It's been months
I've bought from this company in the past and I was always happy with the product. Unfortunately this time it's wild how poorly I've been treated. I ordered 2 dresses in March 2025, they were having a sample sale so I bought one from the sale because it was already made in my size and another that was very similar, but made to order. It was taking longer than usual so I reached out April 22nd. I was told that they would ship out my dresses in a 1.5 weeks.
-2.5 weeks passed (May 7th) with no communication, so I followed up. They apologized and said they were sorry, that they were behind in sewing, but they'll send the dresses out in the next few days.
-May 25th, no communication and the event I needed the dresses for happened. I follow up again. They said one was done (which yeah... it was from your sample sale?) and they were just working on the other one. She offered to ship them separately but there was also a concern about the Postal strike in Canada. I initially said wait for the strike, but then with no response from Magdelna (I had been the one following up this whole time) I followed up again June 13th to ask her to ship them out as soon as possible because Canada Post was still working, and there was a fear that they could go on strike at any moment.
-No response
- June 24th, I follow up again, I'm getting worried and I ask for a refund. I still love the dresses but at this point I would rather the refund since they're too busy to fulfill my order, and I don't want to feel too sour about the experience
-Magdalena responds saying that one dress is already made and they're still working on the other dress, which is the same thing she said in May. She said she'll try to figure out a way to compensate me for shipment... this didn't make any sense to me. I expressed my frustration, she apologized and said they would be finished shortly.
-July 5th, still nothing. I beg for a refund and the order still hasn't shipped. She refuses to give me a refund because the size of the dresses are uncommon and since one is a sale dress they won't be able to resell them. She says the cannot afford to refund a dress after production. She says if they do not ship that week she will refund me, I'm sent tracking information for one dress the next day. She offers a free dress with no direction on what dresses I can choose.
-August 2nd, I point out that there is still no movement in the tracking and no communication about the free dress. I just want a refund. She blames me for not picking out this "free dress" and says she'll reach out to the shipping company to find out where the one dress is. And she doesn't know why there's no tracking for the other dress. I continue to ask for a refund.
-August 6th, no follow up, no refund, no dress, no tracking information. She repeats they're not a big company and they're working night and day to follow up on emails. I tell Magdalena that I'm so frustrated and all of this could have been avoided if she refunded me when I first asked instead of shipping the dresses separately.
-August 8th I tell her I'm reporting her website.
**** Update
-After she has seen the review on trust pilot, for some reason she's surprised even though I told her, word for word, what I was going to post. She decides to refund me and tells me to keep the dresses and donate them if/when they arrive.
- There were complications with the refund, eventually she pushed it through and I received the refund.
-August 29th the first dress I told her to not bother sending arrives. 166 days after purchase.It's sitting in my kitchen.
-August 30th, Magda messages me to say she knows I have the dress, and that when the other arrives to let her know so she can send a return label. I'm confused so I send her a screenshot of her last email and nothing else.
-She said she's changed her mind and that if I didn't write this review she would have told me to keep it.
-I said "Ummm what? Re read your own email"... because she contradicts herself and skus the timeline.
I will say - She is accusing me of trying to destroy a small business, and i can see why she would say that. I have ordered dresses from this company in the past and it was fine. It was slow fashion but I still got the dresses within a month or 2. I've worn one of her dresses in a photoshoot. I've recommended this company to stylists and photographers. After corresponding with Magalena for the last few months it's clear that there is a shift in their operation causing them to not being able to fulfill orders efficiently, and tell me, as the customer that the order will ship and then it doesn't. Magdalena is an amazing designer, but it's clear that customer service isn't her strong point.
****ANOTHER UPDATE
-She send an email telling me she never said I could keep the dresses, and donate them. I reread my review, and that's basically what i said. 2nd dress not here 182 days later.
