Mit deiner Anmeldung auf pazz.com öffnet sich ein Raum für kreative Zusammenarbeit, echte Verbindungen und Projekte, die nicht länger nur Gedanken bleiben. Unsere Vision? Wir glauben an das Potenzial von Newcomern. Deshalb unterstützen wir aufstrebende Kreative aus Film, Musik, Theater und Fotografie dabei, ihre Projekte Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen. Pazz vereint Projekt und Stellensuche an einem Ort. Klar strukturiert und konsequent auf die Bedürfnisse kreativer Arbeit ausgerichtet. So wird es einfacher, die passenden Menschen für ein Projekt zu finden, sich auszuprobieren und gemeinsam zu wachsen. Weil starke Ideen oft nicht am Talent scheitern, sondern an fehlenden finanziellen Mitteln, gibt es den Pazz Booster. Über dieses Förderprogramm haben wir bisher mehr als 90 kreative Projekte finanziell unterstützt. Zahlreiche dieser Arbeiten stammen aus dem unabhängigen Filmbereich und haben nationale wie internationale Anerkennung erhalten. Einige wurden auf renommierten Festivals gezeigt, ausgezeichnet oder innerhalb der Indie Filmszene als besonders bemerkenswert wahrgenommen. Der Pazz Booster zeigt, was möglich ist, wenn Vertrauen, Community und gezielte Förderung zusammenkommen. Wie alles begann? Pazz wurde 2019 von Geschäftsführer Oliver Schiessl gegründet. Aus eigener Erfahrung als Kreativer wusste er, wie schwierig es ist, Sichtbarkeit, Mitstreiter und Unterstützung zu finden. Schnell wurde deutlich, dass in Deutschland eine Plattform fehlte, die Newcomer und Studierende gezielt fördert und ernst nimmt. Aus diesem persönlichen Antrieb heraus entstand Pazz. Was Pazz ausmacht? Pazz ist eine kostenlose kollaborative Online Plattform, die Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler, Musikerinnen und Musiker, Fotografinnen und Fotografen, Regisseurinnen und Regisseure sowie viele weitere Kreative miteinander vernetzt. Wir schaffen Strukturen, wo zuvor Unsicherheit war. Wir verbinden Menschen, wo zuvor Einzelkämpfer standen. Wir glauben daran, dass gute Ideen die richtigen Menschen brauchen, um Wirklichkeit zu werden. Pazz steht für Gemeinschaft, Vertrauen und nachhaltiges kreatives Wachstum.

I discovered a very positive experience for independent filmmakersPAZZ quite naturally…

I discovered PAZZ quite naturally through Instagram, which shows that the platform is doing a great job in terms of communication and marketing.

The Creativity League format is genuinely stimulating: creating a complete story within 60 seconds is a creative challenge while still being sustainable from both a production and budget perspective. With the right idea, it allows filmmakers to participate without the typical barriers often associated with larger productions.

During the contest, I felt that my work was carefully considered and, most importantly, I received very responsive and helpful support. This also led to a constructive dialogue about possible improvements to both the contest and the platform itself, something that is far from common.

PAZZ is probably still a young platform to be fully evaluated, but the direction it is taking is very promising. As the community grows, it could become an important resource for independent cinema and a practical space where artists and professionals can connect and build creative collaborations more easily.

In recent years, changes to platforms like Vimeo have left a noticeable gap in the independent and artistic filmmaking landscape. Projects like PAZZ have the potential to fill that space and become a new reference point for creators looking to share and develop their work.

One small aspect that could be improved concerns the visual preview generated when projects are shared or embedded (for example when inviting people to vote during the contest). At the moment, the graphic feels slightly too flashy and perhaps less aligned with the aesthetics typically associated with cinema or artistic filmmaking. A more sober and refined visual approach could further encourage new users to join and register on the platform.

Overall, my experience with the Creativity League has been very positive, and I’m looking forward to seeing how PAZZ continues to grow in the future.
