My case with OLS took six incredibly stressful years to resolve.

I took 18 months out of the process due to intense stress and suicidal ideations due to a mental health crisis.

OLS certainly made a big contribution towards that situation.

From start to finish I never felt any of the team had a moment for me, listened to me or cared about my situation.

I was just a number on a fast moving money making machine with no time for the all important detail.

Having waited patiently for a consent order it was clear that I was getting next to nothing from a 10 year marriage.

Previously co-habiting for 13 years prior to the marriage and being the good little house husband, a disabled one at that.

This enabled my ex-wife to further her career prospects by travelling to do courses to give her the excellent salary she now earns and secure her future financially.

The pension pot was circa £345k, my share, approximately £46k, and the best bit to put the icing on the cake?

According to the solicitors, this is a fair settlement.

I have no access to this money whatsoever, even at 55 years of age, the legal limit to withdraw, this is a civil service pension meaning I cannot touch a penny until I am 67.

Only then will i get a lumps sum of £5k, the rest is a monthly payment of under £150, which in 12 years will count for next to nothing, NONE of this was explained to me as a neurodiverse person.

So I complained to OLS, shock horror my complaint was NOT upheld by an independent reviewer that they had appointed.

OLS have let me down at a level that has utterly destroyed my life and humble future plans.

I have no financial future and according to the independent reviewer, it was my responsibility to look into this and none of the responsibility lies with the solicitor to explain the detail to me.

Had I known I would have refused to accept it and sought monthly maintenance payments so I could live with less financial worry.

I'm passed feeling very angry now, just numb to the world and people in suits that have destroyed my future, whats left of it.

Apparently we live in a fair and reasonable society....

Scammers.
Convinced me to pay them 700£ at first to start the case of a divorce overseas. Later they asked for another 300£ saying that they need extra funds to trace my ex. After months of scarcely any emails or phone calls where I was only dealing with some solicitor assistant Jack Furnell, he told me that my ex is in some random country when I knew for a fact that he was not there. No evidence, no receipts, just words. What's worse is that these people kept asking for more money and trying to string me along.
Avoid these scammers, useless.

Seeking a financial consent order to conclude my divorce I checked online and ended up using OLS.

I was told it was a quick process and paid over £500 upfront.

Months later, I seem to have received more "out-of-office" replies and "sorry, that person is away right now but back in the office on XXXXXX" updates than any real progress.

They are lovely people when you speak to them but they are terrible at being proactive in their communications and I'm shocked at how slow they are to get anything done.

I'm still waiting now so hopefully things change significantly and I have a valid excuse to remove this review, but right now, after multiple emails and still no progress (considering my forms were all completed and submitted to them weeks ago) I can only strongly recommend that no-one makes the same mistake I have.

Do not use them.
