My partner ordered a wardrobe from Pattens Furniture, the lady who served us was very friendly and helpful and had the wardrobe was delivered within 7 days ! We wish we had known about this little gem of a business sooner !

Arrived 10 days after order, straight forward to put together and really nice quality exactly what I was looking for as rare to find a wooden corner sofa, and £500 cheaper than on other sites!

Hard to write a review when you're asked to leave a review before it even arrives and very lackluster communications!

Disappointed with the delayed delivery and that the item was listed as in stock while stock issues are why its said to be delayed.

Polite customer service the times we've spoken and it does seem like the issue is unlikely to be ongoing. However, particularly disappointing I wasn't informed of the delay when I first reached out after no communication about delivery 3 days in. Instead, they told me the stock would arrive the next day and it may well be delivered the following day, but they have to confirm when the stock arrived and was checked. It was then disappointing and a bit of a shock to receive an email asking me to confirm the delivery slot they offered of a full week later! With no apology or explanation for missing the quoted maximum delivery timeframe. The explanation given when I questioned mentioned a delayed stock delivery and that they were prioritising delivering orders placed while the item was in stock that were delayed.. however my order was also placed while the item was listed as in stock so it was a frustrating answer yet again and felt like they were trying to fudge the situation again and making excuses or not fully honest or they messed it up - hard to tell what the intent was there...
Massively more so as to have such a backlog to create a full week delay front that point they absolutely will have known when they spoke to me, so to have my hopes raised and that there was a good chance it would be delivered the day after and should be before the weekend and then be told it would be delayed so much and I was bottom of the list was more of a blow. Either their internal communication isn't up to scratch or they have some bizzare understanding of how best to manage expectations and not meeting their own SLA. Not just trying to sneak the SLA failure through without apology or note, but indicating I could expect it within days and then going back on their word so far.
Although the delay seems to perhaps be out of their control to an extent, the way the delay has been handled and the communication is a little lackluster.

Crossing my fingers that when it finally is delivered late that there is better communication and no issues with the order as I doubt any issues would be rectified swiftly from what I've seen so far.

Its also difficult to track your order. The first email I received gave a link that was supposed to show the status of your order but instead just links to a static invoice page. A little disconcerting not to get any indication when it will be delivered by halfway through the delivery window (not until I called to get one), given its a large item and so I need to arrange someone to be in to accept the item, so not knowing if there will be any warning for it showing up.

I do understand its not always their fault when stock issues occur, especially in the context of the last 2 years, but the very underwhelming communication really sharpens the blow and frustration.

That being said I'm really looking forward to receiving the items as they look great and good value (other than the inconvenience, the social event that I've had to cancel and the fact my purchase decision was party based on the quoted delivery timescales so in hindsight a mistake). The delay is disappointing but customers aren't unsympathetic if given the chance and you're transparent with them. Expectations setting is key to satisfaction (e.g. satisfaction = outcome - expectation) and it really wouldnt take much to improve the customer experience drastically. Just a little bit more communication, both as a standard and in light of the delay and SLA failure would make a huge difference. Even including a note upon ordering to say, we'll be in touch to confirm a delivery date, would really help start off with a more positive, anxiety free experience and warning about disappointments ASAP! (Like other retailers do)

Fantastic company, I highly recommend it. Communication with the company is very good, the quality of the cabinet [in my case for self-assembly] at the highest level. Thank you very much to the driver and his assistant for bringing the wardrobe elements to my 2nd floor, such kindness does not happen very often.
