After meeting someone at a family party who was overwhelmingly positive about her hip replacement and rehabilitation at Nord Orthopaedics, I began my own research. Consulting Trustpilot, Nord's Facebook group, and website consistently revealed reassuring feedback, which gave me the confidence to book my surgery for November 2025.

As a first-time surgery patient, I was deeply impressed by the flawless efficiency and care at every stage. My customer service representative answered all my questions promptly. Upon arriving in Lithuania, I was seamlessly looked after from airport arrival to departure.

The clinic itself is immaculate. The nurses were both attentive and kind, and my surgeon instilled complete confidence. The quality of the post-operative rehabilitation program, which was a major reason I chose Nord, lived up to every expectation.

I cannot recommend Nord Orthopaedics highly enough. For anyone considering orthopaedic surgery abroad, this is the benchmark for quality and patient care.

From start to finish the clinic was so professional and well run , the place is lovely and clean .the pick up and collection service is on time every time , the hotels they recommended are really good and modern .Kaunas is a beautiful place to stay and I would not hesitate to go back there in future if the need arises. I went to Nordorthopeadics Clinic for ACL and Meniscus surgery. The price was far cheaper than the same treatment here in Ireland. I was apprehensive at first but the reviews of the place were very promising. From being picked up at the airport, picked up by taxi to my hotel and to and from the clinic, to the surgery and rehab itself, the whole process was effortless and Nord really took the stress out of the whole process. Currently 5 weeks post surgery and recovering well, I could not recommend Nord enough.

Just returned a week ago from the clinic following 2nd THR. The experience although different was amazing!!! What a truly kind , caring and professional team. I am a retired nurse of 30+ years of experience and I am amazed at the efficiency of the whole organisation. This is so reassuring when we are used to the sadly at times haphazard systems of the NHS. I had an unexpected problem following the anaesthetic and the nurses dealt with it promptly and with kindness. Ruta my customer services coordinator as before was fabulous and the last but not least mention has to Laimonas and his fabulous team who remind you that you are not ill but have had surgery and encourage you to return quickly to full mobility. I walked in physio on day 3 post op with no crutches !!! I didn’t need any crutches to travel home a week after surgery. If you can afford the very reasonable fees BOOK YOUR FLIGHT you won’t regret it

My visit to Nord has gone really well. Everyone was so friendly and professional, with the whole process running like clockwork. The ward was clean and comfortable and even the food was good.
I will be returning in 2026 for the 2nd toe.

Service from booking to the surgery and the aftercare was flawless. Would definitely book again hopefully don't have to.

My husband had a total hip replacement in Nord 2 weeks ago today. The whole experience has been extremely positive. From the initial contact with Agne everything worked like clockwork. We were given a choice of dates for the operation, which we could choose to suit our needs. Agne arranged the accommodation at a discounted rate for us in the Kaunas hotel, and we were picked up at the airport by the Nord driver. The preoperative experience was quick and stress-free. The postoperative experience was wonderful. We chose physiotherapy with Professor Laimonas, which was individualised to your needs. Again, the Nord drivers picked us up every day to go to physio. There is nothing we can criticise about the whole experience and would happily recommend Nord as a centre of excellence.

The Nord Clinic was a fantastic experience and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone thinking of travelling outside the UK's NHS or private system for surgery.

So easy to liaise with and they provided me with a range of options from procedure to accommodation.

Short waiting list. I only waited 17 days from bookings to having my surgery.
Great surgery, nice accommodation, very keen and helpful staff. I choose to not have help from the physio because I am a physio myself but I also think the physio is a bit overpriced.
The only negative thing was the breakfast. There were 6 alternatives: 3 vegetarian and 3 vegan. I’m a carnivore myself so I didn’t have any breakfast. It would have been nice to have eggs and bacon as an alternative for breakfast. Lunch and dinner was very good.

I went to Nord for my second hip replacement 4 weeks ago. The whole process was so excellent the first time round (2 years ago) that this time I didn’t even see my gp before deciding to go back to Kaunas. Everything works seamlessly from first e-mail contact onwards. Neringa was my contact person both times, and also Agne for a couple of weeks while Neringa was on holiday. Neringa offered a choice of surgery dates and booked the Kaunas Hotel for us, I just had to organise our - my partner was with me both times - flights. Thank you both for your very quick replies to all my queries! The logistic team is wonderful; picking you up from the airport, daily trips to and from the physio (in my case 10 sessions) and finally back to the airport. The nurses at the clinic, the anaesthetist (Paulina?) who wanted to know our first names and checked what the names mean 😊, the surgeon Sarunas Tarasevicius, and the physio Laimonas Siupsinkas are all fantastic at their jobs and speak fluent English. The clinic is spotlessly clean and the food is great. You get a menu on arrival and order your meals for the two night stay. The physio sessions with Laimonas are excellent (45 min of exercises and 15 min icing) and he checks everybody’s wound and changes the dressing a week after surgery. All the other people (most from UK and some from Canada and US) were great company - usually 4-5 of us doing our rehab together. Thank you Nord - I recommend you every time when anyone mentions hip or knee problems!

I think everyone who goes to Nord says the same, great service in advance with bookings and support, fantastic service once there and obviously fantastic clinical work too. Cannot fault them at all, all clear and everything organised and taken care of. Spoke to many people while there (great camaraderie with other patients supporting others at different stages) and many had used private or nhs for previous procedures and neither match or got close to Nord. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Suggest anyone thinking of using them and needing reassurance or just any questions go to the Facebook support page. Only patients on there and great advice etc given.

I can't recommend the Nordorthopaedics Clinic highly enough. The whole organisation works so efficiently. The agents take you through the booking process, providing all the information you need to help make your decision and ensure you know what to expect right down to what to take into the hospital with you, and will answer any questions you have. The hospital staff are all caring and attentive and the surgeon so reassuring. The physio staff work you hard, but give you the confidence to ensure you make the most of your rehab while you are there and when you get home. The logistics team who transport you to and from your appointments and rehab sessions are very patient and caring. Three weeks after hip surgery I was walking without sticks and am already enjoying activities I hadn't been able to do for the last two years.

I had arthroscopy surgery in the summer at Nord to address significant arthritis in my right knee, and although the consultant had advised beforehand that it may well not work, I was not then quite ready to have a full knee replacement. After a couple of months, however, I was struggling even more with steps and slopes and realised that a TKR was needed.

Having submitted a further x-ray (Nord had previously seen an MRI), I had the operation booked for early October. The care and professionalism shown at this outstanding clinic is second to none. Special thanks to the amazing logistics team who organise transport throughout your stay, the kind nursing staff whilst in the clinic, and to Laimonas for the invaluable physio days post surgery. Also to Neringa for all her advice and support in the weeks before surgery

I had two femoral osteotomies at Nordorthopaedics and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the team was incredibly professional, friendly, and supportive. They picked me up at the airport, helped arrange my hotel, and provided transport to and from every appointment in Kaunas. The surgeries were expertly performed, and I’m thrilled with the results. I highly recommend Nordorthopaedics to anyone considering treatment there.

ive recently had a hip replacement and found the whole experience very straight forward, they did everything other than book flights and accommodation.
I must say how super helpful their liazone officer Agne' was, so helpful and answered every question i had with slight humour and intelligence which made the trip such an easyexperience to book ! god willing i have no other Orthopaedic procedures to undergo ! but would not hesatate in using Nordopaedics again .
PS the operating theater was very modern and of course spotless !!!

Well, I am home, and very pleased with my left hip replacement that I had done at thr wonderful Nordorthopaedics Clinic, no pain as such just some discomfort at the surgical site. Im a bit stiff and sore due to travelling and a late evening flight home.
Making a decision to go abroad for surgery was not the easiest thing i have done but with hours of research Nords kept conimg out on top from cost to care, and
my experience with Nords has been exemplary. From my first contact with the wonderful Agne Celkaite at customer service, who has gone beyond all expectations to offer an excellent service, even getting a copy of my usb to me via a Nord logistics driver as the original one had corrupted, the usb contained my before and after x-rays. All the Nords logistics staff are so helpful and polite, nothing is to much trouble and always on time, from pickup and drop of at airport to every clinic and physio appointment. The staff at the clinic are caring and I got to meet and speak with my surgeon the wonderful and accomplished Professor Sarunas Tarasevivius, before and after my surgery, he talked me through the process and put me at ease. The anesthetist also came to visit to explain what would happen with spinal block and sedation. This makes a vast difference to patients mindset going into surgery. I was up and walking as soon as the feeling was back in my
legs and the progress from that point has been amazing, the pain I was in before surgery was gone and in its place was some little discomfort at the surgical site. The pain control at the clinic was wonderful but five days in I was just taking paracetamol. Even after all the research my recovery so far has been beyond my expectations.
We arrived a few days before my surgery to have a look around, and stayed at the Kaunas Hotel which
is in a prime position on the boulevard and was organised by Agne. Would visit Kaunas again? Indeed I would as it has a wonderful laid back vibe. I decided I would do my rehab at UPA, which as a rehab facility is
excellent with care second to
none. I enjoyed my time there even physio.
Overall my experience was positive and we enjoyed Lithuania. If I had to have another joint replacement Nords would be the top of my list. Anyone who is considering going to Nords, do it, you will not regret it, and you will be in excellent hands from first contact to being dropped of at the airport for your return home.

Repair of right shoulder. Excellent service from start to finish. I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them.

Firstly everything you will read from other reviews about the efficiency; professionalism about Nord is to be believed. After I emailed my x ray's, and approx date of surgery I was looking at, I was emailed with two options of surgery dates and what choices I might have for where I wanted to stay. All I had to do to secure all of this was book my air flights , send flight details and all transport/bookings etc was taken care of. It really was that easy, and everything was arranged. Payment for all of this was only made when I stayed at the actual hotel, and for Nord the day before the OP. The price, or options Nord will give you is what you pay, there is no hidden extras or charges.
I stayed 2 nights at the clinic post surgery, care was fantastic from obviously the surgeon, the skilled anaesthetist and very caring nurses. I cannot fault my experience and hip replacement surgery that had done.
