I visited branch in Glasgow for the first time with a friend. I had traveled from London and my friend from Largs.
We were disappointed that some of the dishes we wanted to order weren’t available eg Mogwli Chip butty amongst others.
We ordered drinks Irn Bru and San Pellegrino. A can of each drink was put on our table with a glass by a sullen staff member with no eye contact. Neither drink was poured into the glass. A can of Irn Bru costs £3 for something which costs 50p in a shop, I don’t see why pouring the drink in a glass for customers would be such a hardship. After all I am also being charged 10% service charge for the privilege of pouring our own drinks.
With our dishes we were not asked if we wanted “breads” with it, ie puri or roti, so I had to call the waiter back to order this. By the way they don’t offer nan bread but inexplicably do curry in a loaf of white bread called Holy cow (which was tasteless and I don’t understand the concept).
During the meal we were brought a food dish we hadn’t ordered. I refused it. I then asked the member of staff who took our order who said that the food item may have been “mentioned” but not ordered… I’m not even sure what this means. Neither of us had mentioned that particular food.
We were disappointed with some of the dishes, needless to say paying £60 for a lunch for two left much to be desired.
I gave feedback to the company but their “Experience Assistant” seems to think pouring drinks is not “their style”. They were less than helpful, apologised but offered no recompense, After some back and forth I then insisted that they return the service charge (which had already been added to the bill) and I hadn’t wanted to quibble while meeting a good friend after a long time. Needless to say we won’t ever be returning and disappointed with the overpriced foods, it’s Glasgow not London..

I have been planning to go to Mowgli’s for some time as it looks great on paper although I am always hesitant about going to any food chain because the standards are never the same as going to an independent eatery and guess what? I was right!

The food was terrible!! Everything was dry like it had been pre cooked and then reheated. The orders came out faster than it could have been cooked from fresh which is never a good sign anyway but the quality and standard of food was simply awful to the point my kids ate so little I had to get them a McDonald’s on the way home which I wasn’t happy about doing as the point of eating here was to avoid fast food.

Absolutely awful, will not recommend and certainly will not go back and this experience has reconfirmed my fears about eating in a chain restaurant as in the quality and standards just disappear.

Poor service, average food, underwhelming experience and not good value for money.
Visited the Preston branch for our 4th Wedding Anniversary and was one of the most disappointing experiences I suffered in 2022 will not be returning. Made a complaint and was offered a round of drinks if I returned, I have declined the offer.

Me and my friend went for dinner at the Manchester branch last weekend, my friend ordered the monkey wrap, when she cut into the chicken she noticed it was pink and clearly undercooked, we spoke to a member of staff and we were just told that it is cooked properly without even examining the food, the member of staff then went over to all of her collegues and they were all heard talking about us and then all gave us a dirty look. After noticing the uncooked chicken we both immediately stopped eating our dinner and then asked for the bill, the member of staff assured us she would go and get it printed right then for us, an hour went by and we were still sat waiting for the bill trying to get any staff members attention but we were just being ignored and all the members of staff were stood talking whilst it was only the two of us in the restaurant, after over an hour of waiting for the bill we stood up to go to the desk to speak to the manager about the wait time for the bill and the worker who has told us over an hour ago came over and acted surprised when we said we still hadn’t received the bill.

We asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill as neither of us were happy with the customer service aswell as the uncooked chicken, the member of staff assured us that she had removed the service charge however I was still charged for it.

My friend then began throwing up for 3 days afterwards and discovered she had food poisoning from the uncooked chicken, when we reported all of this to Mowgli head office they did not care or even apologies.

Mario from the Cheltenham branch was so amazing and gave us excellent service! The Cheltenham mowgli is lush!

Absolutely amazing food could not recommend this place enough. Not to expensive and staff are very friendly & attentive

Went to the Birmingham restaurant , great service and lovely food

I was taken to the Glasgow restaurant for my birthday and found it really quite disappointing. When we arrived it was either a swinging rope chair or a table right at the door. As I'm 50 and not 5 we had to opt for the table right at the entrance so not a great start. The place was full and noisy but actually lacking in atmosphere, we had never been before but nobody asked us that nor explained the menu as a result I under ordered not realising it was one of those places you had to order multiple tiny bowls before you got anything approaching a meal but in a way I'm glad for what did arrive was actually overly salty and I only took a couple of forks and left most of the bowl.

Really awful, food arrived as and when which would work if the rice arrived first. The four of us had one dish by one. The food was luke warm mostly, just nothing special at all.
To top it off they add the Tip to the bill which I paid, I didnt think to check whether they had added this on.
Very expensive utter waste of money

I’m aways wanting to go back for more! The atmosphere of the restaurants is spot on! I also bought the cook book!

I’ve visited mowgli in Leeds 2/3 times now and every experience has been exceptional! The food is amazing and not overpriced. The staff are very attentive and welcoming always having smiles on their faces and having a joke with us. The actual place itself is aesthetically pleasing and the atmosphere is just amazing!! One of my favourite Leeds restaurants. I’m always recommending to friends and family!

The meat portions in the curry was small only three small pieces and not even breast meat so will not be going again or recommending to my friends and family.
