New tyres

Booked in for tyres. Arrived on time, car taken straight in and done. Staff polite and prices fair. This was my 2nd return (2 cars) and I’m sure I will use Mr Tyre Kettering again.

Wheel balancing.

I booked my car in for a check of the wheel balancing, the guys did a good job, in and out in a half hour. Wheel wobble cured. Reasonably priced too. Thanks

Steer clear if you want to see a healthy bank balance

Got totally ripped off by this garage my car cost me over £800 to get it through an mot, due to a jobsworth mot inspector
Would I go there again? That’s a no from me

We’re sorry to hear you feel disappointed with your experience.

For clarity, your vehicle was tested on 29 November 2025 and failed on three items:

Horn not working

Offside rear fog lamp not working

Offside front suspension arm ball joint dust cover no longer preventing ingress of dirt

The horn and rear fog lamp are clear, objective MOT requirements set by DVSA and are not matters of opinion. If either is not functioning correctly at the time of test, the vehicle must fail.

There was also a defect recorded on the offside front ball joint dust cover, which had deteriorated to the point it no longer prevented dirt ingress. This is a safety-related component and again is assessed in line with DVSA MOT testing standards.

We did not carry out any repair work on your vehicle. The only charge made by us was £44.95 for the MOT test itself. The cost of repairs carried out elsewhere is entirely independent of our business and not something we have any control over.

Your vehicle was retested free of charge on 10 December 2025 and passed, with only minor/advisory items remaining.

All MOTs are conducted strictly to DVSA standards to ensure vehicles on the road meet required safety and environmental regulations. Our testers apply the same criteria to every vehicle and every customer.

A Very Painless Experience

The MOT and service were due on my car and my usual garage is miles away whereas Mr Tyre is literally 5 minutes from my house. I'd used them before for just for a tyre and the team there were really approachable and helpful (and didn't call me love or darling - always a bonus)!

MOT was completed and I received a call to let me know what needed doing (a lot less than I expected) and how much (again, less than I was expecting). Also had 2 new tyres fitted and the cost was less than quoted on their website.

Really decent team doing a great job - thank you.
