Patronising, unhelpful, and a waste of time
This course is a waste of time for anyone with experience in the workplace with colleagues.
You’re probably wondering why I joined this course when I already had work experience, but for context, I was in a very difficult position when I applied for this course as I got let go from my previous job for no good reason (I’m autistic and I got let go for being “too slow” at making everyone’s dishes).
During this course, I was treated like I was in school again (I was 18 and had left school 2-3 years before, so obviously I wasn’t happy about this). Also, most of the things me and my classmates were taught were things I’m assuming most people would’ve known about, and were completely irrelevant into getting a job (minus the CV building, work experience, etc.)
One thing I’ll mention as well is that my tutor didn’t help me get work experience as I actually got a part time job whilst I was doing this course, which would’ve been understandable and fair, but there was someone else in my class who also had a job while doing the course, and my tutor helped him get work experience.
I’m not here to complain about my tutor as this isn’t the place to do so, but I am here to complain about the course and what it involves. I don’t recommend it unless you’re unemployed with no work experience and you’re at a point where you’re desperate.

Enterprise program is not available in my area. Incredibly disappointing and let down.

No respect of peoples time
Just came off a 20 minute phone call with a person from the enterprise team who has told me to come back in 6 months once I have monetised my business.
I had to wait 3 months for an appointment and had to wait through a 2 hour zoom call for this result…
Putting aside the fact that I would not need Kings Trust after I have monetised, why is the process to get on the enterprise program so time consuming? The zoom call was a PowerPoint presentation that could have been summarised in an email.
Perhaps my type of business is unusual to the organisation, but this could have been sorted out months ago in a simple form.

Don't bother.
Don't bother applying to anything here.
You provide them with your personal details multiple times, they give you options you are supposedly "eligible" for and then they come back days later informing you that you actually aren't.
Does not help provide opportunities to vulnerable people at all.
Terrible.

Why don't they work with more areas
Why don't they work with more areas? I'm somebody who has struggled to get a job for 1 1/2 years and can't do a program and get proper help just because of where I live. Its tricky to get work everywhere.

Applying for funding is an absolute nightmare. The financial spreadsheet is only set up for a product selling business. IMPOSSIBLE to use as a service selling business. The questions they ask is of the same calibre of an investment bank or private equity company simply RIDICULOUS. Not worth the hassle honestly.

4-day enterprise course
I attended the Prince of Trust 4-day enterprise Course and Nigel and the rest of his team were fantastic they provided a lot of outstanding detailed information and resources and were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend other young people to sign up and join the Prince of Trust courses. Manisha Webb

I have been with the princes trust for awhile now and I have been okay so far, the communication could be better as someone who is stepping into something new and unknown I have been left stranded at times. I have sent emails and hardly get a reply but once I have spoken to someone it has been helpful. Nigel has been super helpful and has amazing tips which has boosted my brain and given me the kick that I needed.
Joke of a enterprise mentorship…
Joke of a enterprise mentorship program. The mentor they gave me had absolutely 0 previous founder/entrepreneurial experience. No wonder the "enterprise award" clothing business they use as their star example on their website is literally a dissolved/bankrupt business.
Do not recommend.
Dubious Protection Procedures
The Trust worked with my son. The actual events, workshops & classes they ran did him real benefit & good, built his confidence, improved his ability in interview, with people etc. They helped him get a work experience placement.
But they failed him at the very last hurdle. Aged 20 but classified as a vulnerable adult under the child protection act they failed to assure that the resulting job offer, after 2 weeks of unpaid work experience was a real job, properly managed & properly paid. There was no due diligence or checks on the employer or the work / pay conditions offered.
My son ended up working 40+hrs / week for £650pcm with no contract, no training, no PPE. He was used & abused for extra profit by that employer & over a protracted period - till I found out.
By its nature the Princes Trust has a high number of vulnerable & affected / disaffected young people. Some will have learning disabilities, some suffered abuse or deprivation & lack of care, some will have limited experience in the world of work, not know the pitfalls & how to manage their own employment. They may be unaware of employment legislation on NMW, contracts, hours, training, safety etc
To progress them thru their good program, but then on into an unmanaged, bogus & usury, even unethical or illegal employment is a failure of process & a failure to those young people.
This is an obvious gap in your own Policy, processes & procedures. The poor reviews here demonstrate that.
On behalf of any vulnerable younger person - you need to Sort It Out!

Working for 4 weeks in a supermarket for free is not a "work experience opportunity". It's exploitation. Absolute scum, how can you call yourselves a charity?

Terrible place to work
Terrible place to work. The management team are bullies. They do not listen to safety concerns and allow folks to come in under the influence. It is also poorly paid for the amount of hours and overtime forced upon oneself.
Princess Trust did not help me at all.
Princess Trust did not help me at all.
Our group was significantly mismatched in terms of skills and leadership. I was in my early twenties when I was accessed princes Trust, our team leaders were of the same age as me, they had little to no control or authority over the group. One member of our group came in high everyday. I don't believe he was ever confronted about this.
Our group was significantly mismatched in terms of skills, I don't say this to disparage but some member of our group had clear learning disabilities whereas some of us had very competent skills, this lead to vast amounts of our work either being too tough for the less able or being monotonously unchallenging, reaching towards belittling for the more able.
This is all understandable problems and nothing too damaging, the real problem i had was the treatment once the course ended; we were promised help achieving our goals and putting us on a correct path, towards further education or into employment.
I was dropped the instant the course ended, no additional meetings, no guidance, no help.
Extremely disappointing and disheartening. It feels like we are used by the organisation.

What an absolute shambles of an…
What an absolute shambles of an organisation! I’ve been having meetings on my business for over a year, i just wanted to get through to this “launch group” they’re so called preparing me for. They act like its going to be the dragons den and i’m going to get some grant ( i told them i’m not fussed about as i don’t need it) all i wanted was some extra brains on starting up quite a complex rental business. I just wanted the mentor for it. First i was with pete i did my busines plan took months because they only give you a meeting every other month. He told me to put more and more detail in about obvious things aswell as if i’ve got to present this to a 12 year old child. Then i got transferred to tim that said i had to take out most of the detail because it just confuses things and i can elaborate on them and explain the details when im in the launch group. Then i got put through to jacqui who said i had to out loads more detail in again and kept saging it wasnt enough, i mentioned sourcing my cars from salvage category's category N etc and she said i have to explain all that what it is etc in detail in my plan because she didn't understand it. ( i would have hoped i would get a mentor that knows something about vehicles for a vehicle rental business) basic knowledge is just the least i could ask for. Anyway i got a call last week saying i have to be a member of the bvrla to start my business with the princes trust or they won’t take me on. She also apologised and said the princes trust should have said this to me a long time ago.
I looked into the bvrla and they only take on rental companies that are already well established… so to me it looks like she’s tried to make it out that they’ve had a big formal meeting on my business plans and they’ve looked really hard into it and said i’ve had to be a member of this before i start my business.
So i did my research and evidently it proved to me that they hadn’t done any research on it.
It looks like they done a quick google search skimmed over my plan and took a sip of wine moved onto something else…. I can’t sign up with them as a new business!!!
Furthermore! Today couple days after, i get a call from jacqui saying she’s had a business meeting this whole morning (probably sipping wine again) and shes spoken a lot about my plan and she just can’t see how I'm covered because i don’t have insurance on the vehicle if they go missing.
Well, in my business plan for the past year i have spoken to: pete. Tim. And herself and explained that many times!!!
I hold a security depsoit on their card like normal rental compaines covering me for any expenses that are outlined in terms and conditions. This seemed new to her and she said now she knows that she’s going to go back and have a think about it and what she can do to help and she understands that now. But the princes trust have decided they can’t help me.
So she’s gone into the ‘meeting’ explained in depth (apparently) my business without the key part of how things run and how its secure and basically had a talk with them about how it won’t work because she doesn't understand half of it.
It sounds like to me the princes trust haven’t got very smart people running it. They have dossers sipping wine thinking they’re brilliant because they help people set up small businesses like a f**cking lawn mower business or a face paint stall or a sell your own art stand. They’re not capable of helping towards any realistic complex business they’re absolutely useless and they will mess you around for a very long time
I would have expected more from a company that is supposed to help young people start their own business, is would have thought they’d at least make a half hearted attempt to make a decent impression or at least be a good role model of a business and how to run one. All this company as a whole have showed me is that they do not particularly care they will act like they do offcourse but they will not read your plans they will not research or look into things properly, you might be ok if your business is selling bracelets on etsy but for anything more don’t bother.
I feel sorry for the people who have donated to this ‘charity’ that doesn’t put in the work. Prince Charles should be ashamed.
I feel embarrassed that i’ve told people i’m starting my business with the princes trust with pride, infact i said this to a police officer and she smiled and said oh so you’ve been through the system then what prison did you go too?
Now i feel like an absolute mug i feel like i’ve walked into year 7 maths class and wore with pride that i’m learning 10x40 thinking i’m smart as Elon musk as a fully grown adult. This trust is run by people with wood for brains, they can teach you some simple basics they can point you in the right direction to get yourself a utr number but don’t expect anything more from them.

I signed up to the course 11 months ago.. still waiting to be assigned a advisor, absolute shambles of an organisation they just want you to do the course to secure their funding and then never get in contact again, I’ve emailed and called countless times to the point I’ve given up, save your time your learn more of YouTube then signing up with these frauds. A week of my life wasted even entertaining their cheesy nonsense. Honestly just go on YouTube.
Avoid Prince's trust partnership Advanced is…
Prince's trust partnership Advanced is something which I do not recommend at all. Check the negative reviews on Glassdoor and indeed. I had the same sort of experience. Avoid at all costs, don't work for this company. Disgusting and disgraceful company. Don't join these lot. Awful company to work for. Parmeet Singh is on about meeting expectations like he said to previous staff. No help or support was provided. The staff are either on sick leave or they just quit. There was no remote in software available to support NHS users and the ticketing system they had in place is perhaps the most awful one you will ever see. Waste of space. Go say that to the whole team what you said to me about lateness and meeting expectations, and if you don't you will give me notice. I ain't got no kids to feed. Did you forget I was a contractor? And that I could leave anytime? That's what I did, I called Parmeet back and told him who do I hand my notice in. Then I got up and walked out. They had this skinny lady waiting and she followed me out the building. They also had one guy with a beard and black t shirt on who stamped his foot and gave me an aggregated and aggressive look the week before as I left the building. What's the point of this ?
They don't give annual leave they said but I have a recorded conversation with PayStream who said annual leave is provided. Advanced are a joke company with joke clueless nitpicky managers.
I would not recommend or advise anyone to use or work at Advanced. They do not care about their own staff let alone customers. However they had the air conditioning on at random times blowing cold air when there has just been a change in weather. A bit odd this came on and I felt it was done on purpose to get people sick. The only thing Advanced about this place is their awful service.
They only want money off the client without offering a basic decent service.
When I called the Prince's trust and told them what happened to me and that your advocate is promoting Prince's trust in their awful signatures at Advanced, she was like they are a partner. I felt as if she already knew what was happening there with the bullying, victimisation and racism.
I feel like I was treated in such an ill manner because of my Asian Bangladeshi background and my religious belief of Islam. You know where to find me.
