Asked to buy an ipad on their finance deal.They said that Creation Finance would call me within 24 hours. They called 3 days later. In that time I found what I needed for £300 cheaper.

I went to buy a gaming/office chair for myself from Currys/Pcwworld in Brentford. That section is a complete mess. All chairs on display are scattered around with no information sheet and price on them, Some boxes again here and there with no details and price. I really wanted to buy a comfortable chair today to take with me. They refused to open one of the boxes which were not on display. How can I buy a chair without trying it? I put time and effort to travel to the shop for that purpose only. I can order it online otherwise. I spoke to three different employees including one manager with no luck. I used to enjoy shopping from PCWorld and I can see the customer service is getting worse.

Bought an ex display Hoover at Currys for £169 on 20th May 2022 for the full ticket price as they had none in stock . Specifically asked Zoe if it had been previously used and was told no . Got it home and after unpacking realised there was dust in the filter and minor cosmetic damage from apparent use .
Annoyed as I got a second hand item for full price .

Absolutely excellent to deal with, bought a new gaming computer (£2800), gpu failed after first week, I got a complete new computer after a few days, setup ready to plug back in at home.
Customer service is one of the best, Kidderminster branch, Liam was very helpful and knowledgeable sorted everything for me.

Cancelled my online order on 7th May sending not one but two cancellation forms nothing done, rang and spoke with someone, got a confirmation of the phone call but nothing on the refund, messaged currys on facebook and talked with someone only to confirm I had Cancelled my order on the 7th May, for an order over £3000 I thought I would receive it quick.

terrible customer service. don't honour warranties.

Thankfully companies like these will eventually not exist anymore as they just will not last in the current climate where its so easy to shop elsewhere. I'd honestly rather pay more from any other website to not have to deal with Currys awful service ever again.

Thousands a year spent on technology (we are a big tech household) but as is often the case with a large company, they do not care at all if they alienate you and you go elsewhere.

Purchased an item for my children, ordered cancelled the next day with a "sorry the price was wrong" generic email. Other people received their orders, response from customer service was "tough read the small print".

Bought an i watch which was faulty, returned within 28 days return period, would not give a refund in the e Leeds branch said I had to do via returns centre despite website saying otherwise. In all took 4 months to get refund with much chasing. Went to the apple store got first class advice and a cast iron returns guarantee. Will never shop at pc world again to quote the store manger ‘you’ve caught me out there’ when I showed him the policy wording but even then would accept return!!

I am very happy with the great amount of support Mr ALFIE gave me and my wife during the process of choosing a HP Pavilion Laptop for my brother who is a University student.

Mr ALFIE was very supportive, friendly and helpful throughout the time we spent at the store at Unit 5, TOWER RETAIL PARK, Crayford Rd, Dartford DA1 4LD.

We are very impressed with his high level of expertise and knowledge of the products we viewed the Sony Ericsson TV, different laptops and TVs which made us eventually bought the laptop and promised to come back to buy the TV.

Mr ALFIE was one of the best staff, I have came across since this year I have been shopping at the Crayford. He was very passionate about his work and patience with explaining the details of the products we view.

I have a strong desire to continue to shop at the store for as long as possible.

Very disappointed with this shoddy company!!
Went to purchase a specific printer. Member of staff knew the model. He convinced me to buy it. Took out the cover plan. However took the box home unpacked it. Set it up (which took time). Went to sprint and found it did not do what I needed it to. Took it back and the one I wanted was not in stock. The only one was the demo model. I Was told, by a manager it would be a straight swap (being s demo model and their mistake). Took it to get the paperwork transferred to the new model) and they wanted to charge me the full price. After trying to explain fairness and the staff picking up the wrong model, they were prepared to offer me £10.00 off(that would not cover the petrol money back and forth to the store.

This is absolutely disgusting and underhanded by this store, its employers and the way they operate.

There are other stores that offer a better service at the same price

One of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
I ordered a laptop in the the colliers wood store store to be collected from the store as next day delivery.
After I collected my parcel and toke it home and found out it was missing a part which was the protective sleeps.
I went back to the store and told them about it they told me to bring it back and the will order another one next day delivery
Becouse it was closing time they told me to bring it tomorrow.
Next day we took the laptop to the store they said they can't take it back and we have to arrange sending it back by ourselves to get a replacement which it will take about 14 working days because it expensive item.
I really need it the laptop urgently for my work.
Why would someone tell me something and the next day they say totally deferent to wait they said the day before.
I have never seen anywhere like that.
When you tell me bring it in and we will order another one for you next day and next day totally deferent.

BIG TIME SCAM. They made it sound like I was getting a SAM'S membership, when I got was nothing. Now they won't give me a refund. BEWARE

I would give them a minus. In May 2020 I bought 2 good specs brand new laptops….. 1 of them developed a problem with the loose fan, which was repaired still under warranty. In the other one , after about 1,5 year of use screwes started coming off, and it seemed like there were loose screwes inside the laptop too. I checked it yesterday, unscrewed all, and inside it seems like some part was broken and replaced in the past - as some plastics were left there too! It was never given to repair or used by noone else! They are just full on incompetent people who don’t know what they doing. Just taking on anybody.

DO NOT WORK THERE! NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY NOR DISABILITY CONFIDENT! Stay away

Where do I even begin really! grab a coffee as this is diabolical. I have given Pc World every chance for it not to get to this point. I would give minus 100 if I could that's how bad PC World is. I'm 38 and I once before had a problem with PC World when I was in my 20s but I thought they surly cant still be bad but omg they are even worse that I could possibly imagine. Hoped they improved!

Anyone reading this I'm not one for complaining and I even work in retail and deal with complaints and situations so I'm fully aware that public can go a bit far but this is too much I have to write on here to warn anyone to NOT buy from pc world ever unless you want endless hassle.

Here is my story! So the build up to xmas 2021 I wanted to buy a brand new HP Omen pc worth £1500 and I went into store to place this order as I wanted it for xmas day as it was a present. I paid £10 delivery for special delivery to get it on xmas eve all ready to wrap up for xmas! while I was working on xmas eve I get a nice message from Pc World saying as requested your delivery date has changed to the 29th!! I was shocked!! called DPD and had argument with them as they said I changed the delivery date!! what idiot would pay £10 for xmas delivery to then change it after xmas when the pc was a xmas present but the low educated person on the phone couldn't understand that.

So off I went to the store to find out what was going on, to find my item was now being sent to me on the 29th and as you could imagine I was fuming as it was a xmas present, ruining my whole xmas. I asked for a refund of my £10 special delivery I never got!! I got told I should be able to get you the £10 refund Should!!! I think not!! like you will refund me that £10. I got no decent apology or anything and the lady even said this happened to her!

After this I waited until the 29th to finally get my pc to open it and see they sent me a complete wrong pc!!!

Next min the computer I did order online changed and it was updated to this pc I got sent so they advertised something online which I paid for and they must of known they didn't have it or had the details wrong so they sent me a different pc. They miss sold me and false advertised.

After this I returned the computer to the shop and again no decent apology and I got refunded the pc money but no compensation when I asked. They said I can get compensation online after saying how disgusting this was.

From there I went back and fourth with online chats and over the phone and giving them chance after chance as I will go to the ombudsman if not fixed. Pc world does not care and this went on so many times I've actually lost count, I've been hung up on and told they can give me £10 compensation!!! £10!!! that's my original special delivery money I paid for. in the end they said they will give me £50 and I just accepted even though I should have more as they were doing my head in.

But!!! this money never arrived even after getting a ref code for it and I'm still waiting after more multiple calls and being told it will arrive in a few days and then a few weeks go by and still nothing!! Then I got hung up on again and I have been so patient and not raised my voice at them once. not my style to do that. so its now Feb the second and I went into the store and asked to speak to the store manager to fix or just give me £50.

No can do they said I have to wait a further week!! to get a reply to an email he has now sent! I doubt I will hear anything but in the mean time I'm going to post this every where on all social media and send this higher and higher until I now have a decent compensation. I'm going to the ombudsman as well with all my photos and evidence as I was miss sold unless pc world wants to give me a better compensation for the issue still going on.

Are PC World staff wanting to put themselves on Universal credit or what?
I went into the Keighley store where three members of staff were stood around talking. I wanted to purchase a new 43 inch smart TV. Nobody approached, nobody showed the slightest interest. When I went to ask them if they could help, they all tried to pass the task onto each other.
I'm sure their conversations must have been so riveting. But can they afford to have a customer who was prepared to spend £500 plus walk out in frustration, because that is what happened.

I'll make a point of not buying from PC world. I am clearly a inconvenience.

completely useless!
i had a working computer with 10-15 years of information regarding my job as a project manager. last week i thought its a bit slow i'll buy a better one, pc world told me which one would be suitable, and they could transfer everything over nothing would change! left it with them now its all gone! nothing on the new computer and now my old one does not work because they somehow knackered it and wiped it totally clean. been back 4 times now Nothing not even a sorry. i'm of an age where i relied on there expertise, now i'm in a mess..

Good customer service and no problems so far, the only thing is that the prices could be better.
