Soles fell off!!
Bought a pair of Lugz (imitation suede?) over ankle suede mens hiking boots for my son to wear to school, it's not yet been two months and the soles both fell off the shoes, never never purchasing this brand again!!
TRASH
I bought a pair of Men’s Empire Hi Water Resistant 6-Inch Boot I've worn them maybe a dozen times and today while wearing them the entire sole of one boot fell off ,they are like brand new you cant even see the slightest wear on them the tread looks like its never been walked on the insole is still in perfect condition and can read every word inside the boot...they've not been hurt at all and for the sole to fall off as it did is unacceptable ,after reading a lot of these reviews I'm not even going to try contacting Lugz an just writing these off as pure trash and NEVER purchasing anything LUGZ branded/related..they are cheaply made with cheap materials ...be warned
Impossible to contact this company.
I have worn Lugz for over 25 years and have always been extremely satisfied with the brand . I jus recent purchased a pair of lugz The Changeover ll Ballistic Oxford Sneakers wore them once and the inside heal of the shoe gave way. Trying to contact Lugz is a hassle and makes it seem as though they are stealing your money and selling cheap product.
Keep your money. Lugz are the worst shoes/boots I have ever purchased.
Purchased a pair of boots and a pair of gym shoes. The shoes lasted a full 24 hours before they were in the trash. I wore them the first time. I took my dog to the park. The grass had a slight morning dew on it. When I returned home I took off my shoes and my feet were wet. I placed them in my laundry room to dry and figured they're not good for wet grass. The next morning I found the shoes along the sole line had split and separated all the way around. Both shoes. Wore them once and into the trash they went.
The boots were the same as all the other reviews I've read here the real leather upper as they claim is a real fake leather upper. I realized this when I put them on for the first time and just the action of tying them up caused the surface of the tongue to begin to peel off. A few days later after wearing them in the snow and my feet being wet when I returned. I suspected the sole were leaking and they would begin to separate and they sure did. Wandering how boot stitching could come apart so easily I took a closer look and realized that the stitching along the edge of the sole was fake. It is actually just a stitching pattern molded into the plastic soles. That of course had begun to separate from the boots. I wore them a total of five days and trashed them. Keep your money. Their is not one iota of quality in lugz
Orange stitching not displayed in photos on website!
The shoes themselves are okay, if extremely unfashionable. However, I NEVER would've bought the Women’s Stagger Hi Slip Resistant 6-Inch Sneaker if they photos on their website accurately displayed the shoes themselves. The shoes both have orange stitching that says "slip-resistant" at the base of the shoe laces, drawing attention the fact that they are either meant for the elderly or someone who works in an environment where they have to beware of slips, such as a restaurant. I bought them for the office, mostly because I thought they'd look more stylish than they do in real life, and be comfortable.

Save your money! Not worth anything
I bought some empire cut gray boots for about $160 Canadian a few years ago because I had lugz in highschool that lasted a long time. I was able to wear these for about 10-15 days before the shoe separated from the sole, also the coating on the fake leather started flaking off almost instantly. Just terrible. I thought I was getting leather for that price. I honestly wouldn't pay over $20 for these shoes.
Crap
Owned 3 pair all 3 soles came unglued you're gonna a bottle of gorilla glue to keep them together
SAVE YOURSELF & YOUR MONEY, LUGS IS A TRAP
Heres my experience if you want to read:
Before Refund:
I had an order that I contacted about returning (originally within the time window but then the holidays hit) a while back. I bought a pair of boots that have been worn only once and sitting in the box since because the quality was so poor I was worried to damage them. These were not what I thought they would be, the fabric threading is poor along with the misleading rubber threading and the leather is like plastic that scratches at the slightest touch because one trip to the store to break them in showed they would not withstand hiking, let alone outdoor activity.
After Refund:
I absolutely do not agree that the return policy says the shoes must be unworn to be returned because you cant tell how good they are until theyre put to use. My "winter waterproof" boots will definitely not hold up a long time as the bottom is already splitting and the sew job came unsecure. It seemed more like a trap, especially after reading all the fake reviews posted right on the website, some of them exactly the same word for word, under different names. It was horrifying to think I just wasted all that money on something I really needed only to be taken advantage of by something cheap and overpriced to look quality. This website is a scam and thats what they make money from, advertising bad shoes on a "constant sale" with other discounts by the misfortune of others. The return policy is a trap and they know it. Forcing most people to keep the bad product. I am more than thankful for the help to refund my pair, but i would never again trust this brand, the quality is that of walmart if not worse and youd be better off shopping from them because they wont steal your money.
They know the shoes are bad and that is why they will not return after wear. I wore mine ONCE.
They have new fake reviews with pictures now (all few 5-4 stars of course), please do not trust as these are most likely paid/altogether fake, 1% of their reviews may be reputable on a popular shoe but that is also where I have also seen identical reviews under different names. Sad and criminal.
Avoid using Lugz.com, Customer Support Non-existent.
I placed an order on their site because they had a good sale price on a pair of shoes that I really wanted. A day or 2 later I noticed an email from them saying my order was cancelled for "no reason given". Immediately I went back on the site, figuring that size or color possibly went out of stock. As I go to re-order a different color or a half size smaller (I usually order big to be safe but a little smaller size will fit) they are no longer on sale so I would have to pay DOUBLE the price that I had previously. I have contacted customer support on multiple occasions to see if they could give me an explanation as to why my order was cancelled or to let me place another order for a different color/size of the same shoe and they have not even responded whatsoever in well over a week. At this point in time I cannot recommend that anyone use Lugz.com or Become a customer of Jack Schwartz Shoes Inc. There is a total lack of professionalism and the customer support is non-existent. I really wish it were different. UPDATE: It has now been over two weeks with no response after multiple attempts to make contact. Now they no longer even sell the shoes I wanted and the size I need is out of stock everywhere else online since I waited for Lugz support. Just great. THANKS LUGZ! They obviously do not care about your business. Stay away.
personally
personally, I love Lugz work boots; am curious what others are out there as well. They are durable, don't make my back hurt like my nike running/athletic shoes did for even 4-6 hour shifts; keep my feet safe and are great quality. Other suggestions of work boots like these? (don't need to be steel-toe equipped)
Not worth it
Not worth it. Bought on Black Friday deal. Wore outside for employment in car sales lot. No serious wear and tear for work other than a bit of walking. 2 weeks later noticed socks and both shoes were wet. Looked underneath and noticed soles were splitting in several areas under each shoe. Have to wear plastic bags until I can get a different pair. Supposedly slip proof and water-resistant but that doesn't really matter when the soles are split open and allow water to get in when it snows here. These guys know their shoes are defective and don't allow you to return them unless unworn and in box. No warranty when their product is clearly defective. I'm sure they're nice as long as you don't utilize them. A waste of 100 bucks.

PURE TRASH not worth $4...NO Idea why i can't post pics on this crap site
I bought a pair of what was supposed to…
I bought a pair of what was supposed to be suede boots $70 for a pair of boots not even a month after having the boots the suede well come to find out wasn't suede it was a microfiber started peeling off and my boots look like they had been warned for years and years. And all that had happened to him to make the suede come off was I got a little bit of water on them from the grass in my yard and I tried wiping it off with a soft cloth. I'm sick of paying my hard-earned money for products that aren't worth a nickel. And yes I contacted lugs and never heard back
