Good picture quality, not so good installation

The screen arrived well packaged, and assembling was easy all the way to the edge pieces. However, the tolerances of the edge pieces are off. This, combined with the fact that the short‑side and long‑side pieces are attached to each other, makes it difficult to assemble the frame. After I put the frame together, there was a half‑centimetre gap left between the pieces on the long side of the top edge.

Why are the side pieces attached to each other when they aren’t structural and the corners are covered anyway with corner pieces?

The second problem was the wall installation. The instructions didn’t provide guidance that matched the size of the screen regarding where the wall pendants should be mounted, so you have to be prepared to drill more holes in the wall than you would need if clear instructions were included. When you finally snap the screen into place according to the manual, the wall pendants press against the screen from the opposite side. In other words, the screen must be pulled away from the wall as far as possible, otherwise continuous pressure will be applied to it.

Company has a bad reputation at Visa…

When I attempted to pay for a purchase at this company, my card was blocked due to automated fraud detection. My bank (Rabobank) informed me that this company has a bad reputation at Visa and Mastercard due to too many recalled transactions and sharing of creditcard data with other parties. For this reason, the bank could not just unblock my card, it remains invalidated permanently. So I had to get a new card, that's pretty invasive as I had to update many automatic payments with new card information.

My advice: do not use this site or your bank may block the transaction AND your creditcard.

I've recently bought the Shore Black Motorized cabinet. It's well built and looks very nice! It took some time, but it wasn't hard to assemble. The support was amazing! They helped to select the cabinet and they replied all e-mails very quickly!

L’offre price match est un mensonge

Le site communique sur un offre black friday avec un système de price match permettant de s’assurer que si on trouve le produit moins cher on aura droit au remboursement de la différence. Cette offre contient également des cadeaux. J’ai trouvé une meilleure offre et on me répond que le price match n’est pas disponible car il y a des cadeaux. J’ai un screenshot clair avec les cadeaux et le price match dans le même encart. C’est juste de la communication mensongère. Je suis furieux.
De plus les produits n’ont pas du tout expédié dans les temps indiqués sur le site (plusieurs jours de retard).
Sinon le produit est arrivé bien que (très) lentement, les transporteurs ne se pressant pas.

EDIT: Le produit pour lequel j’ai trouvé un meilleur prix est bien identique en tout point à celui que j’ai commandé (même modèle, même couleur etc). En tout point. La réponse du vendeur est malhonnête car le site ne mentionne nulle part que l’offre concurrente doit également comporter les mêmes cadeaux présentés comme des cadeaux Black Friday et indépendants du produit. La communication à ce sujet et tout sauf transparente : en effet, on avait un joli encadré avec le produit, les cadeaux mentionnés et le slogan Price-Match. Étant donné la spécificité des cadeaux, l'offre price match chez un concurrent ne pouvait juste jamais s’appliquer, ce que ne peut pas ignorer le vendeur. Je considère que c’est de la mauvaise foi. En effet, pour ne pas avoir à appliquer leur politique, ils ont juste à virer les cadeaux ou à ne pas baisser leurs propres prix pendant 2 mois. C’est pas dur à faire et un peu trop à leur avantage pour une politique présentée comme une façon de rassurer l’acheteur qu’il ne rate pas une super offre à venir et qu’on imagine immédiatement s’appliquer à la concurrence (ce qui n’est en réalité en gros jamais le cas).

Comme je l’ai expliqué au vendeur, j’ai aussi demandé cette offre pour racheter le produit (il n’avait pas encore été expédié donc je pouvais tout à fait annuler ma commande pour la repasser dans ce cas sans aucun dommage pour le vendeur). Mais, bizarrement, le vendeur a là aussi refusé de s’aligner alors que l’offre trouvait à s’appliquer en tous points.

Finalement, le vendeur m’a aussi proposé des lunettes 3D pour s’excuser. J’ai refusé cette offre mais je monte ma note de 1 étoile à 2 étoiles pour prendre en compte ce geste ainsi que le fait que Grégory, qui est leur prestataire qui s’occupe de la calibration des projecteurs en France, a fait un travail d’un professionnalisme total. Ces 2 points méritent une étoile supplémentaire.

Despite this, a request was made to keep all of our high-value gifts while asking us to match the price of a completely different product, which is simply not comparable. We also made it clear that if the customer preferred the projector without the gifts, we are always happy to match the price offered by other officially authorized retailers before making a purchase.

La livraison a été effectuée sans encombre et dans les délais.
Néanmoins, j'ai constaté un bug sur l'appareil avec l'installation de Google. Le service client est vraiment très réactif, rien à dire sur ce point. Mais je n'ai pas vraiment obtenu de réponse satisfaisante en dehors de l'obligation de faire un reset usine. Ce qui va me faire perdre le calibrage effectué avant la livraison !
J'hésite encore à le retourner

Excellent customer service and good product.

I purchased the 120-inch motorized tension screen from Nothing. The first unit I received unfortunately had an issue: during the very first opening and closing, the screen produced unusual metallic noises, and soon after, the fabric tore completely. It was impossible to close the screen afterwards, even though the chassis itself was intact. This was obviously disappointing for such a high-end product.

However, what impressed me most was the way Nothing’s support team handled the situation. From the very beginning, they were responsive, professional, and transparent. After I explained the issue in detail, they quickly arranged to send me a replacement unit without unnecessary delays. This level of customer service gave me confidence in the brand.

When I received the replacement screen, the experience was completely different. The packaging was in perfect condition, and this time the opening and closing were perfectly smooth, without any suspicious noise. I opened and closed the screen several times (with pauses in between to preserve the motors), and everything worked flawlessly. I could immediately see the high quality of the product, both in terms of design and image performance.

As constructive feedback, I believe the mounting system could be improved. The chassis is very heavy, and in my opinion the screen should come with four stronger brackets instead of only two. To make my installation more stable, I reused the two brackets from the defective screen to have four in total. Even with this, there is still a slight tilt due to the weight, though I was able to adapt the position of my UST projector to compensate. Despite this detail, once installed, the viewing experience is excellent, and the screen delivers exactly what I expected from a premium tensioned model.

In conclusion, I am extremely satisfied — not only with the performance of the replacement screen, but also with the seriousness and professionalism of Nothing’s after-sales service. They turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a positive experience, and I can now fully enjoy my screen with complete peace of mind. I highly recommend both the product and the company.
