Found this company very competent, fast delivery..3 days to Ireland..item as described. Gransfors Bruks small forest axe..same price as all other sites..BE AWARE OF IMPORT DUTIES..axe cost €150...another €50 for duties..although this has nothing to do with Nordic Outdoor..
Overall i would reccomended this company. 👍

I ordered several Sporks last week. The website was excellent, price was very competitive and the order process from payment to delivery was swift and painless.

Great company to deal with & very happy to buy again from and recommend a fellow small business. Much happier doing this than funding Mr Bezos' slave labour program.

Can't comment on problem solving as there was none to solve.

Poor customer service. I’ve sent 3 emails and not had a reply. Beware, they have a not refund policy for shop bought items, that is printed on the bottom of the receipt and customers are not informed, unless you take the time to read the receipt before departing the shop. When you try to exchange an item, they appear to ignore you.

BEWARE! No monetary refund on anything bought in store. Clearly undecided on a £250 jacket, I was encouraged by the staff to take the jacket home to show my family, without any mention that I would only be eligible for an exchange or credit note. I feel absolutely conned by the staff at St James Place, Edinburgh.
You are much safer shopping online or at a shop with a better return policy.

Poor customer service attitude.

Good with delivering what you order, but the attitude of staff whenever you call is pretty poor.

After three separate calls to ask questions about product details and availability it's clear that they don't know anything about their products, or care very much about your queries.

My advice; if you use them just use the info on their site. Don't waste your time calling them.

I purchased a Helly Hansen jacket for my wife from their Richmond store as a present this week. After exchanging it for the next size up it still did not fit so I took it to the store to return it and get a refund (2 days after the original purchase).

I presented the receipt and the jacket still had all the tags and packaging. The service I received was recalcitrant and unhelpful- they diffidently said they don’t do refunds. This was not explained by the assistant who I made the original purchase with and I would have not made the purchase had I been made aware of it so that was extremely misleading and underhanded of this brand.

Then on top of that being told when I went to return it that my only recourse if I couldn’t find another jacket or item to swap it for (there was nothing as the stock in this shop is very poor) was to exchange it for their store voucher card with a credit for the amount I paid on it was the icing on the cake.

Not only can they not be bothered to explain their ‘no refund’ policy up front, they also don’t care whether their customers actually get the products they are looking for and only care about locking in your money for the purchase- so much for the customer experience. Their staff came across as nonchalant and disinterested in actually solving the problem.

It is disgraceful that a store like this gets to lock in your money like this - avoid if you are buying presents for others and don’t want to lose your money.

Very happy with my order it was shipped very promptly and turned up well packaged. I will definitely use nordic outdoor again and recommend them to others.

Brilliant Customer service. Helped out with EU size conversation and last minute changes. Delivered next day as promised. Great prices also.

Have bought a few items now including clothing, gloves and Gransfors axes over several years and always received good service. I even had to return an item recently and received a refund very quickly, so I’m pleased with Nordic Outdoor and will keep using them when possible.

I placed an order Friday before last and added comments concerning specific requirements of the item not even expecting an acknowledgement. I was wrong to not expect.

It was responded to the next morning (Saturday) by a representative Andrew who clearly took the time to fully read and acknowledge my specifics, he then referred it to the person with the best product knowledge (Damian).
The time was taken to select that which best met my requirements and was backed up by Lauren sending me images of my order confirming / reassuring the specifics had been met.
Beyond expected, not only that but they also met the fast shipping selected even though I said a delay would be fine.

Overall an excellent shopping experience, attentive and friendly, communication spot on!

Thanks again guys, will be ordering again (I hope)!

Amazing customer service. Big shout out to Andrew who went the extra mile to help me with my Vidda pro trousers. Due to a mistake my end i ordered the wrong size trousers. Andrew went above and beyond to help me out and fix the issue.

Glad i went for these guys rather than one of the highstreet/ecommerce giants. 10/10 will shop again and recommend to others

This company is fake and has been reported

I was searching for a couple of Mora knives online, but everywhere was either out of stock or telling me I’d be emailed once my order was ready for dispatch. After a few weeks wait I cancelled my Amazon order for knives and found these guys had the ones I wanted in stock. I placed my order late on a Saturday, got confirmation emails the same day and expected delivery notice by the Monday. I knew there would be a proof of age confirmation, but I hadn’t expected to get an email on the Sunday. I sent off my POA the same day and got a dispatch notification within a few minutes. Needless to say the quick processing of my order on the Sunday meant that I got my products quickly and safely delivered by DPD on the Tuesday. That’s an amazing turnaround for a small, but friendly business working through a national lockdown. I’d highly recommend the first class service of Nordic Outdoor and the amazing range of products these guys stock.

Buyer beware - this company does not offer refunds in store.
I purchased an item and returned it for a refund within 24 hours. The item was really uncomfortable and I couldn't try it properly in store because of covid. They will not give me a refund because it is their policy not to. They told me that is clearly stated on the receipt but there is no way of knowing that before purchase. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known that I couldn't return it.
The sales assistant told me I was the only person to be unhappy with that in 12 years of trading which clearly isn't true judging from another review on here. Their attitude was not customer friendly.

Really great customer service! I was initially worried as the order I placed had not yet been sent, but a quick email and call put everything back on track and received my package earlier than expected! Really great range of products and will definitely be shopping there again. Thanks guys! :)

Sadly had to return item due to manufacturers size guidances. Superb service with that

i Purchased a tent from Nordic outdoor and after one use I had a concern about some stitching. I contacted the shop and spoke to Andrew who arranged for my tent to be sent back to the manufacturer for inspection. The customer service I received from him was of the highest standard. He kept me updated at every stage and has always been in touch when he said he would be. I will definitely use the store again for further purchases as I feel that they really look after their customers even after they’ve had your money which is where a lot of other companies fail.
