In June 2022, I hired Aannemersbedrijf Koolmeyer BV for renovation works, including the construction of front and rear dakkapels.

The project was contractually agreed to be completed by September 2022. It was not completed on time, and significant defects remained. Despite several formal opportunities to remedy the issues, the work was not properly finished.

As a result, I initiated legal proceedings.
In December 2023, I obtained a final court judgment ordering Koolmeyer BV to pay approximately €42,000 in damages.

To date, this amount has not been paid.

Enforcement attempts through a bailiff have not resulted in recovery. Under Dutch law, enforcement against a BV can be complex when attachable assets are not immediately available, even when a creditor holds a valid court judgment.

Meanwhile, the company continues operating.

Because the works on the dakkapels were subcontracted, and due to the quality issues, I had to replace and repair them at my own expense (approx. €12,000 additional costs).

I encourage anyone considering working with this company to:

Conduct thorough due diligence
Verify financial standing
Carefully assess risk exposure

Don't hire them. This is a side proyect of the owner, he has no clue on how to manage anything, the sub sub contractors he hires also don't know what they are doing and are basically begging for accident.

He left multiple issues in the construction and 5 months later I still have no answer from them.

Het project was allesbehalve eenvoudig, maar dankzij hun professionele aanpak is het eindresultaat schitterend. Vanaf het begin luisterde Yaser aandachtig naar onze wensen en wist hij deze perfect te vertalen naar een heldere en transparante offerte, zonder onnodig ingewikkeld gedoe.

Wat ons echt opviel, was de uitstekende communicatie gedurende het hele proces. Alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd, en we werden continu op de hoogte gehouden van de voortgang. Daarnaast hield het team zich keurig aan de afgesproken planning – de klus was binnen acht weken en binnen budget afgerond, precies zoals beloofd.

De kwaliteit van het werk is simpelweg indrukwekkend, en de samenwerking met het enthousiaste en vakkundige bouwteam was een genot. Het is duidelijk dat KoolMeyer niet alleen streeft naar perfectie, maar dit ook keer op keer weet te leveren.

Kortom, Aannemersbedrijf KoolMeyer is dé partner die je zoekt voor verbouwingen, woningreparaties en andere klussen. Dank aan Yaser en het team voor een geweldige ervaring! Wij raden hen van harte aan en zullen zeker in de toekomst opnieuw met hen samenwerken. 👏

KoolMeyer BV – A Disappointing Experience!

I would not recommend KoolMeyer BV to anyone. They left my house unfinished, delivered poor-quality work, and caused significant delays, taking 7 months longer than originally agreed. After going through the trouble of winning a lawsuit against them, I was shocked to find that they have refused to take any responsibility and have not paid me back a single cent. Unfortunately, Dutch corporate laws seem to protect companies like KoolMeyer BV, allowing them to continue making money while leaving customers like me high and dry.

It's incredibly frustrating to feel that the legal system isn't designed to ensure fair compensation for those who have been wronged. I wanted to share my experience so others are aware—beware of KoolMeyer BV! I strongly advise against hiring them for any projects.

Toen ik op het internet zag dat er slechte reviews waren had ik mijn twijfels over het team maar ik ben blij om aan te geven dat, dat nergens voor nodig was! Het project was heel snel afgehandeld, mijn badkamer ziet er weer zo goed als nieuw uit en blijer kan it niet zijn. Zeker een aanrader!

NEVER HIRE KOOLMEYER OR ASSOCIATES
The biggest mistake I did was to trust and hire yasser to do a bathroom renovation. Extremely unprofessional service, he is delegating the project to other contractors, they barely communicate with each other, and they are amateurs. At the end I hired a lawyer to solve the problem , they never finished the project nor taken any responsibility. until today no refund has been made.
