Went into the shop with no clue of the item I needed just instructions from my stroppy teenage son, immediately the staff knew what I was talking about and we're very helpful telling the best way to use the product also if I got another item I got it half price .Wish all shop assistants were as welcoming and as helpful as the staff in the Middleborough store 👌👌

Served by Jack - helpful and friendly but not over familiar - all” good - greeted me and then I browsed - asked questions about sidings for Brasher - he was helpful and then he served me at till and I asked about another product and he explained and offered alternative which I then bought too - all of which I was happy with

Great store, fantastic collection and good quality stuff .. James in particular was very helpful and always smiling … strongly recommend the place

Had a long list of things I needed for upcoming trip, Jonny helped me from the moment I entered the shop. He found everything I needed and advised on what was best and gave me some good tips. The items I purchased are great quality and amazing price. Everything after first purchase was half price. So nice being able to go into a shop and have the support rather the headache of trailing the Internet. I will definitely use Millets again

Upon entering i was met by a group of distinguished gentleman, one had blue hair which was marvellous. Served by Sam, his hair cut wasn’t fully finished. Purchased a first aid kit.

The simple things matter...

Popped in for a simple return and received some top advice from Jack about footwear. He was really honest and detailed with his feedback, and acknowledged what my walking activity would be.

The store was tidy, well organised and clean. Me and other customers were well looked after. Well done Jack and the team. See you soon for more purchases.

My husband and I called into the Middlesbrough branch Saturday 18/2/23 to look at rucksacks. Johnny gave sound advice in making an appropriate choice and offered assistance regarding the optimum way to go about fastening/positioning straps for maximum comfort. His helpful friendly approach instilled confidence to make further purchases (including socks, gilet, hats, hand warmers, tops, water reservoirs…to name some) as we felt we were in knowledgeable hands to guide us in making suitable choices for our requirements. In fact, Johnny offered to fit a water reservoir into the rucksack and demonstrated how to go about it for future reference. Johnny’s assistant, Jack, was also really helpful and willing; he checked stock a number of times for colours/sizes not on the stock floor, which necessitated climbing stairs a number of times. The boys also provided water for our little dog, which enhanced our experience no end. Johnny and Jack offered various tips and tricks, including how to fold up a down jacket in the absence of a stuff sack. I am inclined to leave a shop where a hard sell is the ‘Modus Operandi’…this did not apply to either Johnny or Jack, as their enthusiasm and expertise was genuine, resulting in us purchasing more far more items than intended. In conclusion, we enjoyed a great shopping experience…although we spent so much more than intended, we have no regrets as we feel the advice provided helped us make sound choices. 🤞such valuable members of staff are around for a long to come! Returned an Osprey hydraulics water bladder that I have had for over a year, started leaking, took it to millets and Jonny sorted an exchange out straight away. Due to not stocking them, he ordered it online and it came the next day to my home address.

Saw walking sandals online and rang Middlesbrough branch to check if in stock - went in next day and Jonny remembered call and soon had the sandals out from stock room which I bought, fast and friendly service

I popped into the Middlesbrough store today to see if they had any warm hats as it was baltic today. I popped in and saw a lovely beanie that was on sale. I was served by Jonny who was very helpful and friendly. I noticed post sale that I appeared to have been charged more than the display price. I asked Jonny about this and like a flash he confirmed the correct price and refunded me the difference. He made the experience really pleasant and I appreciated it. Thanks Jonny.
