I would tell people to stay away from this product. My hair fell out like mad and has never been so thin.
I believe it is dangerous. Full of chemicals and should not be on the market. Beware!

Nioxin you deliberately targets the most vulnerable in our society, those who suffer hair loss - young men are most at risk of suicide - why add to their despair!!
Young men who become desperate with thinning hair and could be driven over the edge with non efficacious (not scientifically proven to be of any value) remedies for hair loss - women too suffer - when is all this going to STOP!!

Alarming to read some have had more hair loss using product. I bought and have yet to use- system 6. Annoyed that the sticker on back of shampoo that is meant to be peeled off of the 2nd sticker- does not separate. Gave up!

I’ve been on the Nioxin Hair Care System #3 (color safe/progressed thinning) for a couple of weeks and I’m amazed at how well it has improved my hair’s texture. The most significant result (for me) is all of the new hair growth I have in just a matter of two weeks! My hairline had receded badly after extreme hair loss post-COVID, and I just could not wear my hair up anymore. But not a problem as of today!
Lots of hair growth, and my hair is super clean and soft. So far I love it.
I need to also mention that my husband has been using it too because it seemed to have helped his severe dandruff and dry scalp issue.

Being in surgical menopause I was noticing a lot of thinning and was recommended this shampoo. After over a month of using it religiously my hair loss is ridiculous. Considering the average person shreds 50-100 hairs per day, after shampooing I lose over 100 in the shower alone, (I have to actually remove the mass of hair tangled around my hands before attempting to condition) this not include all the lose hairs left on my body or those from brushing and randomly falling out on my desk during the day. I’m actually concerned that if I attempt to finish the huge bottle I will have no hair left! I know it says may experience additional hair loss at the start but over a month on is nothing short of depressing.

After years of on and off hair shedding - while using Nioxin, my hair dresser suggested I get off this shampoo (mostly because of its high chemical content) and try some thing more natural. I did some more reading and found the chemicals in Nioxin can actually inflame your scalp and make the hair loss worse!! After about 6 weeks off the Nioxin, instead using a mix of keune (energising) and Georgia mane shampoo and scalp serums, my hair loss stopped and I have so much new hair growth coming through!!! I wish I had listened to my hair dresser earlier as she clearly knew best. If you're not having success with Nioxin this might be why!!
