HI Neal, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We value your feedback and we're sorry to hear that your experience with Nest In Essex did not align with your expectations.

To provide some context and clarity, let's flip through the pages of your tenancy journey:

Over the past year, your rental agreement experienced a few ups and downs, with you requesting the contract being cancelled, then not cancelled, and then cancelled, then in just one person’s name to then back to the original agreement. It's been an interesting journey, to say the least.

When you reported a repair to the shower tempreture being tempermental during a routine inspection by one of our team in November, we were on it like a seagull on a chip, providing you with a plumber's details and arrangements for the repair the same day of your inspection. However, it seems this swift action didn't lead to a resolution as you didn’t action this and instead never reported the shower again as a problem to the office, you only mentioned it in passing comment on the next inspection. I’m assuming this is because it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience as between two residents you still had the use of another shower, and a bath.

Later, you requested a renewal of your tenancy for 12 months, which 3 months into this, you requested an early contract cancellation, which the landlord agreed to in the spirit of flexibility. on your departure, we found a few broken items and an oven requiring a deep clean. True to our commitment to efficiency, we spent the next day sourcing the most cost-effective solutions for these issues, diligently documenting all quotes. We then provided everything including the evidence to you.

We'd like to clear up a misunderstanding in your review: we don't outsource our services, with the exception of plumbing. We're skilled agents, but even we know our limits when it comes to pipework :) during your tenancy this is the only thing that was ever 'outsourced'.

One thing we pride ourselves on is our communication. We believe in going the extra mile for our tenants, responding promptly to all queries, regardless of the time. (for example several conversations with you, up to late some evenings via whatsapp or call, of which were non urgent and could of waited until the following day, however in the aim of providing a outstanding service, we always commited and continued these chats, in order to help) Even when it's a 10 pm phone call from you, about finding out where a postbox is (just 3 days ago). Now that's commitment!

We've always strived to treat our tenants with respect and fairness. The issues raised in your review only surfaced after the discussion of a deposit deduction, which was a bit of a plot twist, up until this point you never once raised any complaint, or negative feedback to Nest.

We understand that your review is based on your feelings at this time, and we respect that. However, we believe it might not reflect the entirety of your experience with us and instead be reaction to having money deducted which you have been chasing for several times over the day we took to review everything. We work tirelessly to deliver excellent service, as evidenced by numerous positive reviews from satisfied tenants.

Despite your review, we wish both you and Ellie all the best in your future endeavors.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.
I have looked into this and i would like to clear up a couple of things here if i may.
you originally called on the 13th of August (Saturday) just after 4pm. you were told by the agent dealing with the call (which i can confirm is a external team, not based in Liverpool) where they informed you all the agents were out of the office at present conducting viewings and someone would call you back on the next working day. This was about another property, you were called back on the 14th (being a sunday) to book in a time (which happened) and you subsequently viewed the property on the 15th. where Dan gave you a tour, After the viewing Dan tried to contact you for feedback of the property to deliver to our client but couldn't get hold of you for this feedback.

You then called the office on Tuesday 23rd in the afternoon to explain you wanted a viewing on a separate property on the 25th or 26th which this message was passed onto the agent dealing with that property.

You then called again 3 days later on Friday 26th, where your message was then passed onto my colleague who then called you and booked into this property.

Now, what i will agree, is there was a delay between calling you Tuesday and you speaking to us on Friday.

But, as explained by Daniel during your call, He was dealing with an offer on the property and these conversations were ongoing in the background with the owner not booking any further viewings until the situation with the offer was clear. the moment that was clear you were booked in.

so i will accept that perhaps we could of communicated the situation clearer with you to manage your expectations a bit better, however i do feel your statement "i would change agent immediately and you are losing viewers" its a bit strong given the situation here and "worst estate agent EVER" is a bit over the top.

I also would recommend next time you are unhappy with a company be it be us, or any other business in any other industry it would be wise to ask for a call back from a supervisor or manager if you are unhappy before leaving a 1* review as 9/10 times things could be resolved easy enough, often it is just a basic human mistake which could be resolved, and dealt with in a way to ensure it doesn't happen again and reviews like this can be damaging to small businesses without the full story being explained.

I thank you again for your review, i hope your experience on viewing the next property with us tomorrow is more pleasant.

Thanks for the review, As you know, we were dealing with a Landlord who was living abroad and insisted on using his own tradesman, who unfortunately was very unreliable, in the end we went through the insurance company and had a wait for the processes they had to go through before fixing the issue, we are aware Kyle was persistent is trying to get a solution asap, however due to factors out of our control this wasn't as quick as we would liked on this occasion, nevertheless, thank you for you review.
