Professional experienced crew, work carried out on time and to a high standard, booking easy and the service top class

Always get very efficient service. The staff go out of their way to help and will give good advice. They recently checked my exhaust which I thought was faulty but they advised was in good working order. No charge was made.

" National tyres Lancashire " and the awesome bunch of lads that work there definitely from my experience has to be a five star, from the get go they went above and beyond for my benefit, I booked the earliest appointment available on line for a 2pm appointment, I explained Im on holiday in lake district and time was precious and if there was any cancellations please let me know, with that said they told me if I brought it in first thing in the morning they would get me done which they did in no time 4 tyres, also took out the insurance deal which was £10.99 a wheel, I understood it at £10.99 for the full set, when it came to payment I realised it was to much for me at that moment after purchasing 4 new tyres, Chris was awesome and only charged me a fraction of bill..Chris the manager and Abraham on reception and all the lads who I was chatting to was all I great bunch of lads and friendly, felt like a day out rather than something that needed to get done, will be back again for my m.o.t next mth..Thank you to everyone there 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟👍

Manager seems a nice guy but I suspect that the quality of work depends on which technician you get. Mine failed to complete jobs, left parts unattached, left a mole wrench attached to the suspension ( !) and failed to road test the car. I was also informed that the washer nozzles needed replacing; I realigned them later with a pin. I’ve no confidence that any of the other jobs ( Full service and MOT) were done to an acceptable standard either. Promised a partial refund but I’m still waiting! Garage is a mess with broken seats in waiting area. Will cancel Halfords a premium membership and go to KwikFit in future who in my experience are far better.

First class service at the Lancaster branch of National. The on line booking was simple, straightforward. The fitting was quick with no issues. Staff very professional and helpful. Cant wait to buy another new tyre so that I can use their services again. Thank you.

Phoned on Monday 1st September and was booked in for the following day for new discs and pads on a Mini.

Don’t use national tyres or halford. They sell out of date tyres even through u pay for brand new some how all my brand new tyres are manufactured of different dates ranging from
2020. 2019. 2023. 2022

They also fitted a deformed tyre which messed u ok the tracking and alignment they refused to fix the issue and its cost me over £100 to be told the tyre are faulty by another garage and need to be replaced

Spent countless hours and days to sort this problem out but nothing has materialised in fact got a text message after a few days their is nothing more we can do

They proper messed me around booked in their auto center went twice taking days off work they told me the first time that their was no staff to perform the wheel alignment checks so rebooked the next day went for that appointment which was promised by the manager they will have it checked and done within 30mins they spent 1.5 hours and still nothing had been done

I went and asked what’s taking so long we are really busy only one staff is working etc …. It will be another 2 hours

Felt really overwhelmed just took my car went to another garage they done tracking and checked all moving components on the car to make sure nothing else is the issue causing the steering alignment to be out turns out the tyres are all of different batches and the tyres causing the problem

Halford/ national tyres are refusing now to assist and have given a complaint number which even their customer service have tried but no one can call to report a problem or complaint

I have always used Halford even brought all my cars dash cams and bikes and car seats much more but this is the one bad exercise that is a real safety concern !!! No response from their hub goes to show

National Tyres and Autocare, Caton Road, Lancaster

When I visited National Tyres and Autocare on Saturday, I had a simple request: fix or replace my punctured tyre. They were busy (fair enough, it happens) and asked me to return Monday, assuring me the tyre would be sorted. I upped the ante, ordering my tyre and telling them I’d be in on Tuesday.

Fast forward to Tuesday—I arrived to find my wheel sitting on the workshop floor… still rocking the old, punctured tyre. Not ideal. However, one of the lads sprang into action, said he’d sort it, and asked me to come back in 20 minutes. They did take a bit longer, but I wasn’t too fussed—it’s tyres, not a Formula 1 pit stop.

Now, the customer waiting room could do with some TLC. The sofa has clearly seen more punctures than my car, the coffee machine has retired without notice, and a bit of elbow grease wouldn’t go amiss. A clean and a skip for the sofa might work wonders.

That said, the lads in the workshop were fantastic. Polite, professional, and genuinely helpful. They couldn’t do enough for me, which made up for the less-than-perfect start.

All in all, great customer service from the team, but maybe a bit of a tune-up for the facilities wouldn’t hurt. Would I go back? Yes—but I might bring my own coffee!

This is the second time I've called here without being booked in and the fantastic team have sorted my 'problem tyre'. The staff are really friendly, polite and professional and unlike some other garages, don't treat me like an idiot because I'm a woman! Told me I didn't need a new tyre (very honest!) - they fixed the slow puncture and didn't even charge me. Excellent service - I'll be returning for my MOT and service now!

I ordered a tyre from a National Tyre and Auto Care Centre giving all the tyre parameters including load Index 104V XL. When it was fitted I found it was not like for like as the one removed i.e. the load index was wrong. The tyre fitted was Index 100V (800Kg) instead of 104V (900Kg) i.e. manufacturers original tyre specification as fitted to my car i.e. I now have 3 104V and 1 100V tyres. My Car manual states tyres with different parameters on the same axle will affect performance. The fitters at National say It will be ok. I don`t like having different tyres on the same axle. I messaged National regarding this issue. National have this evening replied to my review.
Emily, the job number on my receipt is 577/9009357 dated 08/07/2024 I am no longer near the tyre fitting centre but am now at home 100 miles away.Was asked to update review with original order number which I have done. Do they want me to completely rewrite my review of the service I received I don`t know or may be delete it altogether they havn`t said but the conversation has gone very quiet. I think I will have to declare defeat by National tyres as my conversation with them is going nowhere an expensive lesson learned. Should have used Black Circles in the first place for price and service.

First class service from Chris and the team at the Lancaster branch. We turned up without an appointment this afternoon, and despite all the staff being really busy, received not just a really friendly welcome, we got a superb deal on top quality new tyres. No hesitation in recommending this company.

Got a puncture on the motorway which needed a new tyre. the AA fitted a space saver which got me to the garage Wasn't too impressed when the garage wanted to use the AA's jack, gun and torque wrench to change the wheel. Tyre fitted and set off, only to find a bad vibration between 50 and 65mph once back on the motorway. Had to put up with this for the rest of the journey. Took it to the local national tyre garage the next day and they checked it. Well out. Removed two large stripes of balance weights and then fitted a small strip and rechecked it. Can't fault the local branch. They identified and fixed the issue in less than 5 mins.

This garage is full of genuine staff.
