Hired the locksmith to fix a balcony door that would not open. Credit to the locksmith as he managed to open the door when a previous locksmith could not. However, the locksmith proposed changing the broken lock mechanism for £700 (incl labour). Per the locksmith, the rationale for the high repair cost was the part alone cost £588. He justified the pricing by showing me a picture of a similar lock mechanism on his phone. As I don't think our patio door is worth more that £1K, googled the brand of the door and found that the part cost was £120 inclusive of VAT, not £588. So although the service was good, self due diligence is prudent before going forward with any proposed expensive repairs with this company. And beware when the locksmith starts off with, "you can claim the costs on your house insurance". The comment indicated that I should expect a high bill.
Although it is true you can claim lock costs on house insurances, the claim will adversely impact your house insurance premiums in the future

Quoted cost was half what I was charged as this was 'more complicated' so they charged me more. Replacement lock cost was ridiculous. Went to a proper locksmith who provided an excellent service

An appalling experience. I paid an exorbitant amount of money to have a door fixed. The issue was still there the next time the door was used. This all ought to be covered under their warranty but it seems their dishonest locksmith is now claiming it was a different issue. I have video evidence that the door is the same issue and have reported them to the trading standards.

Super helpful and polite on the phone - had someone over within two hours who did the job in under 10 minutes! Amazing service.

Unfortunately despite my previous positive review, I was ripped off by this company on Saturday evening. I locked myself out and called this company as had previous good experiences. I was told I would be charged £59 plus VAT or £89 plus VAT if they had to drill the lock.

My lock required drilling and then replacing. I ended up being charged £89 plus VAT for the call out (fine with that) and then a further £149 plus VAT for a lock that costs £20.

In addition to this, the locksmith was surly and damaged the paint on my doorframe.

The company's response has been pretty disgusting.

Calling the damage a "scratch" and that because it was late they charged extra for the lock. The installation of the lock took 5 minutes.

Rang in an emergency, said 30 minutes but ended up being 50. However, service from the guy when he arrived was great and efficient.

Called keys4U today and was told the locksmith would be with me 45 mins to an hour. Locksmith arrived, he apologised for the wait as he had been to a call out in Enfield. I’d managed to lock myself out of my daughters house with the keys on the other side of the door. The locksmith used a tool through the letterbox to try and unhook the key out but this didn’t work. He then slid a plastic card into the bottom of the door and worked it up to the locking mechanism. All done in about ten minutes. I was quoted £50 but it actually cost me £82 which I thought was an exorbitant price, but I was relieved to have access again with no damage to the door. Perhaps it cost more as it was a weekend? Hopefully I won’t be doing this again.

Advised call handler if issue with keybolt not retracting far enough and no mention of call out fee! Locksmith arrived and confirmed that it is a common fault. Suggested just unscrewing lock bolt as mechanism fine. Was here 4 mins and call-out was £90. Never again

Excellent service. We had broken a key in the patio door lock. Went the extra mile to ensure the patio door worked perfectly having had to remove the lock he also had to strip all the mechanism down and repair it before replacing the lock. Very friendly and talked through the whole process. I would highly recommend!!!

Following on from my recent calls over the last 2 days, yesterday I agreed with there service department in the afternoon for there locksmith to reattend tomorrow @ 10am and amend the door lock that he refitted as we have been unable to lock door via key since his initial attendance causing a security issue of the weekend and to date.

However last night I received the message below in blue from the locksmith, clearly the lock must have slipped in the barrel or something, as we literally
Asking him to put the lock back to its original condition before eh removed.

Regarding the door lock not working.. prior to my leave from the site the door has been tested by the staff on site and was working perfectly
fine after you guys change your mind to change the lock. If we to come out again will be a charge to attend as no parts were fitted .
We offer warranty only for parts that are changed.

I then called them around 8 x times that following morning, apparently service manager was in a meeting and then mysteriously working from home, passed from pillar to post, staff were extremely short with me, staff clearly did not care, I warn all that use this company, you do so at your absolute peril stay well clear

The office quoted £59+VAT and a lock being £20-30.

The locksmith arrived looked at job and quoted £185+VAT for a new lock, cos it was a double lock, and extra £45+VAT hourly rate on top of callout.

Subsequently found the lock available for around £40 so RIPOFF is an understatement.

Next was trying it on that the extant blade was too long and would cause wear problems but time will tell as I wasn't drawn into paying for yet more.

The payment was by bank transfer and the engineer insisted on photographic evidence. Thankfully I could do it on my tablet and put my thumb over my acct number so he could photograph it. Surely card payment should be possible?

Left a very bitter taste and suggest TRY OTHERS!

I broke my key in the front door this morning. I called the office about 08.40am. I was told someone would be out in about 30mins. The locksmith called me at 9.10am to say he had just got my job and had just finishec a job so would be about 20mins. I called back to the office to confirm there was no callout fee and how much the job would cost me. I was told it was £59.00 plus vat for the labour. If any parts were needed it would be extra. I decided not to cancel because the price was ok. He arrived about 09.35. It took him a matter of 5 mins to open my door and take the broken key out of the lock. He then charged me £104 plus vat which came to £125. I rang the office and was given some rubbish that the man had been working from early and jad I rang at 9am the price would of been different. I rang the locksmith to ask him why he had charged me so much but he said it was because the office had told him it was a lock out and not about the key broke in the lock. Its all part of the labour so he should of still only charged £59.00 plus vat. I feel totally ripped off. I am waiting ti hear about my complaint. The calls to office were recorded so the price I was quoted for labour will be there. I expect a refund from this company. BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING.

Ilie delivered a high quality, professional job to replace 2 locks on the entrance to my flat after a set of keys were removed.

He was available at 16 hours’ notice which was highly appreciated due to the compromised security of the property and completed the job in around 30 minutes.

He also provided expert advice on the locks on my patio doors that another tradesman had suggested were vulnerable. Ilie assured me that as British standard 3* locks they were the best around which gave me peace of mind, coupled with the replacement of the door locks.

10/10 would recommend
