Last week, I bought a solid oak bed from Maison du Monde.
I set it up, but noticed it only had 3 wooden slats to hold the mattress. Even with my firm matress, the bed is very wobbly and simply unusable!
I've had to buy additional slats at my own expense and set them up myself, which took hours..
They could've simply provided a slats linked together by strings but they chose to save a few pounds instead.
I would therefore not recommend nor ever buy things from them again!

Delivered quickly - the only reason it’s not 5 stars is that it is quite expensive. Looks good though. Would have had 2 if they were cheaper.

We have just unpacked and installed the vanity unit for our bathroom and i must say we are very disappointed with the quality of the product, the jointing and jarring of woodwork hinges and doors is appaling. Our joiner spent 2 hours trying to adjut the hinges but has said the product is simply too poor a quality product for him to be able to fix it.

Tried reaching out to Maison via email, got an auto response which re directs you somewhere that doesnt seem to allow you to email anyone and attach photos and videos of the poor quality products, sent a facebook message of the product issues also and havent heard back to either.

Spent almost £1k on a vanity unit and the doors dont close properly and its just appalling quality. Really unhappy with the product.

Its a shame because their furniture looks great online but when they arrive damaged (and they do) the customer service provided afterwards is awful.

The call centre is in France and so they struggle to take UK addresses. I had two damaged sideboards. I asked for exchanges. Nothing difficult, yet I had to call Maison du Monde around 15 times to get this resolved. They kept sending the courier to the wrong address, taking the address down incorrectly and they would never let me speak to a manager to escalate a complaint.

The packaging is always dirty and damaged, I have a suspicion they then sell the damaged pieces to the next client hoping they won't notice.

Delivered on time, easy to follow instructions for assembly and great and stylish product.
Very pleased with it and is a good value for money.

Ordered a marble table from Maisons du Monde, delivered by Panther. The table was very well packaged however upon opening the marble was cracked all the way through. Re ordered the table and identical problem. Despite writing a comment on the delivery instructions and calling Panther directly to warn them that the table was both heavy and fragile AND prewarning the actual delivery man 30 mins before arrival, the table was cracked in 2 places all the way through. Panther accept no responsibility for this. Maisons Du Monde must be losing money hand over fist. Change your delivery company MDM!!!

Poor delivery and packaging. First item was damaged. Replacement was damaged. Not worth the money. Will not be using this company again. Annoyingly you cannot email them, you have to call.

I will NEVER buy anything from this compnay. Quality is garbage and their customer support is terrible.

My display cabinet not only arrived a month late but it arrived broken (one of the doors doesnt open and the bottom is chipped).

The delivery company brought it up, quickly took the cardboard box surrounding it and left. I then realised it was broken. Maisons du monde is forcing me to figure out by myself how to cover this heavy and large piece of furniture and refusing to pick it up. I have spent MONTHS on the phone with no support at all. I have now said I will figure out a way and buy cardboard boxes to make one huge cardboard box (this should NOT be what I have to do) but I still dont get the delivery company to call me. I want my money back obviously because I spent over 1k and also its the principle. Thieves!

First time buying from this company. Chest of drawers arrived damaged. Whilst the company has been quick to book in a delivery of a replacement product, I've been stuck with the damaged stock for a week & have requested twice it be uplifted & have heard nothing back. Wouldn't buy from them again. Please get back to me re.uplift asap. CRM:000223398

I placed an order a month ago today with three items, of which I only received one. I had to call customer services several times for order updates because I had not received their emails. Today I called again, only fo them to confirm that they don't stock and that I have to wait 14 days for a refund because that is the process. Every time the CS covers their back, saying that they have sent emails. MDM, you can't make customers accountable for not receiving your email. You need to check your process and ensure your emails are being delivered to your clients. I am incredibly disappointed with the service.

After putting the comment here, they contacted me the next day offering me the option to cancel my order and request a return with shipping costs included. I have had a bad experience with the delivery of my order but not with the management of the return. In two days they entered the amount of the purchase in my account.

Absolutely terrible customer service, it's like you're talking to a bot, when it's a person - not helpful at all. The added frustration is that items are often not in stock, this is what happened to the items I needed, and the rather expensive wardrobe just went up in price, and never goes on sale. I will persevere, maybe, and hope that things go smoothly when the items are finally back in stock.

I've ordered the side tables before for different rooms, they're good value, versatile. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars this time is the delivery company has changed and didn't update me. I was at work on the first delivery date, had to make a few phone calls including France. Luckily they delivered the next day.

Lovely jars, look expensive too.
Was kept up to date with delivery and arrived when they said it would and in perfect condition.
Would definitely use this site again.

The cupboard was delivered on time, it is lovely exactly what I wanted, I love it and wouldn’t hesitate to order from maison du monde again

I'd have to say firstly that I've always to date been really happy with my purchases from maison du monde. Their styles fit my home perfectly.
However I recently bought some of their Greta kitchen modules. Again super happy with the appearance but really upset about the stone worktops. Kitchen was fitted in July 2022 and already the worktop is a disaster. It marks with everything and now looks really terrible. I got in touch with with their customer service team. They requested photos and their conclusion was that it's normal wear and tear. Well not acceptable! I've had many different types of worktops over the years and have never seen anything like this. The stone has obviously not been sealed correctly . Their only advice being to reseal it. Not what I would expect from a kitchen of this price!I hope that you can offer me a better resolution.

Cabinet I ordered arrived faulty but there is no way to contact Maisons du Monde - no email address on their website and none of their phone lines are open when I call, despite this being during their advertised opening hours. I am confused how to proceed with my refund/replacement.
