I telephoned them beforhand to find out…

I telephoned them beforhand to find out how comprehensive the Monitoring Programme was but no one called me back. I decided to just buy the compliance monitoring template for £25 it's just a basic excel template and some notes. I'm not that bothered about the money but could have knocked up what i paid for in about 3 minutes. The "compliance monitoring template" is not fit for purpose.

Thank you for your feedback Philip, we have taken this onboard. However, given your remarks I did want to check that you had downloaded/been able to access the full file? There is a blank, column based Compliance Monitoring Document (CMD) Excel doc for firms to populate themselves as per the FCA application notes under compliance arrangements, which is accompanied by a 9-page guidance document. However, there is also an 8-page Regulatory Business Plan template, 7-page Compliance Monitoring Policy, a Compliance Monitoring Action Form and most importantly, a pre-defined CMD template spreadsheet populated with over 100 FCA compliance monitoring requirements, coloured coded and complete with modules, handbook references, over-arching compliance areas, checks and action fields, next action dates, auditor and frequency data validation fields. The full suite of £25 templates have had in excess of 40 hours work put into them, so I wanted to ensure you had received the full files. Of course, templates are not suitable for all firms so I do appreciate that you may have receievd them all but not found them suitable for your business type. I have emailed you directly, but have also been unable to locate any messages from you either before or after purchase, so if you have not received anything, please do contact me on c.roberts@knowyourcompliance.com.

easy to choose between different purchase options available.
very relevant to the need to satisfy authorising body, HMRC, that steos have been taken to meet their requirements..... even though the subject matter is total gibberish !
And very reasonably priced.

first class service, forms explain their self, easy to download/understand. used for FCA compliance which to me is not plane English but the guidance explains everything. Did have a problem understanding one part and had a email explaining everything within a few hours. TOP RATE SERVICE WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND And we are getting approved. Thank you

Overall well worth it

From a compliance point of view they provided exactly what I wanted, which was a well-developed set of templates covering all aspects of AML responsibilities. The alternative was to start with a blank page and limited knowledge, which is a bad starting point.

I did notice a few inconsistencies in language in the templates, all easily-solved issues like inconsistent use of singular/plural to describe "the Company" (as in, "the Company uses" and also more correctly "the Company use"), use of "the HMRC", as well as some spelling mistakes (it's "remuneration" not "renumeration") and waffly text in places.

Overall well worth the price though.

Absolutely vital for a regulated business

Having the ability to gain the necessary documents for a regulated business, in an organised manner, setting out all the relevant processes in a clear and legible manner, makes a huge difference. The peace of mind and comfort knowing the right evidence is in place ongoing, should the regulator step in the office, is worth every penny. The important piece is making sure you use them, and taking care they reflect your own business. This is NOT a simple copy and paste set of documents.
