Functional a beautiful!
Next Generation did a fantastic job with my new driveway, raising the level to avoid me scraping the bottom of my car on a peak in the pavement.
I can now finally get both vehicles onto the drive though I don’t want to as it hides the beautiful resin! Looks the part, also could believe how well it clears the rain and snow.
Had the side path also done now and I’m no longer sliding down it.
Very happy with the service, will be using again.

Where shall I start?
I left a bad review 3/4 years ago on Google reviews, starting with the fact it all started with a cold call asking if we wanted a quote for a resin drive, which we did! I dislike cold callers, and the whole experience just confirmed why!
Unbelievably, at the beginning of February, I received another cold call from the same company! To say I was surprised is an understatement... but, rather than reminding them we had a bad experience previously, I thought I'd go along with it, explaining to my husband that I wanted to see how far they would go.
I arranged for a meeting on 4th February, at a time I knew myself and my husband were in, so it wouldn't matter if they didn't show up, as they hadn't the first time.
As it happens, a friendly, jolly guy DID turn up, a few minutes late, but I would never hold that against anyone!
I explained we only wanted a rough quote, as we were getting a few, to compare and discuss.
We endured an hour and a half of a PowerPoint presentation, over-explaining every point. The guy was very pleasant, but it was far too long.
We were advised how much better this company is than anyone else, using quality materials and performing the work themselves, rather than using contractors, as others do!
I reminded him we just wanted a quote, and just for the top, as we had an extremely solid concrete drive, which he checked and agreed was perfect for a base.
Here's where everything became really unbelievable!!!!
Our *tiny* drive was measured.....
*84* sq. meters?!?!
(It only fits one car on and peters off into almost a point, almost triangular, and has been measured at 29 sq. meters by 3 other companies!)
We explained that we have a huge area at the back, which has recently been decked, and that is only *81* sq. meters! The NG guy wasn't interested in looking at that.
Plenty more stories, and some very rough scribbling later, I was advised the cost would be just over *£25000* !!
I suggested our drive and the price were both totally unrealistic, and was told "I'd be surprised" drives often look smaller than they actually are...
Surprised, alright!
Unbelievable!
I was advised there would be another few thousand on top if we HAD needed the concrete base!
I was definitely suspecting he had been sent to take the proverbial, due to my having left a bad review previously!
I was asked what I expected to pay, which is about £3000 to £4000.
He told me this couldn't be done by any reputable company, but that his company would call in a couple of days to discuss and may possibly be able to knock £1000 off.
He left!!
*No call* was ever received, so I couldn't discuss any of this with the company!!
There are plenty of other reviews like mine!
We now have a quote of *£3200* from an extremely reputable and pleasant company, who will create a beautiful covering for our *29* sq. meter drive!!!!!
How can a measurement be given of 84 instead of 29????
And what would a quote for 29 sq. meters actually be??
UPDATE- a day later-
In reply to the owners comments, it WAS a like for like quote, we HAVE a concrete base, the guy quoted for a topping only. He measured our 29sq m drive as 84 sq m. How is that even possible??? Then gave us an extortionate price!

We are sorry you are unhappy with your quotation experience. However, this is not reflective of the service received by customers who actually proceed with work through our company. We install hundreds of driveways each year, and the majority of our reviews are from genuine customers who have had work completed and can comment on the full experience from installation through to aftercare.
In your own review, you state that you arranged the appointment only to “see how far we would go,” which makes clear this was not a genuine quotation request, but an appointment arranged to test and criticise our company and process.
For clarity, we do not price purely by square metre. Our quotations are based on the full specification of works, including stone quality, design, edging, preparation works and guarantee cover. The quotation provided was for a full installation with dig out and sub-base so we could offer a genuine long-term, guarantee-backed installation. Even where a driveway already has a concrete base, that does not automatically make it suitable for a porous resin surface, as this depends on the condition of the concrete and what sits beneath it. We do not carry out inappropriate installations over unsuitable bases simply to reduce cost.
We are sorry that you felt the presentation was long. However, as a regulated company established since 2010, we follow strict procedures and policies when delivering quotations and explaining our installation process. This is to ensure customers are fully aware of the scope of works, specification and standard of installation being quoted.
Our representatives use professional measuring equipment, and all measurements are checked again at survey stage before any work proceeds. If any concern had been raised regarding your quote, our office is open Monday to Friday and we would have been happy to review the quotation further. We also do not carry out unsolicited cold calling. Our marketing activity is based on opted-in data sources, and where a customer asks for their details to be removed, they would not be contacted again.
Our quotations are based on quality, correct preparation and a guarantee-backed installation, not on competing with the cheapest option available.
Quality work done on time
The work was carried out within the expected timescale, given the weather-dependent nature of the work. The site was generally left tidy before the operatives left. The finished driveway appears to be of a high quality, and the operatives were always courteous and kept us informed of progress.

Very pushy sales tactics! Watch out!
We had a quote for a resin driveway from this company and it was a terrible experience overall!
I’d advised 3 people (door to door salesman, person that called to book in the quote, and the salesman who arrived to quote on the day) that we’d already had a quote for a tarmac drive, and although I was already sold on the benefits and look of resin from my own knowledge, I wanted something cost effective to tidy up our driveway as this isn’t our forever home. I’d made it clear that I knew resin was a more expensive option, so if it was going to be massively more expensive then I wasn’t interested. They persisted in arranging an appointment, and then spent over 90 minutes in my home talking through an unnecessary level of detail (I really didn’t need to see pictures of your offices!), when I was expecting about a 15 minute appointment for a rough quote based on sizing etc. They then use very pushy sales tactics and offer discounts that have to be accepted on the day and are only offered if you agree to a marketing package which includes leaving a review.
My biggest gripe is that they’re quoting severely over market rate and pushing to make a decision on the spot so you can’t do your own research for fear of missing out on the discount. Thankfully both figures were so outrageous (£39k or £32k if we took the discount and agreed on the spot) that there was no decision for us. For reference we’d had tarmac quoted at £7,750 for the same space, which we’d told the salesman before he spent over 90 minutes in our home.
I have no doubt that they are offering a good product, and the man that came to do the quote was friendly and left as soon as we said no. My bad experience was due to completely wasting our time, the pushy sales tactics and wildly over market rate quote.
I hope by leaving this review it will help others understand the time commitment involved in a quote, and help them to not fall for the sales tactics but instead spend time researching other options and getting comparable quotes.

We do always aim to be as clear as possible throughout the quotation process, including explaining how our resin driveways are installed, the materials and preparation involved, and why our pricing may differ from cheaper alternatives on the market. Our quotations reflect the quality of the installation, the products we use, and the guarantee we provide and stand by.
We are sorry if the appointment felt longer than expected or if the sales process came across as pushy in any way, as this is certainly not the experience we want customers to have. Our representatives should always respect a customer’s time and wishes, and if asked to leave, they will do so. We never want anyone to feel under pressure.
We would also like to clarify that resin is generally not intended to be a low-cost “tidy up” option, and it is naturally a more premium product when compared to alternatives such as tarmac. Our aim is never to waste anyone’s time, and we certainly do not push for appointments where the product is unlikely to be the right fit, as that is not beneficial for either the customer or ourselves.
That said, we do appreciate your comments regarding the way the appointment was handled and how the pricing and options were presented. We are genuinley sorry that this left you feeling frustrated, and your feedback will be taken on board internally.

The wet weather delayed our drive resurfacing but Next Generation kept in touch throughout the wait. The staff were courteous throughout and very professional.
The resin drive was laid by Jack who was meticulous in his work, like an artist. He was assisted by Alfie.
We are very happy with our new drive and would recommend Next Generation for home improvements.

New Resin Driveway
In October 25 we had a resin driveway done. We were really pleased with the end result. The Groundworkers were extremely helpful. I had a sight problem and they went out of their way to help me leave and enter the house, making sure nothing was there for me to trip over. we would highly recommend them.

All the staff from office, sales and installers were very helpful polite and respectful at all times. They cleaned up properly after each stage of the installation. Very pleased with everyone who we dealt with. Excellent job all round even though the weather was against us and caused several delays but completely out of their control.

Very customer focussed from the start to the completion of the journey. No pressure, no hassle. All of their staff (from the guy who dropped off a leaflet, to the teams who completed the work, to the people in the office) have been fabulous, friendly and helpful. Good service.
The driveway looks really great now, and nice and level. The team of 'lads' that did all the work, were very polite and friendly. They understood any worries or little alterations that needed putting right.
There was some mess left on the road after the machines had been taken away, but it was just a case of going round with a yardbrush to clear it up.
Overall, very pleased with final product, and recommended Next Generation Home Improvements.
