Avoid these guys.

I can't quite tell what they do other than upsell and sell you promotional sales calls.

The thing about them that prompted this review is their rebill policy. In order to ensure you don't get rebilled you have to email support. When you email support you get an AI message saying in order to avoid rebill you must email "x" addess and it's the address you JUST emailed. It also says the email is no longer monitored by a human.

So you're basically in an endless loop of trying to not get rebilled... and per their policy which is clearly listed. Once you are rebilled you can't get a refund.

I had a terrible experience with Music Gateway and I honestly feel like it’s a scam.
What they seem to do is let you keep paying for the subscription and working on the platform until you finally earn enough for a payout. Then suddenly they accuse you of artificial streaming. In my case, they never provided any proof or explanation for this accusation.
I was never warned before, and everything was fine while I was paying the monthly subscription. Only when it came time for a payout did they block my account. I had already completed user verification with my ID and connected all the required payment information, so there was no issue there.

Another strange thing is that they didn’t even take my music down from the platform, which makes the situation feel even more questionable.

Because of this, I lost around $700 in advertising, $400 in subscription fees, and months of time and work promoting my music. When I tried to get answers, they refused the payout and provided no real evidence to support their claims.
Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I strongly recommend that artists be very careful before using this platform.

They increased our membership fees from a yearly rate of 10 Euros without sending any message to 150 (!) Euros, then they made it impossible to cancel the membership via their website after login - we performed the cancellation online, and it looked as if we cancelled, but apparently they didn't perform it in the backend - so they simply charged the money again the next year and the credit card company gave them right! Avoid at any cost!

Similar to other one star reviews, I signed up to this 'free' service several years ago to try their automated mastering. Unbeknownst to me (and everyone else evidently) their 'free tier' ended at the end of January 2025 and everyone was moved on to their £17 a month plan, which you would only actually realise if you scrutinise your outgoings each month. How a company can simply alter your account without any form of communication and start charging you each month without your consent is quite frankly shocking, and this company should be ashamed of their predatory practices which they hide behind citing 'the small print'. I am just amazed that companies can operate in this manner.

Absolute scam. Stay away. Should be shut down predatory jerks. Positive reviews here are fake, bought, just like everything these losers claim.

Absolute thieves they have been stealing from my account for a year!!! Small enough that I missed it, but I never approved a monthly payment and now they are avoiding my emails. Do not use this "service" they will steal from you!

Sam was really knowledgable, open and friendly when sharing his expertise in Sync licensing. He gave me a lot of ideas to pursue myself and also introduced me to the various services Music Gateway offer. I also had an initial meeting with Lee - it is a real pleasure to meet the people behind the company instead of just being a faceless entity. I really value that and they exceeded my expectations thus far! It is really hard as an Indie artist to know who to trust and they are very authentic.

We worked with Music Gateway last year on a campaign to help grow our audience on Spotify, and the experience was genuinely excellent from start to finish.

The campaign delivered real, tangible results, we generated a huge number of new listeners, saw meaningful growth across our audience, and even had one of our songs added to The Rock’s personal gym workout playlist, which was completely beyond anything we could have hoped for.

What really stood out to us was how supportive and professional Music Gateway are when it comes to helping up-and-coming artists. The process felt organic, respectful, and focused on getting the music in front of the right ears, rather than empty numbers or shortcuts. It felt like our music was being championed properly.

We couldn’t have asked for more from the experience and are very much looking forward to working with Music Gateway again in the future. We would absolutely recommend them to any band or artist who takes their music career seriously and wants to reach bigger audiences in the right way.

Unfortunately, Music Gateway appears to be a criminal organization on a whole new level.

Over a year ago, I released my songs on Music Gateway. Since then, I haven't received any sales or stream reports, nor any payment. I've repeatedly requested this information from Music Gateway, but all my requests have been ignored.

It seems that while the songs are released, the revenue isn't distributed to the artists. I've also read similar complaints in older reviews of the company.

The website's user interface is also the worst and most buggy I've ever encountered in my work as an artist.

I strongly advise against using this distributor.

I was supposed to receive payment on November 20th, and the reports for the following month on the 25th. When I emailed them, I received a reply stating, “Your account is under review due to artificial reporting.” A few days later, I tried contacting them via email again, but I did not receive a reply and was unable to receive my earnings. Could you please help me?

My only regret? Not doing the bigger package the first time. The results were that good.

Stay far, far away from MusicGateway. This company is a massive red flag.

I reached out well in advance to cancel my subscription, yet they make it practically impossible to stop your membership. No clear cancellation button, no straightforward process — just a maze of pages designed to confuse you until the next payment goes through.

And of course, despite my clear request to cancel, they still charged me €80 without my authorization. It feels deliberately misleading and borderline predatory. When you try to get support, their customer service is slow, evasive, and completely unhelpful.

I’m warning everyone: DO NOT sign up for anything here. You won’t be able to cancel, and they will take your money regardless of what you communicate.

This company operates in a way that I find absolutely unacceptable and unethical.
Save yourself the headache and stay away from MusicGateway.

Really encouraging and so helpful getting my music heard. Communication great too. Very happy with Music Gateway, they are not just a generic site, they are genuinely supportive of artists, and giving them a platform.

Vile company actively operating a scam. They have taken over £100 from me now without my consent. I only ever agreed to a free account, they just decided to start charging. When I noticed it was clear they had been taking money from me continuously without my consent. Each time you try to speak to them to contest it takes weeks. They have even taken more money since I've explicitly stated I never gave my permission for them to take any money, never signed up for a paid account, had asked for my account to be deleted and they continued to take money.

They are refusing to refund the money they have taken, even though I only ever signed up for a free account. They will say in the small print that they changed the account type and that is my fault for not seeing that they'd decided to turn me into a paying customer? Absolute lowlife scum of a company!

I cannot advise artists enough to stay clear of this highly malicious company as they will take money from you without your consent and not be helpful in any way! Police being notified.

I had a really great experience with the team at Music Gateway. It's refreshing to work with a music promo company that go above and beyond what they say they're going to do, and to also have direct access to the team working on your campaign. They exceeded the estimated number of streams for my campaign, and I'm really happy with the results for this release.

Their digital platform is one of the best I've used too. I'm considering moving all of my distribution across to them too.
