I’ve had a consistently poor experience with this BMW garage due to lack of communication and follow-through.

My initial enquiry via WhatsApp on 13 January went unanswered until 16 January, and only after I followed up. Even then, it took until 26 January to receive a proper response to my issue.

I escalated the situation by emailing the General Manager. Although I was assisted by another team member while they were on leave, there was no follow-up from the manager afterwards, which was disappointing.

More recently, I contacted them again on 17 March and have still not received any reply.

What stands out is the complete absence of basic customer communication processes. There isn’t even an automated response on WhatsApp to acknowledge messages or manage expectations, something that is standard practice across most service-based businesses.

Overall, the experience has been frustrating and time-consuming. I would not recommend this garage if you’re looking for reliable or responsive service

As a loyal BMW customer I feel it is my duty to warn others from using this garage.
I bought my BMW 2 series (2018 reg) from this garage, only for the brakes to fail late last year (while driving). I was quoted £2200 for a replacement brake cylinder/booster. Unfortunately, I feel this was an incomplete job or misdiagnosis as in January I had complete loss of brake function once again (while driving!), with exactly the same symptoms as before. 
I booked in to the garage and was told that all that was needed was a brake fluid bleed and that they had fixed this, however on the -same day- the brakes once again failed (while driving out of the garage!)
I have been quoted £1670 for change of brake calipers and and full brake fluid replacement, I'm shocked that they haven't offered any goodwill for the misdiagnosis/incomplete work. While responsive, the management team have been unhelpful to me and threaten to remove the car from their garage unless I pay up.

I have asked other mechanics what the cost for this work should have been, and am informed that it could have been far cheaper than what I was charged (for what now seems like incomplete/unnecessary work).

As it stands I feel I have no choice to pay for the work, with no refund or goodwill from BMW.  I only count myself lucky that I and others were not seriously injured by brake failure - if this had occurred while at speed the consequences would have been extremely serious.

The service manager is following up with me, but I feel like I have no choice since I’m not a technician. If I don’t pay, my car won’t be fixed. However, I took the list of items from your quote to another reputable garage, and their total was less than half of yours.

Organised to test drive a car. We were hassled with phone calls leading up to date, we had to ask them to stop. We arrived at appointed time for the drive, and kept waiting for 15 minutes. It was not the person who had arranged the test drive and once we got talking it was very clear that they either didn't know anything about the car we had arranged to see or, it had been sold. After 10 minutes, we ascertained the latter ... instead of coming out honestly and saying this, they tried to direct us to other cars.
So, we had a 90 minute round trip for nothing, why couldn't they have phoned us to cancel?

My husband purchased a BMW Approved Used BMW M4 Competition from BMW North Oxford and the experience was very disappointing.

He travelled over three hours, only to find multiple pre-existing faults on collection, including non-functioning parking sensors on 40k plus & interior and exterior damage. It is extremely concerning that a car in this condition was sold under the BMW Approved Used programme.

D.F was dismissive when these issues were raised. A.L handled the sale, he was polite but communication was poor — email responses were very slow, only partially answered questions, and several queries were never responded to at all.

Given the condition of a £40,000+ vehicle and how this was handled, I cannot recommend BMW North Oxford unless all issues are fully resolved to BMW standards.

Was going to buy a new X320i with north Oxford BMW. They located a car and did a great deal with over £8500 discount. Only to find out the car they offered had been sold. I managed to find another car with virtually the same spec apart from a comfort pack. When they produced the figures on this they could only offer just over £8150 discount. The reason being it didn’t have a comfort pack. In all my years in the motor trade discounts are only ever applied to the basic price of the car and not on extras unless it’s changed since I left BMW. So I was very very disappointed with the explanation and decided not to proceed with the purchase after all as there was no trust with them any more.

Ended up selling the car after 1 month. Asked for North Oxford if they would buy it back and they massively low balled me an offer. In the end sold to another BMW dealer for £4k more than North oxford offered. Overall bitter taste from this dealer.
Bit of a mixed experience for me. Searched for a new 2 series coupe and North Oxford had right model at the right price. Salesman (Ollie) was great and no issues. Easy to sort and went to collect. The actual collection experience though was worst i have ever received - no "reveal", car in showroom and then simply driven to front door for me to drive off in. For a £50k purchase it was so underwhelming and felt like - "we have the sale now simply get rid of the customer". Previous purchases, it's the little things like a reveal or small gift or card on the dash saying enjoy the drive etc. No follow up to provide feedback although Ollie did send a personal email to check everything was working - so clearly he cares. But as a dealership experience, i just felt like they didn't really care or value my custom. I bought a used SEAT Leon for £10k some years ago from a small SEAT dealership and when i collected the car they gave me a small bunch of flowers and card. It was a simple gesture that made me feel valued - probably cost them a fiver but have recommended that dealership for years now. Hence 4 stars - good car, good price, good salesman but handover just felt all a bit disinterested and wanted to get rid of me soonest.

The experience was amazing and wonderful. The staff were kind ,friendly and eager to help. They are simply amazing and have the team in the world. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thank you for a job well done. I am Team North Oxford BMW for life.

Looked after by Alex Kelly. A friend referred me as he had been with this dealership many years and I was in the market for a BMW X1. I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex and although he could not find the right car for me he was a mine of information and took time to advise me on the variants within the X1 range. He listened to my requirements and then gave me useful advice on finding the right car for me within the range. I found him to be a top bloke courteous polite and extremely helpful.
