Good Selection & Prices
Nice website, good UI, solid selection. They have a nice reward system also, and since most codes are for Steam, there's no reason not to buy from MGS instead and build up rewards. Check it out!

I had come here a couple years ago because bigfish was getting annoying with their app. I'm so glad I did... macgamestore's app is so much easier, cleaner, relevant even to new macOS! they seem to pay attention to macs, which is why ive grown to love em!
they also carries so many fun titles, not just the hidden objects! so, yeah .... I need to get my mac friends over cause they are always grumbling about bigfish lol

Thank you in kind. We try to help as best we can :-) For other readers of this review, know that is a Mac specific order number, and not a steam key to use.
Pretty good
I got a bunch of cities skylines dlcs off this site a while ago and had 0 issues. They all worked on mac even after i changed macs. They were all cheap too. The steam key format really helps me and it allows my games to be in one place and it is a trusted source which makes me trust this website for its keys.
I also bought Subnautica and it worked fine, even for windows.
A few days ago i bought Surviving Mars which for some weird reason doesnt work on mac Ventura. It was annoying since it wasnt mentioned anywhere and i had already redeemer the key. I contacted support and they didnt have any way of getting it working, but they were able to offer me a full refund in wallet credit and i think that is a pretty big plus because they cant get their key back now but i still got refunded. I dont know why there are so many bad review but that isnt stopping me from continuing to use this site in the future whenever i need to buy steam games.

Thank you for the honest review! Its a shame Surviving Mars doesn't work on Ventura though. We were happy to have helped you out with the refund. Don't worry about the key, publishers understand this happens from time to time.

All of the games on MacGame store are crap. They’re either war games with incredible noise and way too much screen agitation, or they’re for children with artwork so bad it’s unbelievable. There’s no pleasant games to relax with; word games, etc. It’s all crap. It’s gender oppressive, age oppressive, and a total rip off. It contributes nothing good to anybody and quite a bit of violence and stupidity that’s destructive.

We carry thousands of casual games, puzzle games, kids games, and educational titles as well as the more popular titles. Everything from independent to AAA.
That's why we try to encourage everybody who's into gaming to try their hand at development. Apple offers many tools to help Mac Users create new apps. You should give it a try or at least encourage your friends and family to try it if they're so inclined. The more people making games, the better for all of us.
However we are simply a store that sells the games made, and offered by the developers. Just like any other game store.

Wonderful site
Have used the site for many years, and have never had any issues, and have bought MANY Mac games there. They continuously update their client also, which is a good thing! And their support is always responsive, at least the few times I've had a need for it.
My only thing to whine about is that they closed their forums a few years back.. :(

We do apologize about discontinuing the forum (it used an old 3rd party system, and was underwhelming). We replaced it with a Discord server! Not exactly the same, but Discord has extras and is more modern and kept up to date.

ive been a user of macgamestore for years now, and have spent way too much lol. i enjoy the app, keeps all my games in one place... only had one bug but they fixed it. i know they dont make the games they sell, so bugs in games arnt their problem but they have tried to help resolve some of my issues when i was updating my mac. i blame apple more for that fiasco! macgamestore has always had my back

Have bought 3 games from them in the past. Keys came through within minutes. I had an issue with one of the orders (I made a mistake) I emailed support and they replied and resolved the issue within a few hours. Things must have changed since the other reviews on here do not reflect the experience I had. Two thumbs up.

Some purchases in the past had to go through some extra checks and balances due to the fraud protection services utilized. Those would end up putting an order on hold while a staff member looked into it and processed the order. Not a common occurrence, and we are sorry about the delay you had.
Completed purchase with no product.
Purchased a title with Steam DRM. After hours of waiting. I was updated that the purchase was completed. My profile however does not have any updates. Effectively, Macgamestore took my money and have not provided the product purchased. After hours and numerous attempts with site support, which is only web form, I have only received automated messages.

This does not sound like something that happened, as all purchases for Steam games are either given a steam key, or refunded (in the case a back-order could not be fulfilled by the publisher). We are sorry you had trouble with our support system, but that whole service has changed now since 2016.
