Helpful polite drivers who when travelling alone make you feel safe

Recently got a cab back to a hotel in Nottingham with my partner your driver wanted to know if we’d had a lovely evening etc when pulling up at the hotel he said although you have your husband with you I’ll wait to see you go in the hotel to make sure you got in ok (as they lock the doors with keycard entrance after 11pm) he added even if it was a woman on her own he’d do the same thing

Awful service untrustworthy drivers (thieves) swapped a £20 note for a £10 note upon paying do not trust their drivers is they do this what else are they getting up to

Booked and paid for a 16 seater to transport my bridesmaids and guests to my wedding and they just didn't turn up. Had no choice but to panic book a load of ubers to ensure we wasn't late. They refunded quickly but they didn't even apologise.

Been waiting for my taxi for 45 minutes, which I was told it would be with me in 10 to 15. Rang up to be told that they haven’t got a taxi there still trying to get me one.

Booked a taxi for 1.50 from Long Eaton train station that never turned up. Contacted the office several times to be told its on its way, then would be there in less than 5 minutes and 15 minutes later nothing. After 25 minutes we cancelled and called another company who came in less than 5 minutes

Absolutely shocking service!! Booked 2 taxis days in advance to pick up from Southwell races at the end of a lovely day! Then ruined when the taxis do not turn up and when ringing we are lied to saying they are in car park. So we wait, no taxis! So we ring again, then told to get off the phone as the taxi driver was trying to ring us! No taxis, so we ring from a different phone and told the taxis would be 30 mins away!! So that would make it 1 hour late!! When asked why we were told they were in the car park on the last call, was told that that hasn’t happened! So was called a liar!!
We have used Nottingham cars a lot, especially for airport runs to East Midlands airport and Birmingham.
We will NEVER be using this appalling company! And will also spread the word!!

Sent a car that was to small explained 5 people medium case and 2 small cases was not big enough to fit luggage in had to do 2 journeys cost 20 pounds made train 9 minutes to spare it looked like a suv crossover

Booked a taxi for a certain time and it didn't show up. I was told by the operator that it was on its way and only two minutes away, then I get a call from the driver saying he's outside and guess what he's not there, insted he's outside a completely different building and blaming me for not being there. Anyway to cut a long story short after over an hour still no taxi yet still getting calls from tha taxi saying he is outside now, ended up he couldn't tell the difference between an accommodation centre and a solicitors office. So I thought give it another go tonight and same again no taxi turns up. So called the operator to cancel the taxi and to let him know he has just lost a regular customer, very dissapointed with the level of service and I always thought that booking in advance gave you a better chance of the taxi arriving on time, man did they prove me wrong on that one not once but twice on the trot. If this is the way they treat regular customers I'd hate to think how they treat new customers

I have been regularly using this company for a while now and can say I have never had anything but nice things to say . I'm glad I swapped from DG
The drivers are friendly and helpful as is the operator service when needed

Started to use this company when my regular, local company that I'd used for many years, failed to deliver and can't fault them. I recommended them to guests in my pre-wedding email, recently booked for a long distance requirement (easy and simple on their site) and they're now my go-to for regular taxi requirements.

Ordered a taxi 48 hours in advance for 1am New Year’s Day, I reconfirmed it before heading out. 1am came and went, I called at 1:20am, again at 1:45, again at 2am where the operator hung up on me. I decided to try another companies app and with in 5 minutes they picked us up. At 2:30 a call was logged from NC driver on my phone. I was home and nicely tucked up in bed by then. Use this company at your own peril, I will never use them again. Shame I can’t give zero star.

I dealt mainly with Javeed. Excellent communication. Had a return journey to Nottingham. Both drivers lovely.
Will definitely use again.

Staff on the phone rude and unhelpful.
Website is misleading on bookings.
Avoid and use Uber instead who have live tracking.

Just rang for a taxi. The guy on the phone told me there was a car less than 3 minutes away. Waited 17 mins in the rain when i could have waited inside where it was dry and safe. I rang back to query where the car was and the professional man on the phone hing up on me. Not very reassuring in this day and age as a woman on her own. Wont use again id rathervwalk than have some jumped up little jobs worth talk down to me or hang up.. maybe a course in customer relations is in order

accidentally booked a two taxis but nottinghamcars actually turned up in comparison to dg cars (poor behaviour), and the driver Safeer was an absolute gem, had a great chat at 4 in the morning after a calamity of getting our coats from the club. super understanding driver and would recommend, especially if Safeer scoots you round the bends - GIVE HIM MY LOVE <3 !!!

I’ve used Nottingham cars since I arrived in Nottingham for university and I would highly recommend them. Every business has ups and downs but Nottingham cars have been consistent and the staff are very accommodating. They’re particularly good for long distance journeys like getting to the airport, they offer excellent fixed prices and they’re my favourite firm in Nottingham, hence the support.

Would give 0 stars if i could. Taxi lies about how far they are away so don't lose your custom. Pre booked a taxi a hour early to take my children to school & didn't show up, so I rang up and the operator was so down right rude!! Jo customer service at all with sarcastic responses. Been using you alot lately but I won't be again!!!

Recently I was delighted to provide an excellent review for Nottingham Car's (then) great service.
How disappointing therefore that today's experience was extremely poor. My outward journey was to the West entrance of the Queen's Medical Centre. The driver did not know the location of that entrance, asking me "Are you sure?" when I guided him. Surely it's not too much to expect taxi drivers to be acquainted with the area!
The return journey was even worse - the taxi failed to turn up and, despite a reminder, my wife and I were left standing outside the West block entrance for ages. In the end, we walked back home. According to Nottingham Cars, our taxi had "been and gone' whilst we were waiting. If, indeed, that was the case then it must have gone to the wrong place.
Will I use Nottingham Cars again? Well, maybe, although I have received no apology whatsoever for this disgraceful and irresponsible circumstance. Although today's experience was a disaster, the fact remains that I have had excellent service from them in the past. In fairness, I am minded to give the firm one more chance
