Great shop & very helpful knowledgeable staff. We only bought a chalk bag this time, but staff couldn’t be more helpful.

Massive credit to needle sports and their team, helped me source a part for a stove from the manufacturer that doesn’t exist as an official spare part, definitely going above and beyond. I was up in Keswick for a holiday and after a run around Derwentwater I realised a pair of trail shoes were going to be a useful addition to my wardrobe. I did a bit of browsing around d Keswick but ultimately settled on shopping from Needle Sports. Greg was incredibly knowledgeable and ensured that the shoes were a good fit for me. I learnt an awful lot about my feet in general as part of the process! I was offered the chance to try them out for a few hours around the house (indoors) making sure to ascend and descend the stairs a few times. New shoes have had a few more uses already since and will get plenty more over the winter.

P.S. As I was in the queue to be served I overheard (aka eavesdropped) a conversation with another customer in which Greg encouraged them to get their existing shoes repaired rather than replace with new. A refreshing approach to sales that the world needs more of!

A diamond in a sea of detritus! Needlesports have to be one of the best climbing/outdoor outdoor shops left. Staff are excellent and extremely knowledgeable, willing to offer help and advice when asked without any faff or bluster. With out a doubt one of the best ranges of gear to walk in and buy! Far exceeds the massive chain dog walking stores who are ever increasingly mail order on any sort of decent kit!

Bought a hat online, they promptly sent the hat and now I wear it all the time. Everything that I wanted to happen happened and I couldn't be happier.

Having shopped both on-line and in the shop I've always been impressed by the range available and the advice provided. My experience ordering online has been exemplary - website is accurate about stock levels, dispatch is rapid and refunds for returns have been made directly after receiving the goods back. I needed some new o-rings for my 20 year old MSR stove, and had seen people moaning that they were only available in a complete stove maintenance kit that almost cost as much as a new pump. needlesports not only had the o-rings for 50p each (less than ebay), they also had an "Old Standard Pump Maintenance Kit" at a very reasonable cost which looks like it'll keep my stove going another 20+ years.

Postage wasn't a rip-off either

Excellent customer service and advice - I have bought gear and clothing from Needles Sports multiple times over the years and always had a positive experience, as well as some pretty good advice in store when I've been up that way - the returns policy on faulty goods has also been outstanding (and only had to use it once)

After being let down by a large chain retailer, I ordered a Mammut Serenity dry rope from Needle sports website the week before Christmas.
I wrote a message explaining that the rope was a present for my son, and I would like delivery before Christmas if possible.
I received a telephone call a few hours later telling me the rope had been dispatched and I should have it in plenty of time for Christmas.
The rope arrived on the next working day and my son is delighted with quality of the rope which is perfect for his mountain leadership training.
Definitely deserves 5 stars.

They had the specific item I was looking for at a decent price.

I placed the order on a Monday morning, received an email telling me it had been dispatched on the Tuesday, and received the item by Wednesday.

All in all an extremely positive experience, and based on this I would certainly use them again, and recommend them to other online shoppers.

Great selection of products at great prices, also some brilliant offers to be had. Have bought from the shop in Keswick and also their online store, no problems with either, knowledgeable staff and the website is full of useful information and links.

The website is packed with useful information. The range is also good and not cluttered with mediocre products. However the service in store and on the phone is not as first rate as the info on the website. They are also expensive.

Ordered MacPac Tuatara day pack and received the next day.
