U wanted me to buy sold secure lock which I did sent ya pics but u disputed cable with lock yet u wanted to take payment if I accepted if there was to b a claim u would of disputed cable as a issue..SO DO NOT SEND ME N E MORE OF YA USELESS EMAILS

Recently had a break in to my garage and had a couple of bikes plus a few accessories stolen. Pedalcover sorted the claim out very quickly with a minimum of fuss. I also have some buildings damage that needs to be sorted, and that is being dealt with a little bit more inefficiently by their separate underwriters, but as far as the cycle insurance goes, it was a very good experience. They say you don't know how good an insurer is until you need to claim - so 5 stars from me.

Update on original . Pedalcover have been in touch and amended the policy to now cover me for flooding. Slight increase in fee. One more star given now to reflect the amendment.
Disappointed. Was happy with cover last year. Missed info in an email stating cover will change this year. Auto renewal came through and I noticed I was no longer covered for flooding. Quite important as I live next to a river! They knew this when I took insurance last year but instead expect you to spot changes to the policy and tell them prior to renewal. Cancellation or amendment will incur charges

The best company for holiday insurance if you're going to do any kind of cycling.

Refused to pay out for a stolen bike from A garage. All security and conditions met the criteria as it’s explained on line.
They have changed the goal posts.
What’s more frustrating is Kian who spoke to yesterday in our call admitted to me he had not seen half the evidence and that they were happy with what is sent there sticking point is a lock on a door that wasn’t even used to gain entry. And the lock met the wording requirements this company will change there terms to suit them. After taking advice also form a solicitor today showing the recorded call from yesterday and also there policy documents and the evidence sent im in the right.
Currently having to go through there inhouse complaints department. Will update our outcome. So after being asked by the company to edit my review. I must say that I have now had to got to the ombudsman. I also have 4 other similar cases I have been told about and are going also going through the ombudsmen after my riding group have seen the evidence presented and the way this company have handled themselves and this case they have all cancelled. For your own piece of mind use a proper insurance company. Do not touch these guys. Don’t trust reviews on here neither get first hand experience from Facebook riding groups etc.

In the past, I took out house and contents insurance and added my bikes. A cycling friend recommended Pedal Cover as an insurance for bikes where you add your house and contents. I was a little sceptical at first but did my research and even called customer service to check all was correct.
I am pleased to say that the process to take out the cover has been simple and straightforward, and better still, the cost was very competitive.
As with all insurance, I just hope I have no need to test the claims process but from what I have seen (and heard, and read) I am hopeful that, if I need to, this will be equally seamless.

We wanted to stay with PC as they had assisted us with a claim the underwriters initially rejected.
Our premium had increased a lot when it came to renewal but PC were open about this and also found some margin for compromise, so we were happy to continue with their bike focussed product.

So I received this review immediately after taking out the policy, it was hard to judge at that point, now I can give an honest report, especially as I have been left in the unfortunate situation whereby I have needed to act/use the policy.
We purchased EMTB as an upgrade from the standard MTB. We purchased a gold standard lock recommended to us by the customer service agent. Read every document regarding securing the bikes in a shed, so as not to void our insurance, I will add here I am autistic so quite stringent with rules.
Despite 3 locks a 7foot gate and a camera the scrouts seized their opportunity to abscond with bikes and other items whilst we were on holiday.
Naturally contacted police and then insurance, we have answered every question posed to us by the insurance, we have had the house upside down looking for receipts, and even taken up art to show how the bikes were locked together, now after frequent emails asking and responding the line has gone cold. No emails for 10days, they specifically tell you not to chase. To add insult to all this I have to claim separately for the other items stolen. I reported this after a week as they stated they would get someone to contact me, I still haven’t heard. And even after I lodged a claim I haven’t heard.
This whole situation is a farce, I hope someone from the company reads this and acts accordingly because a courtesy email really goes a long way, the whole situation is violating as it is, but they do not make it easy or pleasant.

As a person of "a certain age" who isn't too conversant with online purchases of any kind, it was nice to be able to have the option to phone with enquiries, rather than go online continuously. The cover was suited exactly to my requirements, but it was nice to know that anyone - from novice to seasoned cylist - could obtain the cover suited to them. Competitively priced; the exclusion clauses / caveats were not as onerous as some of the insurers from whom I sought quotes.

Good overall price, clear website and good communication. Simple cover plan, other sites wanted lots of info on what type of riding and even what heights we would be reaching. Pedalcover one plan for riding MTB in the alps simple and easy. Great to deal with.
