, when phonepower was a good company with good customer service and good technical support. Now, as a returning customer in 2022, I have found the opposite to be true. Website reliability is terrible, and they have some serious, simple-to-fix technical web issues that they refuse to address. Further, the technical support gives self-contradicting explanations. I don't mean things that seem to disagree: I mean false. For example, when the phonepower.com generated an internal website error when navigating to the login page, Technical support said the following throughout the conversation "we don't use usernames for login", "we don't use equipment mac address for login", "login is by username", "login is only by equipment mac address", "internal website error means login was wrong", "again, we don't ask for username at login";....when I tried in a different browser, instead of the internal error, I was asked for username and password...exactly as he said is NOT what happens and exactly said what DOES happen. Which one?
...at best, he was incompetent and didn't care about giving statements that contradict each other. At best, he was one of those people who acts as technical support for several cheap companies that only want to pretend they have technical support. Either way, he was an absolute jerk. I just don't want to do business with that sort of company.
They used to be good. I am thinking they were bought out by some conglomerate to be a low-cost cash-cow, or they simple decided they don't need to have any kind of decent customer service any longer.
I am so happy I realized this in the legal 30-day contract cancelation that became US law back in the 90s.
Be careful to read the dates on reviews. All the good ones are 5 years old or older.

It was a long process to get the telephone number transferred, but customer support was helpful. Emails came to update status. equipment was easy to install and the phone app is also quite good. I can check voicemails regularly which had been a problem with my previous provider. Also can easily use "old fashioned" method of dialing a code from the phone! Amazing. i haven't had the service long, but so far am very satisfied.

Phonepower has proven to be a reliable and great way to set up our phones. We have need of taking a line with us when we travel and Phonepower makes that possible. We have cordless phone systems set up at each location and just take the "box" with us and plug in at the secondary location. It's a great service with great customer service. I highly recommend Phonepower.
I had Phone Power before
I had Phone Power before. Went to another company because of a phone power tech blamed me for licensing issues on mobile devices. It was extremely irritating as my spouse was in the hospital at the time. So I'm back to Phone Power because the other company couldn't keep the service running. Phone power as a base service is OK. Just a lot of telemarking calls after hours now. I can't see the number on the ipad like I used to because of the licensing issues. So that's annoying. Had few calls to england and that's working properly. Still have the non-duplex talking issue where the other side can't hear me when they are talking. IE only one person can talk at a time. Not like cell or land line, but I save a ton of money than land line communication.
I did my research and picked Phone Power. Highly recommended
After 10 years with another company we needed to switch when we could no longer place calls to family members in one area code and that company could not resolve the issue. I did much searching online for a reliable and competitively priced voip service and decided on phone power. We decided on a plan that gave a second year free after prepaying for one year of service. Everything went smoothly, customer service was helpful and responsive and the transition to phone power went smoothly, Call quality is perfect, service is reliable and features are everything we wanted and more. Highly recommended!

Untill today I had reasonably decent experience with their telephone customer service. But today un-did all of that. I wasted almost an hour with the customer service rep on the phone who had no knowledge of my problem nor where to find a solution.

The website and softphone app look like they run on Windows 95. Everything is poorly developed and so user-friendly that it is a hassle. Embarrassing in every way. I feel like I'm sponsoring a high-school project.

Good for Friends and Family
I have used PhonePower for about 10 years in business and for home. I have recommended it colleagues and family. Everyone who has tried it has been successful after porting their phone numbers, which admittedly may have some bumps -- telcos don't like losing customers. It is a rock-solid service... and a bargain, even before considering all the features, which my service (VZ) adds fees, bogus taxes and fees for.
All in all a five out of five star service.
DSL said on Nov
DSL said on Nov. 1st no more online. So my wife originally signed up with DSL but she passed away from her cancer on July 4th. I'm not a real computer guy but I went with a deal. A online phone bundle. It was set to install on 8-30-21 and no show. I was assuming old service till new service. But before the 8-30-21 no show set up on 8-18-21 my phone stopped working. I called AT&T they said said you don't want us for phone anymore call DSL. Called DSL could not get thru but I still have my all reliable Verizon cell. Then I got a new install date 9-8-21 no show again. But before the 9-8-21 no show on 9-1-21 my online stopped. I called DSL they said they would get it all fixed 9-8-21 you know the second no show date. I got a set up date for 9-14-21 1-3 PM 4 hour set up time, said tech. guy would call my cell phone when heading over and arriving. Checking outside starting at 1PM checked at 2PM AT&T guy out setting in van. I went out said hi he was a nice guy but said he was about to leave. Said no one was answering the phone 951-688-1352 I said that number has not worked since 8-18-21. I gave them my all reliable Verizon phone number 951-203-3877 he said sorry they didn't give that one. He said he never hooked up one these before he read the paperwork and it worked. I called but no one cares AT&T left some hand tools behind. I will see a AT&T truck sometime and give them their tools back. Seems to be working most of the time, but sometimes I'm looking at the computer screen when the phone rings and sometimes the screen image flickers while the phone rings ???? I may have made a mistake do I go back to AT&T ? That's my story sad but true.
