Useless to call them
Totally useless phone number in brussels 028947000, 4 times connected, 4 times hanged-up, in between hearing them talking in French about having a drink and going to disco, literally. I hope that when there is a problem the insurance will be more efficient than their reception desk, but I fear not, because I also tried to go via accident declaration which looped me back to reception desk, with same end.

Individuals there were really lovely and helpful (thank you) but I was always passed from one to the other. Went in a full circle and took nearly all day. Don't use them.

Diese Versicherung verweigert im Zusammenhand mit der ITravel Pleite die Zahlung unter Verweis auf ein für den Kunden undurchsichtiges Firmenkonstrukt. Das kommt einem Betrug gleich, zumal auch die Versicherung verpflicht sein muss, die Richtigkeit der gewährten Versicherungsleistung zu prüfen.
Die im Zusammenhang mit MSAmlin ausgestellten Sicherungsscheine sind das Papier nicht wert und können getrost als wertlos angesehen werden. Ich rate jedem unbedingt das von einem Rechtsanwalt prüfen zu lassen, weil im Schadensfall keinerlei Leistung zu erwarten ist. Hände weg von MS Amlin!
Unhelpful and disorganised company - dont use
Never have I experienced such a unhelpful and disorganised company with absolutely no knowledge or experience of what they are taking about. Considering they are our insurance company and a third party hit us and omitted full liability its costing us our excess. They have also tried to get more money out of us, stating we were underinsured then revoked that when we said no. So unhelpful and rude on the phone, terrible experience and still fighting after 4 months for something to get done.
Nutzlose Versicherung
Nachdem die Reiseagentur bei der wir unsere Reise gebucht haben Insolvenz ging und das Geld vorher natürlich nicht an die Hotels weitergereicht wurde, konnte unser Urlaub nicht stattfinden. Da der Reiseveranstalter eine Insolvenzversicherung bei der MS Amlin hat und wir über einen Sicherungsschein verfügten habe ich diesen inklusive der Rechnung bei der Versicherung eingereicht. Es kam überhaupt keine Reaktion nach mehreren Erinnerungen kam dann zurück dass sie dafür nicht haften. Worüber sich auch der Reiseveranstalter sehr gewundert hat. Wofür soll denn dann diese Versicherung sein ….. es ist wirklich ein Witz. Daraufhin habe ich wieder zurückgeschrieben und natürlich keine Reaktion erhalten zusätzlich habe ich mit meiner Rechtschutzversicherung gesprochen und dem europäischen Verbraucherschutz. Beim EVZ teilte man mir mit dass man mit dieser Versicherung bereits ähnliche Erfahrung bei ähnlichem fällen gemacht hat die versuchen grundsätzlich alles einmal ab zu schmettern und nicht zu zahlen und lassen es auch gern drauf ankommen dass man sie am Ende verklagt. Selbst EUGH Urteile sind für diese Versicherung nichts wert. Ich werde jetzt trotzdem versuchen weitere Schritte einzuleiten das kann doch nicht wahr sein, wozu ist eine Versicherung denn da es ist eine absolute Frechheit. Zusätzlich werde ich mich noch bei der Aufsichtsbehörde für Versicherungen ( CAA ) in Luxemburg erkundigen.
Litigation through the court is necessary to get lawful insurance amount paid
My son had been involved in an accident through no fault of his own. The ambulance, which is insured through Ms. Amlin, did not provide any assistance. Major mistakes were made, admitted by the ambulance service itself. We have been fighting for 5 years to get rightful compensation for our son because due to the loss of 20% of his brain, his life will never be the same as it was before the accident. If he had been taken to the hospital immediately by ambulance (IJsselland), he might have been 100% recovered. The errors made are acknowledged by the Ambulance organisation IJsselland. Even if the damage and liability have been proven in court, one still has to enforce that through the courts to get compensation for the articulated damage. This insurer should have its license revoked in the Netherlands!

MS Amlin owe me £12000 for my Polo that one of their customers smashed up but are keeping the money in their bank account instead of transferring it to mine. I shouldn’t have to chase repeatedly to get my money. Pathetic company
Absolutely useless company
In common with other reviewers here my parked vehicle was hit by an MS Amlin customer towing a horsebox. The wing and sill were cracked and the wing badly scratched. I got a quote for repairs (a new wing needed).It was deemed a write off! This is a perfectly good car with low mileage for the year. I was offered £1600 in compensation - the same model, year and mileage, will cost me nearly £3k. This insurance company will not budge. They are mean and greedy and clearly have no intention of improving their service given the regular low ratings they receive. Review date is last correspondence I received refusing my completely justifiable claim.

After they admitted liability after one of their customers rear ended me at red traffic lights they are now dragging their heels about paying out for repairs.
I am now having to pay for repairs as it is my only work vehicle and take amlin to court to retrieve any monies due for repair,loss of earnings and injuries sustained as a result of accident.
I look forward too seeing you in court.
Longer contrat + on hold not possibel
I cant stop the contract and this was never told to me. It will still be actif till 31/12/25.
+ I asked to suspend the contract for quite a few months because I am medically not capable of working so I dont need the insurance.
It was also impossibel. Contract costs 1500€ each year.
Not fit for purpose.
We have Multi-vehicle insurance via MS Amlin and we were hit by another vehicle in January 2023 whilst parked up. We were supposed to be given a courtesy car, but this never arrived. It is now nearly MAY and we have not been given a courtesy nor had our vehicle repaired. It has been deemed a write-off and we were offered approx. 50% of market value in compensation. We disputed this but upon trying to return the calls to the firm, we were unable to get through to anyone.
No accountability, too many phone attempts.
Sounds much the same as the previous reviews sadly. Having to get my windscreen replaced and I have phoned 6 times so far , last phone call was with someone called Lucy who sounded like my savour and promised to call the appropriate people to get it all sorted and then promised to call back. Couldn’t believe the lack of accountability. No phone call back of course. Current date is 14/03/23. I’m a patient person and have dealt with many insurance companies before. Not a winger but I felt this bad to be written to hopefully be seen by someone to save them the anguish. Disappointing at every turn , this is the second point at which I have had to contact them and the first time was no different either.

I would give this zero stars if that was an option. If you need a windscreen replacement then these are really not the guys. I have been pushed from pillar to post and sent all around the office speaking to various people, as I write this I am on the phone and on my third person who cannot help. Four emails have been sent from National Windscreen which just needs to be verified, this still has not happened. Very expensive company with very little support avoid avoid avoid. Two weeks on and still trying to get a new windscreen replacement, shocking.

I've been in the waiting queue to make a claim for 1.5 hours now. Do they have any claims handlers? Who knows... Absolutely awful service.

As third party insurance this company has just abused of me, they have written off my scooter and refused to repair it, the money offered as compensation will not cover the repair. I hope someone just make justice and a not too far future.
MS Amlin collects the premiums but procrastinates on Genuine claims
My company is a residential landlord and in January a named storm ripped off the garage roof and door. After months of continuously chasing them and their assessors they paid for replacing the roof but claimed the garage door could not have been ripped off in the storm. The problem is the door was ripped off and we have photographic and independent evidence that the door was present and correct before the storm. Now going through a further complaints procedure. I am responsible for paying insurance on 16 properties and I pay up on time and in 30 years claims have only been made on 3 properties. It appears this company believes if they keep procrastinating long enough we will go away. They clearly don't know who they are dealing with.
