There isn't one thing that made my experience great. Everything from start to finish was 5*. Communication, every email, every question was answered promptly. Travel, from collection at airport to pick up each day was communicated clearly and efficiently. PreOp, consultation with Consultant, pre op tests all arranged for me. Surgery, all ran smoothly and professionally. Post surgery, after care was brilliant, the two nights in hospital gave me time to recuperate, nurses were available 24/7 within seconds, pain relief, anti sickness, sleeping tablets etc were administered promptly. Follow up (5 days), after release from hospital to my apartment, a nurse called daily, if I did not answer the door, the clinic called my mobile to do a welfare check. I went for bloods (results in 15 minutes) every day to check on infection markers, again all transport ran like clockwork. Leaving Lithuania travel was vip, bags carried into airport and assisted travel all the way home.

I have been to Nord in Kaunas before for a knee replacement so knew it was a great place to have my Bariatric surgery.
Nothing is too much trouble, excellent clinic, great staff and the Professor is amazing. He is also a very nice person.
Stayed two nights then back to hotel and after three more nights, home. I cannot recommend Nord enough.

The whole experience was smooth from being collected from the airport through to the surgery itself. I have some professional medical experience, and in particular I found the quality and caring approach of the nursing staff excellent throughout.

Prof Maleckas spent his time to video call me to persuade me why surgery was not in my best interest, I was determined to get anti reflux surgery when the science didn't back up what I thought. In the UK if you want to speak to surgeon it's cost 100's of pounds, Prof Maleckas spent the time to explain to me why surgery was not the best course of action, and didn't ask for a penny. He genuinely wanted the best for me. Thanks professor.

From the first online enquiry to departing back home I cannot fault them.
Your online rep answers questions swiftly and they can even sort out accommodation for you. Your greeted at the airport, taken to and from appointments. They message you the night before to tell you when blood tests etc and surgery will be. In the hospital everything and everyone is so professional and really clean. The nurses are amazing even with the long hours they work, Ausra the head Nurse is the loveliest lady ever!
Professor Maleckas is amazing!! Nothing else needs to be said. Just a lovely man.
Dietician comes in and gives you tons of helpful info.
Physiotherapist comes in gives you exercises to do to help alleviate gas pain etc.
We stayed two nights in hospital and then were taken back to our accommodation where we rested and started to adjust to our new way life (me and hubby had op the same day).
You are given meds, painkillers and blood thinner injections along with all info and paperwork that you need.
Picked up, taken to airport and sent on our merry way.
Plus they have a 5 year follow up with them so any problems or queries they are there to help.

Nothing was too much trouble for the team,most impressive was timing from going to theatre and even their logistics was always on time.I can’t thank them enough for what they did,their dedication commitment to patient care is the best there is

From a nervous initial decision to take the plunge for Gastric Bypass, I was delighted that I chose Nords, the service received from transportation, to nursing to the surgery itself was nothing short of fantastic..
I am currently 6 days post op, and feel great, and am back home delighted with everything.

I can't stress the level of care I received for my gastric sleeve surgery. From pick up at the airport to return to the airport, there is nothing I can fault. And Julija, my rep, was always available before, during and after to help me with my mad questions! Three weeks later and I'm still contacting her! In Lithuania, there was always someone available to check on me and for me to ask questions. The surgery went so well too! I'll never regret having it. It feels like I've been given a second chance at life. Thank you so much to all the staff in Nords ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Everything that Norbariatic did was excellent from beginning to end.They were very patient whilst we dealt with all the delay and additional information requests from the NHS to get the S2 co-funding approved. The staff I met in Lithuania all spoke good English, were friendly, helpful and efficient. There's a fleet of Skoda Superb estate cars to ferry patients from the airport to the clinic, to the hotel, and back to the airport. The drivers will carry your luggage and get you an airport trolley if you need. The Reception staff explain all the forms clearly, and give you as much time as you want to read them. The Clinical staff explained the procedure in a relaxed and reassuring way. Nobody appeared tired or rushed off their feet! Post operation, a nurse was present when I woke to make sure I could have something to drink, and the monitoring whilst I recovered from the anesthetic was automatic, so I wasn't being repeatedly woken up. The nurse came quickly if I needed anything and I was taken back to my hotel as soon as I felt fit enough. Most importantly, the procedure itself was a compete success! Oh, and they make a great cup of coffee!
Can't think of anything that could have been done better. I traveled alone, so was a bit anxious, but the impression I got of the clinic and the staff soon soothed my fears.

Outstanding Care and Professionalism comes to mind after my recent visit to Nords for my bypass. I travelled alone and stayed in the Nord Clinic apartments. I never once felt alone, the August group have really supported each other, like a little family. My experience has been very positive and every day has been such an improvement. I highly commend the surgical and care team. They were excellent. The clinic is of a very high standard. I work within the surgical field with surgeons so have a lot to compare too. I would highly recommend Nords for your surgery. Very impressed. Thank you!!

Went to Nord for a gastric bypass from Ireland on the 28th of July . From the moment we were collected in the airport till being dropped back the service was 5 star, Nord apartments were beautiful. The clinic was amazing, spotless clean , the staff knew their jobs well, the surgeon and all nurses and doctors were brilliant at their jobs and put me at ease the whole time . The surgery went perfectly and they had on-site dietitians and physiotherapist to help create an after care plan , the Nord representatives are amazing to deal with and answered all my questions quickly and were so helpful. Anyone thinking of getting WLS Nord Is definitely the place to go

If any one is considering bariatric surgery they need look no further than Nordbariatric, from the moment you contact this clinic the administration staff bring you through the whole process with ease. My coordinator Valerija was excellent and kept me well informed of everything that was going to happen, from transport, apartment booking and hospital appointments. The hospital team were so efficient, they made the whole experience comfortable and pleasant, as for Professor Maleckas what a professional , at the pre op consultation he explained everything in plain simple language and you felt like you were talking to a friend. I had my surgery on Saturday around 2 pm and was back in my apartment Sunday evening around 8 pm , no pain ,slight discomfort, I couldn't believe I had just had surgery but this is all down to the professionalism of the surgeon and his team. There is absolutely nothing that I could fault about my experience at Nordbariatric clinic , 5 stars all the way and I would highly recommend them to anyone considering this type of surgery.

I booked Nordbariatric early this year.. I made my decision based on positive feedback from clients on the Facebook group. I made contact with Nord via email & was assigned a representative to answer all my questions & concerns. After receiving my date I was added to the WhatsApp group for the month of my Surgery. I was able to ask questions & made some real friends.
When my date finally arrived I found everything to run smoothly & professionally. The logistics team where always on time. The ladies on front desk were super helpful with the admin side & provided me with all documentation needed to claim back from the Cross Border Directive here in Ireland.
My Surgery day went smoothly. Nurses were amazing & very attentive. Dr Maleckas was friendly professional & performed my Surgery perfectly. My aftercare was amazing & I was so well looked after. The clinic & rooms were spotless & had everything I needed. Robes, slippers, toiletries & a lovely bright window. I've recovered well & the weight is coming off. I would highly recommend Nords for 5 star service in all areas

DO IT!
If you are considering it, this is the right place. Everything was seamless and communication great. When I was in hospital it would take the nurses less that a minute to show up after I rang the bell and they were attentive. The Prof and the whole team are amazing and gentle. Other places may be cheaper, but I strongly believe that you dont want to be a cheapskate when it comes to your life.

The whole experiance from the very first contact with the clinic and all the subsequent correspondence , with booking accommodation and transport pick up was excellent . The drivers pick up to and from the clinic was very punctual .The clinic staff were friendly and very professional . The Surgeon conceltation was excellent and in depth .Also the the Surgeon after post operative was excellent in communication . the Nurses were excellent and kind and caring also, overall an upmost professional team . I would recommend the clinic to any person who requires surgery .
