SCAM ! DO NOT INTERACT DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING ! SCAM ! The operators mumble a BS story about credit scores, ask you to approve a debi-check account, this creates a mandated debit order WHICH CAN NOT BE REVERSED UNTILL THEY - THE SCAMMERS - IN WRITING CONFIRM THE CONFIRMATION TO END THE DEBIT ORDER.

Maxlaw is the biggest scamming company of all times. They target desperate people who are overwhelmed in debt, promising to help them with debt review at a 1 time admission fee. They promised communication at all times and are consistent before payment. Once you've made the payment they disappear with your funds, don't return calls or emails. They are the biggest money making scam I've ever seen and I'm a recent victim of their crime.

Hey , need beware of this company. They might not be frauds or scamers. But they call me for loan approval and never said what you going to pay to get it. Please do not do mandate. I didn't even no when it will go off or what the prices are. I have call them ask why there is debit of 760 on my account they say is for the approval of the loan, ask a refund say there was no price mentioned. Friday I got sms that state there more payment to be debited and that it's cancelled and no refund is done as well. Never have I encountered any bull like this that have pay 760 to get approval for loan. Just think how much they make just to lie and you will never get the loan but you pay 760 , beware I am closing my account tomorrow. When look at there page they say they 4.71 good rate wich is big fat lie to, they have 2.2 bad rate yes... liers!!

This is one of the most scaming companies.Im still struggling with the debit order cancelation. They told me that they will send an sms to my phone number but still. No response.The phone lines don't work.

I spoke to the consultants and they rushed the process, it seemed as if they were scamming me furthermore I specifically told them not to debit me at the end of September and they did that shamelessly. I want my money back.

They have not contacted me as promised. There debit orders keep on going of . They don't return any mail and also don't answer any fone calls. This company is a disgrace

Money was deducted from my bank account but I didn't not apply for the service. Tried to call to no avail.

Canceled everything the same day still debit orders go off!! This is a fraud and scam. Never heard back from them. Ignore me the second they got a approved debit check! Ensured me no money will go off till application is completed

I didn't receive money from maxlaw and today they deducted R810 from my account what can I do?

The company is very bad ,they scammed me 5170,they first deducted R85 in may and another R85 in June ,they deducted R2500 in July and another R2500 was deducted 26 August R2500 ,the worst thing i never authorised any deduction of R2500.
I have been calling them and emailing them no response.When i got them on the phone they keep promising to call me back but they never come back to me.It has been a week trying to get a refund frpm MAXLAW but the staff there keep making fun of me by giving different people to act like they want to help but till today i never recieved my money but im not giving up ,i will use any channel to make sure i get my money back and expose this SCAMMERS.
They take advatage pf people who needs help.

R760 (exactly the same amount other reviewers are mentioning was debited from their account without their permission, very very STRANGE!!!!) was debited from my account on 25th August 2026 without my consent!!!!

My Capitec App shows I accepted a "DebiCheck" (not that I recall, I have never heard of "Maxlaw"!!!).

I phoned Capitec, they cannot help get the money back or stop the Debit order from going off in the future months!!! Because apparently I accepted the "DebiCheck".

I tried 3 times to contact them via phone, but once I get to being 1st in the queue, the phone cuts.

I sent a " Call-back" request via their platform, no-one called to date!!!!

I also sent an e-mail to "Meagan" and another to "Loius" with no response!!!!

My next step is to go to their HO tomorrow and see what they have to say!!!!

How can these people take money out of my account without my permission and you cannot get a hold of them on emails or phone, just a couple of frauds.

I am extremely unhappy with Max Law. I was rushed on a phone call after looking into loan options, and shortly after, an unexpected debit order was taken from my bank account without a clear mandate or proper authorization. Customer service has been unhelpful and aggressive. I would strongly advise others to stay away from this company.

Took money out of bank without my consent now no response from them to claim money back

They debited my money and I it want back i didn't agree on anything with them I want my 760 back

MAXLAW You do debit orders even when I cancelled, I cancelled the same day they called when I realised they made me approve to a debit order, no money was communicated, I cancelled
I canceled the debit order but it still withdrew, why? , I cancelled the service but it still withdrew it , I want the money bank, I cancelled it why did it take the money anyways, you don't mention money and tell us to approve things we don't know of. Tell me why they still withdrew from my account I didn't even use their services, so so unfair, I want my money back

I was contacted under what appeared to be false pretences, with consultants allegedly referencing external companies and matters that had nothing to do with the actual service they intended to sell. During the conversation, banking details were requested without a clear, transparent explanation of the service, costs, contractual obligations, or debit order mandate being created.

This raises serious concerns regarding deceptive marketing practices, lack of informed consent, and potential violations of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) and POPIA.

This company is a scam, they lure desperate job seekers and tell them that they have 10 days to make 15 sales otherwise they will be terminated and you do not even receive compensation for the sales that you managed to close. If you don’t make 40 sales in a month you don’t get your basic salary. They lie and cheat their way through both their employees and clients and make them believe that they are assisting indebted individuals whereas they are not even getting help even though their accounts are being debited. They are always hiring people because they know many of them become aware of their malicious intentions. If you got an interview or job offer at this place ( Lynwood, Centurion or KwaZulu-Natal), RUN. It is not worth it and you will be an accomplice to their schemes when the law catches up to them .
