I thought their service was great initially. I purchased a kiln for £840, the first one arrived damaged the door wouldnt shut and it was really cracked. They sent another one out and collected the first. The second one arrived, again badly cracked but I was assured it was OK. I have used this about a dozen times the first few firings were OK. I used full fuse on my glass work, tack fuse and slump firing schedules. All are compliant with the glass I use, I have noticed that randomly the temperatures drop it might take 3 firings on the same schedule to find this out. There is no pattern to it. The kiln is not used with an extension the workshop was wired by a qualified electrician. A friend tested their kiln in my workshop ...all fired as per usual. Its still in warranty. I dont have any faith in these kilns anymore, infact due to the random issued I dont want to use it. So, I have almost a thousand pounds worth of kiln that doesnt fire properly that I cannot and will not use. They refuse a refund. Pretty poor service. Not just one Prometheus kiln that was faulty from them, but two.
Personally, if you were thinking of buying a kiln from them, I wouldnt bother!

Metal Clay have been excellent for my journey as a tutor in silver clay. I can order my metal clay and other resources and they are with me within a couple of days. I also get tutor rate silver clay and my students get a discount off their first 3 orders of clay.

What a great experience, I ordered the deluxe kit with a few extra bits. I received my kit and a few small gems I had ordered were not sent. A quick call and follow up email and my gems were sent and arrived the next day. I have to say it impressed me how fast the issue was resolved. Pleasantly surprised with metal clay, I've found them the best place for more costly machines, as their price points are fair, the service far exceeds a well known essex based "B2B" outlet and unlike others, relatively plastic free/minimal plastic.

Super-impressed with the service from Metal Clay, ordered deluxe starter kit at lunch time yesterday thinking I needed to calm my excitement for 2-3 days and it arrived at 10:00 this morning!!! So excited to get started! Highly recommend! They do some great accessories too 😁👍👌

I've been a customer of Metal Clay LTD for about 11 months. I bought their silver clay starter kit a few days after taking a local introduction to metal clay course. It had absolutely everything I needed to jump into my new hobby.

Since then, I've ordered something from them almost every month, including my first kiln a few months ago. Every order had come quickly and been exactly as described. I have also contacted them with questions about how to use their products and have received quick and helpful responses.

Their selection of products is really impressive, and their prices are very competitive- especially for such a small, niche business! I've built quite a loyalty from them (unusual for a millennial like me!) and won't purchase anything elsewhere that I can get from them!

Highly recommended- if you're starting with metal clay jewellery making, this is the place to buy all of your supplies.

I contacted Metal Clay limited via email because I had a number of questions relating to metal clay techniques and what items to buy for a complete beginner. The company responded immediately, giving detailed information and links to videos to help me. When I came to ask questions about what to buy, the company did not recommend the most expensive item they had within the category of what I wanted to buy, they recommend the most useful, with information that justified their recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised by what they said and ordered items based on their advice.

The items I ordered arrived on time (I live in Spain) and are exactly what I ordered and of good quality.

I cannot recommend this company enough. They have one of the best customer service departments I have come across for any company, with very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I look forward to placing more orders with them in the future.

Absolutely shocking customer service!! Paid for next day delivery service that lied about trying to deliver so rang metal clay and their response was to pass the buck into the courier service and told me the customer that I HAD to deal with them directly to get this resolved. I paid my money to metalclay surely it's their responsability to ensure their customer recieves there order. Shocking customer service.

I have received 2 orders now from Metal Clay. Both of them delivered correctly and in time. However I have a problem with the Alumilite green dye. I have sent an email on sept 7th and got a first reaction to send some pictures. This is what I have done on sep 9th. After that, no reaction anymore from Metal Clay. I emailed again on oct 14 and sep 13th. Again no reaction. So it is nice to make money by selling products, but at the moment there is a technical problem I am getting zero reaction...

2019-02-15 And now I have received the anwer below. It is not even possible to loose the emails, because I was having a personal discussion with one of your colleagues. I use several differen emailadresses... It is just that. The feedback that I have given is completely ignored. So I just do not believe the anser that is given now.

I have only good things to say about Metal Clay Ltd, I have found their service to be excellent they have a fantastic range of products for metal clay and more, their postal charges are very reasonable and speedy and if you order enough, they are free. They go out of their way to help if help is needed, I have asked many questions in the past and they always respond quickly with helpful answers. In regard to leaving reviews about products, I have left quite a few, so far always favourable as they tend to stock very good products and I have noticed when reading reviews which I often do they put up the good the bad and the ugly reviews on their site, the checking of reviews before they post them I think is standard for most companies, certainly companies like Amazon and eBay do this, presumably to check it is fit for purpose so I am surprised other reviewers think this is a ploy of some sort??

When writing a review on the page (after getting a mail asking to do so) the review is not directly posted but the message posted: "Your review was saved and is pending approval." Which means that the page can just weed out the ones that isn't 5 star reviews.

The products I have bought, and used so far are good/allright (I have yet to use more than half the products) and the shipping and payment went really well, so that whole part of the store is a 5/5 but the review system really pulls down.
