Had a really good weekend and the entertainment was phenomenal. Staff friendly and very helpful. Louise was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble…
Don't go to this dreadful hotel. Extremely noisy, fights arguments and screeching through the night. We had 2 hours sleep. We did complain and were moved to a quieter room. Beds were awful and so uncomfortable. We only booked for 2 nights, but after getting moved, we decided to give it another night. Unfortunately,it didn't get any better. Breakfast was revolting. Hard black pudding, rubbery eggs and bacon you couldn't chew. Evening meal was truly awful. We had soup to start, it was tasteless tomato soup, thickened with potato, inedible. We had a beef roast dinner, roast potatoes that you couldn't cut, rock hard frozen vegetables, chewy and grisly beef and watery gravy. The chef dished the food up with his hands, he had black rubber gloves, but why would you dish up with your hands ? Hasn't he heard of spoons ?. He took a small break and the server dished up for him using his bare hands !!! He had been serving people and cleaning tables, we never saw him wash his hands. We left everything. I actually just made it to our room before throwing up. We couldn't take no more and gave our key back and left on the Sunday teatime. There are no words to describe the whole experience. The only advice I can give is to run a mile from this delapitated hotel
I turned the cold water tap on in the bathroom and bits of black came gushing out, there was a crack in the sink, which could have been with age, but around the taps were full of dirt, I generally get a small brush at home and clean around the taps
The hand towel on the rail was dirty, there was a visible stain
There were stains on the duvet cover
The hot drinks provided in the room were very poor, one coffee and one tea each, we have been to smaller hotels were they have provided a much better selection along with biscuits and chocolate as an extra touch
The food was adequate but could have had some seasoning, which would have added flavour, although the rhubarb crumble and custard was very nice, and the waiter was friendly and polite
We did use Groupon for the stay, we do this to determine if something is worth paying full price for, we are glad we did not pay full price
If I could give no stars I would ,booked an all inclusive weekend a number of weeks ago ,2 days before arrival got a call to confirm the booking the next day which was the day before arrival a call was received late afternoon to say the booking was cancelled ,no explanation given and when we asked why ,the speaker was rude and dismissive .not recommended obviously
Stayed for 1 night only thank god, the rooms are small, the staff on the desk are a bit ignorant, the beds are rock solid we all woke up with a broken back, I'm sure a bed in a police cell would be comfier the chairs in the room was uncomfortable, the bar is expensive they charged me £1.70 for a can yes a can of water no bottled water a pint of
Coors was £5.80, to many stairs to climb all over the hotel, not disabled friendly, definitely not for people who have problems walking, brother and sister got stuck in the lift for half hour pressing the alarm and shouting no one answered them to let them know they were there working in it, they were stuck between floors so they had to bounce the lift down they were traumatised, they handed in the room keys, no one asked if they were ok apart from the receptionist who asked them did they want a drink to which they replied no I just want to get it off here, we pre booked a parking space for my disabled mum and sister the parking space was further away from the doors than the cars that didn't have a disability and cost £9 for the night so basically they are not disabled friendly, they don't care about there residents, the rooms are small and dingy, the bar prices are extortionate, all seating areas uncomfortable only good thing I can say that I enjoyed was the food which was very good well done to there chef but that is all we will never stay there ever again, don't take my word for it,I used to go past the place and wonder what it was like to stay there now I have never again.
Stayed in room 98, we had water coming through the ceiling onto the bed and our clothes, absolutely soaking them! Went to reception 4 times was like talking to a brick wall, then the receptionist gave us a mop bucket to put under the leak. Upon arriving back to hour room several hours later the bucket was gone but we couldn’t tell it had just been scrubbed with something , to our amazement we discovered a dirty wet white towel on our bed and it turns out the maintenance man was to blame when the staff confronted him and we got told he shouldn’t have left it there, the staff were very rude and to think I paid £313 for this ? Having to go out and buy new T-shirts and not even a sorry, wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me
this is a revue about about the barman paul mcglory at the lyndene hotel blackpool a very plesant and respectfull person likes a joke but very good at his job never waiting if he can help he will
Stayed at the lyndene for two nights with group of friends. Had a lovely experience. Just want to say that Paris who works in the restaurant was absolutely amazing, went above for us and made us feel so comfortable. She is a real asset to the company. Will definitely visit again! Also big thank you to Ben for allowing us to wear our Christmas pj's for breakfast 👍🎄
We stayed at the lyndene for the first and last time , I booked with the hotel on the phone and asked if it was wheelchair friendly and was told yes but to my dismay when we arrived there was one ramp tucked away at the side of the hotel ,the restaurant didn't have a ramp at all there were a set of 4 steps into it , the service in the restaurant was very slow , meals were served Luke warm and on cold plates which didn't help our room was cold when I contacted reception she said it was on a timer to which I said it wasn't good enough as my husband need to keep warm due to his condition she said she would get it sorted out ,but to no avail nothing was done it took 2 days to get an oiled filled radiator put in the room ,the cabaret lounge was freezing cold we sat with our coats on .please don't use this hotel if you're disable or frail as it is not suitable .
Avoid it like the plague.
Good afternoon
We stayed at The Lyndene Hotel. Allocated room 60. No room for the toilet door to open fully, shower door hanging off, shaver socket does not work and chair is a mess. I went to reception and reported it. Unfortunately they had no other rooms available 😕 and sent maintenance to correct them all.
We were there with my disabled brother in law and his wife. He is a wheelchair user. There is no way the hotel is disabled friendly, there are stairs everywhere. There are a lot of guests who are disabled using sticks and walking aids that have to be carried up and down the stairs.
The meals are served on cold plates, so the food soon goes cold. At breakfast I asked the chef if there was any hot plates for breakfast and he said yes but people complain when they are given them??
1st visit to the Lyndene and unfortunately I think it will be the last.
Unhappy resident
