Once they've got your money for goods they dont actually give a toss. No customer service email and the only option being to spend time on the phone with a recording saying they are currently experiencing high call volumes and you may wait up to an hour in the queue....who has an hour spare to in this day and age?

I have used Livingsocial before and had no problems but when there is a problem such as with my last purchase, they are impossible to contact to sort it out. I was on hold for 40 minutes and still no answer. Email the help address and you are told to call the no answer number! Still without my goods and they have taken my money.
Very poor customer services. They only get one star because there is no no star option.
Avoid this company. I will in future.

I ordered a Ralph Lauren polo shirt & it was taking ages to arrive. When I logged into my living social app it didn't show in my purchase history. Living social only had a contact number which was unavailable at weekend. When I finally got through on the Monday after being on hold for an eternity (expensive call) I was rudely told that it was in my purchases but I can only view that in a desktop not the app! I was then informed that I couldn't cancel the product but could return it when I receive it (no time scale given) & that I would need to phone again to go through the returns process. The top finally arrived over a month after it was ordered, there was no return slip. When I emailed living social I received a response to phone!! So why have a 'help' email. So I phoned - 30 min wait!! No chance!! It's too expensive to sit on hold. To top it all off - it was the wrong colour of shirt they sent! When I looked at their returns policy it said that they would take $8 off for processing!! It's a con!! I will never be using living social again!! I'm stuck with this top! Joke!!

Ordered a voucher for some crafted beers,tried to redeem them only to be told that I have to commit to a monthly supply. Tried for a refund,firstly the refund site ou of order,no one answers the phone..All stalling tactics

Ordered a Children's coloring set, should have taken 10 working days.
it is now 20 working days and nothing.
Could not get response from supplier, waited 45 mins on hold after which I requested a refund, I don't have time to waste on this. I was offered my money back but shipping costs I have to contact the supplier/or my credit card company....REALLY!
If you are counting on getting stuff on time, not having to chase it up and good customer service then DO NOT buy from Living Social. Most of the items are available thru Amazon if you look.
This is the third time this has happened to me (I know...don't ask) and it will be the last time. I have had them take me of their list today.

I ordered a watch as a gift for my daughter on 5 Nov 2015. Living Social took my payment and promised delivery in 10 days. Now 25 days later no sign of the watch. Called them 2 times waited ages for someone to answer, they promised each time to get back within 7 days but nothing. Dealing with Living Social is really bad for your health as a lot of distress has been caused to me compounding my ill health. I wont be ordering anything from them ever.

I ordered 1 Ralph Lauren jumper and my partner ordered me 2 for Christmas. Livingsocial held the money for 3 weeks then just put the money back in my PayPal my partner called them to check there wasn't a problem with her order. They explained there was and this order was also not coming, they explained no one recieved them due to supplier issues. Why do they sell goods they don't have and why did it take 3 weeks to reimburse with no email no explanation shocking service.

Bought an iron like a month ago and said it should be delivered in 12 days and I'm still awaiting after few calls to customer service ..very poor service and don't keep their promise

I purchased 2 two tickets from Livingsocial to the Dallas Cowboys vs Vikings football game back in June of this year. When I arrived to AT&T staduim with my voucher in hand, I was told by the ticket office that they would NOT honor my vouchers because they DO NOT have any such contract or relationship with Livingsocial or the vendor who provided the vouchers. I traveled from Houston, rented a hotel room expecting to treat my husband to a wonderful football game with his favorite team only to be told that the tickets we no good. This was my first time using Livingsocial and certainly my last time. Hopefully this comment will prevent someone else from making a HUGE MISTAKE!!

i purchased 2 tickets from living social for pre season Dallas Cowboys vs Vikings game at AT&T stadium. Paid via credit card 2 months ago and received 2 vouchers. Game day was today 8/29/15 at 6pm. I arrived at will call at 6pm and was told the voucher was not valid or honored by AT&T stadium and they have no affiliation with living social or via tix online. After almost an hour speaking with will call and a box office manager they advised I should contact living social because the vouchers provided are not honored. They only accept tickets from ticket master. Called living social and of course they were closed. Now I have to wait to speak with them to refund my money! They ruined my day..Never again!!!

bought a voucher for a door sign...went to the online store to redeem it...I redeemed it and waited, and waited and waited...a month after I ordered I contacted ASUK the sign ppl, they asked me to wait 5 more days for delivery, I kept emailing and emailing..3 months later I have been advised that in fact I never even ordered the sign and to contact the ppl issuing the voucher ie living social so I contacted living social and was told in no uncertain terms my fault as the voucher has expired and obviously I hadn't ordered it properly thru ASUK...wtf I would say 95% of my purchases are made online so I'm no fool but these ppl are scum...they can keep my money but I will sure as hell be telling everyone what a bunch of imbeciles this company is

Didn't receive goods and when went through complaint procedure made no difference then make it difficult to get your money back. BEWARE!!

If it looks too good a bargain to be true - it probably is. Living Social sell vouchers for third party products that are just cheap and nasty, knocked out by the million in some Far East sweat shop. They then charge you excessive delivery charges for the pleasure - DO NOT BE FOOLED!

I recently bought a glamping deal from Living Social. When I tried to redeem it on line on Saturday, neither the redemption code or the voucher number was accepted. After several attempts I called the merchant who said that the code was wrong and he couldn't do anything without the correct code. He also said that he had spoken to around 50 other people trying to redeem their vouchers and Living Social appeared to have issued the wrong code. I tried to call Living Social customer service but they're only open Monday to Friday.....
It had taken ages to arrange suitable dates with the friends I was going with, usual stuff, school holidays, free weekends......found a suitable weekend, one remaining space..........wrong code.
Called Living Social customer service, the refund period had expired and because the deal was still active, (though not with any dates I could do), they wouldn't refund my money but after a very long conversation and many periods on hold, as a gesture of "goodwill" they credited my account with Deal pounds. I ended up so frustrated and found myself being sharp with the girl at the call centre and it really wasn't her fault, she could only do what her "leader" was telling her to do by email as we spoke. I accepted the refund of deal pounds but will be using them up and then sticking to Groupon in the future.
Moral of the story - book the experience/activity within the 14 days and then if Living Social give you the wrong code, they will have time to accept their mistake and give you your actual money back!!!

I bought a lLivingsocial voucher for a haircut and highlights at VIP Lounge, Sherburn.
I booked it in advance for 6 May 2015 and the hairdressers accepted my booking with the voucher.
When I arrived they said that the voucher could not be accepted as it said that it should be used by 6 May 2015. The voucher was not accepted electronically and they said that the only thing I could do was to return it to Livingsocial for refund. They also contacted Livingsocial regarding this issue. There were other customers who were in the same situation and they got refund from Livingsocial.
This situation was upsetting and disappointing to me as I was looking forward to the haircut and highlights.

The reason why this voucher could not be used is that the expiry date was written in a very confusing way as although it said that the voucher should be used by 6.05.15 it was not accepted on 6.05.15. I think that in previous vouchers that I bought from Livingsocial over several years the date on the voucher was the last day the voucher could be used. This is the first time I have this problem although I have bought many vouchers from Livingsocial.

I contacted Livingsocial and was refused refund. I have been a faithful customer of Livinsocial for many years and I could not belive how rude and disrespectful the customer representative I spoke to was. He refused to deal with the issue in a polite and respectful manner, did not listen to my arguments, did not let me take this matter further by e-mail or in writing or to make a complaint and when I asked him if I could speak to the manager he put me on hold and never came back. I was also told that telephone calls were free but they were not. I was shocked by how rude he was.

Would have given them 0 stars if I could.
Bought a voucher from them for a company called urshu.com for a set of 8 garden light. Followed the instructions, but at the merchant site, in order to get 8 lights I had to pay extra. I added 4 to my basket thinking the voucher code would tell them it is really for 8. When checked my orders it was actually for 4. I see this as a total con. I have asked for a refund. Will see if I get it before approaching Paypal to see if I can a refund from them. Avoid both companies at all costs. I would also avoid discountvouchers.co.uk as well as they were advertising the livingsocial.com product. They create a three tier product sale to make it difficult for you to get your refund. Like others have said, they do this so that they can put the blame on each other and to give you the run around. Should have checked them out, but as they were on discountvoucher.co.uk i thought they would have vetted them already. They amount of time you spend chasing your money it would have been cheaper paying a bit extra and buying from a reputable merchant.

Purchased a Nexus 7 32GB from Living Social, it is not working after only 10months, will not charge. Tried to return for repair or replacement and I've been told the item has no guarantee after the initial 28 days. One month guarantee - what a rip off, I'm sure I didn't see that when I purchased the tablet.
I've had an 8gb purchased from play which is much older and still works perfectly although now very slow which is why I wanted to upgrade.
Had to do a factory reset so lost some of my pics which was annoying.
Read the small print when purchasing.

I've been a loyal customer for years. The other day I went to book a hotel for Las Vegas and the next day it was cancelled for some reason. Called Livingsocial, they said it was a problem with my card. So I used a different card and tried again, same thing happened. I called again, got someone else who asked me to try buying it (AGAIN). She said it went through but I received no confirmation for it. She insisted that it went through, but as soon as I got of the phone with her, I got an email that it was cancelled. I called back, spoke with a supervisor who said it's a problem with the hotel. That's all he could tell me. Couldn't give me a direct number to call him back. He said he would try to figure it out and promised to call me back by 4pm the next day. I didn't really want to wait but I figured he was putting effort into it so I'd give it once last try. Of course, he didn't call me back. So now I'm stuck with no hotel 2 weeks away from the trip and $200 worth of livingsocial "deal bucks" that I never intend on using. The worst service I've ever had in my life. Hello Groupon!

I actually deal with Living Social often for a long time now and i purchase voucher deals from them for different merchants. I called them twice to get refunds on vouchers for various reasons. The first time, the merchant didn't want to honor the voucher, so Living Social gave me my money back without any hassle. The second time, more recently, I bought a voucher for Greenlite Meals. When I tried to cancel the order with Greenlite, they did not want to cancel the order, even though there is nothing in their policy that says all sales are final. I called Living Social to complain about the merchant and Living Social gave me my money back without any hassle. Living Social is very helpful and listens to complaints. I trust them 100% and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
