Marqvision filed a counterfeit complaint (ID: 20421266391) against our Amazon seller account for a hometown souvenir hat for a small town in Texas. The town name on our product refers exclusively to a geographic location, not any brand or trademark. There is no brand logo, no iconic imagery, no commercial symbols of any kind on the product.

At Merch Town, we have been producing legitimate souvenir and personalized merchandise since 2019 and are a recognized leader in this space with millions of products, including hats, t-shirts and sweaters, across major marketplaces.

The complaint was filed without any apparent human review of the listing content, which clearly and repeatedly identifies the product as a Texas town souvenir. The "counterfeit without test buy" classification on our Amazon account is severely damaging and entirely unwarranted.

We reached out to Marqvision directly using the contact provided in the complaint notice to request a retraction and have received no response.

This matches a clear pattern visible in other reviews here: AI fires complaints indiscriminately, no human reviews the output, and when sellers reach out to dispute false positives they are met with complete silence.

Zero accountability. Zero human review. Zero recourse.

If you sell online, be warned: automated enforcement systems like Marqvision will flag your listings based on keyword matching alone with no regard for context, product type, or actual trademark use.

Other legitimate sellers including authorized retailers have reported the exact same experience.

And when they get it wrong, they go silent.

This company does not care about laws or about honesty. They claim to eBay/eBay that items are copyright when they are not and then ignore correspondence, resulting in bankruptcy.

This company is a scam. Their AI runs wild, providing false reports. I contacted them numerous times and have yet to receive a response.

My experience as an authorized Mattel retailer was perfectly smooth — until this so-called “trademark management firm” decided to let artificial intelligence run wild. Their system now enforces trademark “compliance” without even understanding who the real license holders are.

They never bothered to contact companies like Bendon Inc., who have been paying royalties to Mattel since before the firm’s owner probably finished high school. Instead, they blanket-enforce nonsense that disrupts legitimate business operations and damages trusted retail partnerships.

If this is their idea of “brand protection,” it’s really just brand confusion wrapped in arrogance and automation.

Man I paid for their service but never got anything!!!! I reached out multiple times but never got an email back!!!! BEAWARE, this is not a serious company, big SCAM! I hope to make other companies aware so they won't get scammed like we did!!!

I signed up with MarqVision and made a payment expecting their brand protection services to begin as described. Unfortunately, after the payment was processed, I received no updates or deliverables. I tried contacting their support several times but didn’t get a satisfactory response or any service rendered. I’m very disappointed with the experience and needed to go through legals to get a refund
