The booking website has been rubbish for a very long time...but every time I tell the staff at Vue Southport, they say 'we know, they are working to fix it'...but nothing changes.
Tried again on 28th Feb 2023 but ended up paying at counter...hate queuing when you don't need to.

This mobile app is simply crap! It just doesn't work.
The Vue mobile app should be avoided at all costs. I keep thinking that it surely must get better (obviously after I've forgotten not to use it! Today it refused to accept three different cards for payment, wasted half an hour of my time, and I lost the seats I was initially trying to book. I will NEVER use this app again. It is the worst app I have ever come across - it doesn't merit ANY stars in a review. Always try to remember to use a desktop pc or laptop when booking! Trust me, I'm a banjo player :(

Vodaphone MyRewards are honestly a joke. Their MyVue deal is not a deal, it's A CON.
Don't waste your time BUYING vouchers to 'save' yourself money. You have to buy the vouchers from MyRewards and then buy your tickets from Vue cinema as well. Seriously?! This all works out to be the same price anyway when you add both together. It's a senseless waste of time.

Problems with website
Trying to book 5 tickets on line but does not let you select seats. Tried it on 4 different devices. No phone number to ring cinema direct. Don't want to risk 5 of us turning up and not be sat together. I see someone else had the same experience 3 days ago so why has it not been sorted.

BEWARE of gift cards!
Received a gift card, went to book online and astoundingly you can not use them to book tickets online! A quick look shows they have received negative feedback for this over literal years but still haven't done something about it. Instead, they point to the "terms and conditions" and yep fair enough it says on them, but who on earth reads them and doesn't have the expectation to use a gift card for a businesses main service?

Can’t book a ticket on Vue app & can’t put QR ticket on Apple Wallet
This is about the Vue app & adding E-tickets to Apple Wallet. It has been impossible to process a payment on the Vue app for a very long time and problem has not been fixed. Booking only works on the laptop. If you want us to book online, please fix your app! Also, the confirmation email says it’s possible to add the QR ticket code to Apple Wallet, but this is clearly untrue. Why isn’t Vue fixing this? Not the end of the world, but it is quite irritating. It also shows lack of regard to customers.
Vues current ID policy for children…
Vues current ID policy for children having to show a passport to prove their age is discriminatory against those who do not have passports. Your Cinemas should consider introducing their own photo ID cards that Parents/Guardians can sign their children up for. Why should children that do not have passports be penalised and how is it resonable to expect children to carry their passport on their person, this in itself is putting them in danger. Has your company never heard of identity theft and child slavery. My Granddaughter and Friend who are both 15 where today refused admission to watch a 15 film because they could not show a passport, until Vue rethinks it's policy on proof required myself and immediate family shall be boycotting VUE Cinema. Keep our children safe do not instruct them to carry personal documents like passports that may put them in danger!

Took Grandson to morning showing in The Vue/Eastleigh.Long slow queue and th film had already started. Asked for a senior and child ticket, to which a very bored looking assistant informed me they were all the same price ,and to pick my seat. At no time did she mention the seats were different prices. I was expecting to pay £4.99 each and as we were in a rush did not check my tap payment.Appantley there are luxury seats, even though all the seats are the same, but you pay and extra £3 depending on where you sit. So it cost me £7.99 each. Had this been explained to me I would have chosen somewhere else to sit. The manager nothing short of usless and informed me there was a notice by the till, but when you have a hyperactive 6 year old and the film has already started,its not something you notice.She also mentioned it was a new system and they were all getting used to it,and as I had already watched the film,more or less tough luck .I am a pensioner, and to pay £15.98 plus their extortionate priced drinks and sweets plus parking,I simply cant afford. The cashier should have informed us of their new system and not just assume . I wont be going there again

Trying to book a film and have 'preparing your booking' for over an hour, tried logging off/on and refresh, no humans available to help, wont risk driving and finding no seats. Can book other films same day but not 'Wrath of Khan' ! Maybe will work in 23rd Century.
Useless website
Useless website. Spent 2 hours trying to book 2 tickets using a meerkat code. It either brings up an error code, error page or reverts to one ticket. Every time I try to use this site I have problems. Its a wonder they get any business whatsoever. What I don't understand is why such a large company has such a poor unreliable website.
Vue wasted my time
Vue offered me a free ("encourage you back to Vue') ticket and, after spending an hour online trying to redeem it and to contact Vue for information, I had to give up. Vue wasted so much of my time I'm determined that I will never in future be watching films at their theatres. Rather than being encouraged back, I've only been driven further away!

Cancelled the screening a couple of hours before the film and I was forced to buy new tickets for another time and change all my plans for the day.
In return, they gave me unequal vouchers, which again makes me displeased.

Online booking experience is not fit for purpose. Cannot chose a seat and can’t buy tickets as it freezes out. They will not last on this basis.

And then we use the dicounted coupon to purchase tickets on myvue.com for 2 people
After discount code is applied we pay £7 while booking tickets
So tot we paid for 2 people is £14 which infact the same price if we purchase ticket directly on Vue cinema website!!
