I do not recommend CVH clinics...
I do not recommend CVH clinics as they bill you even if you have 100% insurance coverage. I went with my wife and child to get a tuberculosis test. They said it would cost $80 for my wife and $80 for my child, and insurance would cover everything. After my wife had her blood drawn, they referred my child to another clinic for the same test (costing $380, fully covered by insurance) because they didn’t have a fine pediatric needle, yet they still charged $80 for my child’s visit. However, the doctor told us that everything would cost $160.
Three weeks later, I received a notice that I still had to pay an additional $44 each for my wife and child because the initial $80 was just for the visit, and there was an additional $80 charge per person, half of which was covered by insurance. In total, insurance was billed $620, and I was billed $120. I do not recommend this network. In every other clinic, even dental, my insurance has always covered 100%, and I didn’t have to pay anything. We got my child’s vaccines at another clinic for $240, fully covered by insurance.
Unhappy Customer
I tried to make an appointment. You can't get an appointment till the following day till the mid afternoon.
This happened twice so I wound up in Urgent Care.
I tried calling your 866 customer service number and I was on hold for 45 minutes, the recording says please hold someone will get on the phone shortly.
This is not a good service.
My visit to the MinuteClinic in Mamaroneck NY
I went to the MinuteClinicthis past Friday afternoon for a clogged ear. The NP, Brenda, was very nice however she misdiagnosed me with an outer ear infection and fluid in my ear. She prescribed an antibiotic ear drop. After taking for 2 days with no relief, I called my ENT for an appt. The ENT said that I was misdiagnosed and did not have fluid or an outer ear infection. If you are not getting relief after diagnosis, see your doctor. Thank goodness I did because I’m traveling in a few days and was concerned about flying.
Terrible service - wish I could give a zero
My daughter had a persistent cough, sore throat with white patches, and a terrible headache. No tests were done, no bloodwork, no nothing. The NP (Amy Cutshall) diagnosed her with acid reflux and seasonal allergies. A day later, it hurt her to breathe, so I took her to the ER where she was diagnosed with both pneumonia and mono. Not only did we pay for the Minute Clinic visit, but now we'll pay for an ER visit. Incompetence at its finest.
The nurse was working by herself and…
The nurse was working by herself and apparently she’s frustrated. However, she treated me rudely and acted like a witch.. this is the CVS Pharmacy
2305 Highway 34 E Newnan, GA 30265. I came in to be seen for a urinary tract infection and I was very much in pain and she told me that she didn’t have any appointments available for that day, but “that if was in so much pain why didnt go to the emergency room? “I told her I am uninsured and emergency visits as we all know are $500 plus I told her forget it and I left. She was very rude and short with me.
Wrong diagnosis and no return calls to fix it
My husband was able to speak with a doctor right away virtually but she didn't ask enough questions to make a better diagnosis, which is a hindsight 20/20 situation for us. Nevertheless with symptoms of brown mucus, one would think antibiotics would be prescribed. Nope..I called 3 times after picking up the meds and left 3 messages to ask about prescribing antibiotics and there was no return call because you cannot reconnect with the tele-doctor. What she prescribed was for the flu. Needless to say it didn't work. We also went in to the minute clinic to talk about the matter of mucus being brown and not feeling any stronger and they said that they could not do anything unless we paid again to see what was going in. It was just a day later. We found out 3 doctors and 3 copays later it was PNEUMONIA in the ER.
Too Much Misinformation
I would not recommend anyone deal with this company. Too much misinformation given by CVS website, Pharmacist and Minute Clinic practitioner(in person). If I’m told a Covid test is free by a pharmacist and a practitioner but still receive a bill there is a disconnect. If Minute Clinic knows there is an internal issue meaning I was told by a representative of MinuteClinic when I called to complain and get clarity, why is it continuously happening? Apologizing over and over does not negate the fact that I was given the wrong information and still liable for a bill. The manager (Kevin +1 (267) 573-1804 Yardley Pa) didn’t even take the time to say “let me speak with my manager to see what we can do to resolve this issue that would appease us both”. Totally disappointed with the outcome. But now I know to never return nor suggest family or friends visit MinuteClinic.

Urgent Care is MUCH less expensive!
I thought I was doing good by going to Minute Clinic instead of Urgent Care for a respiratory issue. They took my insurance info and scanned my card while I was there. The next week I got a bill for $254! They had not billed my insurance and the office visit was $184. I can go to Urgent Care for $75 a visit! I had to call and give them my insurance info a second time and they said it would be 6+ weeks for them to rebill and "see" if I would get a refund on my credit card. Also, instead of calling me when they corrected their error they want me to call back to check on the refund in 6 weeks. So disappointing.
Cost of visit for Covid test & Shingles vacc.
Billed charges for a Covid test, lab-pathology/results of test, and Shingles vaccination in June 2024: $584.00 with member discounts $234, resulted in $350 billed to my insurance. Physician pleasant, appointment was quickly available and punctual.
Reimbursement?? Maybe if I could reach someone!
Took my daughter for a TB shot for school and was told it was n/c since it was covered by our insurance. She went back 2 days later for the results and was charged $25.72 even though Aetna was paying and was told we would get reimbursed on our card once Aetna pays. Aetna paid Minute Clinic$18 on 7/26 and we were never reimbursed. This is the 3rd day I have been on hold trying to reach Minute Clinic with no one picking up. Right now I have been on hold 1 hour, 48 minutes and still holding!!! Ridiculous!! Would never go back here.
I am a member and every time I want to…
I am a member and every time I want to use their virtual care service I have to fill out all the information as if I was a new customer absolutely ridiculous. They asked me which pharmacy I want to use put it down when you speak to the provider they say, what do you want your prescriptions to go? Incompetence then these nurses that you get for the virtual care they make a project out of nothing once in a while. I’m lucky I get a doctor the doctor 123. No games no nonsense. The nurses wanna make a big production.
Stay Away from Minute Clinics
Had a visit to Minute Clinic, provided my insurance details which they billed and before I left charged my credit card as well. Found out that the amount I was responsible for was much less than what they charged my credit card. I’ve tried calling Minute Clinic on two separate occasions, first time on hold for over 1.5 hours and the second time for over an hour. Feed up and going to report this to my insurance company and since I believe this is fraudulent on their part, I will be submitting a complaint to my state attorney generals office.
Dont get a sports physical here . . . . .
I scheduled an appointment a week or so ago for a sports physical and I woke up the morning of to a text message saying my visit had been cancelled, with no other explanation. I rebooked and showed up today and the doctor told me he could not check the "cleared" box because I needed an EKG because of my age (im 56) and they didnt have that equipment on site. This same doctor checked the "cleared" box for my sports physical last year. Im totally at a loss.
Great Experience!
I have never had a better experience than when I visited the Minute Clinic at Broward Blvd. and Nob Hill Road. Efficient, friendly, professional. Listen to my problems, analyzed my symptoms and made a great diagnosis. Felt much better in a few days. I couldn't have asked for more! Highly recommend this location and especially Vanessa!
Avoid the CVS minute clinic
Ten days ago, I went to the CVS minute clinic, after making an appointment online and providing my insurance information, which should have made my visit free of charge. It is not possible to make an appointment without providing a credit card, which should not be necessary because my health insurance includes unlimited CVS Minute Clinic visits for free. Today, ten days later, in the morning, I got an email from CVS saying that I owe the full cost of the visit. On the bill, they provide a number to call if one has questions, but this number just puts you on hold forever. I have been on hold for 5 hours now, and counting. I called the store, where a machine redirects me to the same number. There is no way to call the minute clinic at the store--all is handled online. I went to my insurance provider's portal, to see if a claim had been made for the service, but there is no claim. Without a claim, my insurance will not reimburse me. CVS has erroneously billed, and then charged my credit card, on the same day, and there is no one to contact for help with this.
cvs-dot-com/minuteclinic does not have a "contact us" link, not even a "messages"or "comments" link. Communication is completely one-way, you can use their site, but there is no way to provide feedback.
I feel I am living in "The Matrix". What can I do?
I tried to set up an appointment
I tried to set up an appointment, but couldn't because they had my insurance incorrectly. I tried calling multiple times. The first time I was waiting to talk to someone for like 30 minutes, it went quiet like someone didn't connect correctly. I called again, this time waiting 1 hour and the same thing happened. There is no email service. I didn't actually use them, but it seems this may have been for a good reason.
These people are terrible
These people are terrible! I work in the medical field and my company told me I had to have my physical done by the next day or I wouldn't be able to work so I would typically use my family doctor, but didn't have much time (looking back, should have just taken the free vacation) and chose to use CVS Minuteclinic. The woman tells me insurance doesn't cover the physical and that she won't do my physical because according to my paperwork (conveniently had another patient sitting outside), she cannot do it until after the PPD is read...The same paperwork I have used from the company for 6 years and never had an issue with my primary care doctor. Second visit, there is a different NP who cannot locate any of my paperwork, literally had to email my boss while I was there, send it to her email and have a new one printed and then she was unsure of what the other NP had done so I was billed in full for the PPD as well. Today, I receive a bill for $27.07, the remainder of what insurance did not pay for the PPD. I call the customer service and they're telling me any trip to a minuteclinic is considered billable and that my second visit should have been submitted to insurance and that the first visit is separate. There was no need to have a second visit in the first place, other than to have the PPD read, which, anyone in the medical field knows how long that takes, lol. This service is a complete joke, unprofessional, unorganized and a disgrace to healthcare in general.
FRADULENT FREE SERVICE OFFER
Received email invitation for FREE Women's Heart Health Screening in February. NP could not find a code to bill the 20 min screening, and had to collect my Insurance info. Later told that CVS IT "had sent the email invitation out in error." I received a Bill after insurance coverages denied the screening. I contested on phone and in emails to Minit Clinic, 3 times. Ended up in Debt Collections, and I finally capitulated and paid for what was fraudulently presented to me as a FREE service, just to protect my credit. NEVER EVER AGAIN, CVS!!!!!
Terrible billing practices
I went to the Glendora Minute Clinic in November. They sent me a bill, I paid it, they canceled the check a month ago. Since then I have received text messages, emails, phone calls and bills in the mail. I keep telling them that they cashed my check on April 24th and they just keep sending me bills. I strongly advise against ever using the Minute Clinic. Go to an urgent care instead.
