Bought an $800
Bought an $800, reduced down to $400, Kenwood Chef Classic Mixer recently. I could not believe how plastic and flimsy it was. The contents was minus the spanner, so I sent an email to them and it bounced back....ERROR ADDRESS NOT RECOGNISED! So I called their 0508 200300 no. and listened to this..."Dear Customer, Our call centre is closed, please go online and complete the support page"??? Good luck with that!!! So I called Briscoes, (place of purchase), and the young chap offered me a full refund, or grab another. Since reading the REVIEWS about this appliance, I have decided to get a refund. I'm going to check out the Charity Shops in the hope I find an original Kenwood mixer.

J'ai acheté le robot KENWOOD PROSPERO+ 290SI N/AN/A sur Amazon en mars 2025. Il fonctionne très bien
Au bout de 6 mois le presse agrume commence à dysfonctionner (il s’arrête lorsque l'on appuie légèrement dessus ce qui ne permet plus d'exprimer le jus)
Comme l'appareil est théoriquement sous garantie je l'envoie en réparation...il m'est renvoyé en l'état sans être réparé en me conseillant de lire la notice !
Bref KENWOOD n'offre pas de garantie , en tout cas pour les achats Amazon
Faulty blender - No Service, warranty or return
We bought a new blender from Kenwood. A top model. After two weeks of usage - normal daily use, which we have done for many years with our previous blenders - the blender stopped working.
After a short correspondence with the customer service, it was clear that they had no intentions of fulfilling their warranty obligations. We even had to pay a large fee to have their technical department investigate the blender.
By accident we were included in an internal Kenwood mail correspondence where it was clear that if we sent the blender to their technical department they would collect the fee and reject the claim anyway...
Be very careful when considering a Kenwood product...
Faulty products but won’t exchange
Bought an oven from Kenwood (which it turns out is owned by Curry’s ) in October. This did not work properly from the start. Instead of an exchange curry’s gave me a number to arrange for an engineer to visit. This meant I had to take time off work to wait in for an engineer (8am-6pm). Engineer then had to go away and order parts. Another day wasted waiting in, meanwhile no oven to cook for family of six. A few months later oven breaks again. Phoned curry’s (who I bought oven from ) who said that Kenwood is owned by them . Two hours on phone being passed from pillar to post. Totally inconsistent conflicting answers from staff, who apparently do not have a manager or a complaints department. Over a week now without oven working still waiting for engineer to order parts once again. Would just like replacement oven this one is clearly faulty and cannot afford to keep taking time off work to wait in for engineers. Bought in good faith that oven would work and it’s cost me time and money for the second time. Will never ever buy from curry’s again . Shocking company

DMX7722DABS Intermittant radio signal contacted Kenwood they said I need to download on to a certain flashdrive the software update they provided .
Folowed the instructions to the letter the unit went off never came back on again . You will notice contacting them is not straight forward intentionally designed to encorage you to go away . Supprise supprise out of the one year warranty
No concearne over the actions they instucted me to take that resulted in totaling the unit. It dosent even power up.
The company is a shower and there is a very good reason why the waranty is 1 year. Thats a % decision from them on how long it will opperate whithout failing before they can wipe there hands off it .
There are units out there that provide exactly the same funtions for at least half the price of Kenwood
So if you think your buying a Kenwood for quality and back up, seriously think again
Elendig forsendelsesmetode
Simpelhen aldrig prøvet noget så besværligt. I sender med UPS som sender 7 mails om information om forsendelsen inden jeg får pakken. Jeg SKAL være hjemme når de kommer. Jeg bestilte den forkerte vare, en dejkrog, og ville returnere den, men det er ganske svært at finde ud af hvordan på hjemmesiden. Da jeg endelig finder ud af hvor det står retur, så får man en mail, hvor man skal følge en endnu vanskeligere instruks, og så skal jeg tilmelde lave en aftale med et fragtfirma, hvor jeg SKAL være hjemme IGEN, om et tidspunkt, hvor pakken hentes igen.
Det har været yderst frustrerende og det er sidste gang at jeg bestiller her fra.
Brug en nemmere forsendelsesmetode som f.eks GLS.
Not easy returns at all
Tried to return a food processor attachment I bought in Australia that was not compatible with my UK bought mixer. I was told I would not be able to get a refund and then that was that. I requested a call to discuss this or at least some rationale to understand the decision and my last emails have been ignored. I will avoid this lot at all costs going forward, appalling behaviour from a 'reputable' brand.
Slechts 5 jaar ondersteuning van navigatiekaarten Kenwood
Na 5 jaar kan je een Kenwood autonavigatiesysteem (van € 1.000) bij het afval gooien omdat de software van de navigatie niet meer bijgewerkt wordt.
Ondanks dat de apparatuur vlekkeloos werkt wordt de gebruiker dus geconfronteerd om de apparatuur te vervangen in plaats van de software te updaten.
Volgens JVC Kenwood Benelux zijn dit afspraken tussen Kenwood Japan en Garmin USA.
De volgende Autoradionavigatie (dubbel DIN) wordt natuurlijk geen Kenwood meer. Wees gewaarschuwd van de erg korte supportperiode van de software navigatiekaarten.

I returned a kenwood mixer for repair some weeks ago and have received no response from a human. Has anyone tried to contact Kenwood by phone with any sucess?I tried several times once on hold for 1 hr, before I gave up. Products are ok , but customer services are a waste of time. As I am writing this, I am continual hold with the same bloody message, 'all our agents are busy'

Absolutely horrible experience. The guy Mike was rude and told me I was just reading the manual after cutting me off. I’m returning my amp ASAP and will never buy another Kenwood product. Thanks for literally nothing. Do not buy Kenwood!

Got this radio fitted after the original DAF fm radio broke. I downloaded the instructions onto my phone.
It constantly loses the digital signal but I have it set to revert to FM it doesn’t? It doesn’t seek for some reason and won’t mute? Connects my phone but not my contacts or calls so can’t ring out? There are loads of sub menus which are confusing. The 18 presets on digital should seek to a new station it doesn’t. The scroll menu loses its settings every time I switch the ignition off? It does play CDS OK and if I connect my phone or iPod it plays music on them ok. I purchased it for DAB radio though. It’s well out of guarantee now, but I’ve contacted their customer service. Which try and blame the customer? Other Kenwood radios might be ok but not this one. A new truck being delivered in September so hopefully the new DAF DAB will work better than this one!
Have used Kenwood stereos for 25 years…
I have had a Kenwood stereo in every personal car of mine for over 25 years. I switched cars with my kid so she had the much newer one. I bought a cheaper model Kenwood stereo (KMM-BT332U) for this 25 years old, 250,000 mile car. I use 3 separate usb sticks to listen to music. I've been using these 3 in my previous Kenwood (KDC-X998) for 8+ years. ALl 3 played in alphabetical order by artist, the way the files were made. Anyway, this KMM-BT332U could not do this (Deep Purple before ACDC), annoying but ok. It also would not power off. It would just restart itself. The small co I got it from offered to replace it. I chose the (KMM-BT232U) which was a bit cheaper to help them with their time loss. This new stereo also didn't play in order nor did the scroll info auto feature work. So I played with the usb to try to get them to work, looked online etc. etc. etc. I sent Kenwood an email stating the problem in a bit more detail. They sent back the 'instructions' how to set the auto scroll function. Also they stated in the email "Unfortunately there are no settings on the unit to playback the files alphabetically. We apologize for the inconvenience. ". Are you kidding me? The unit has a semi conductor (computer) chip in it, there IS a way to sort the information. That was it for me, I will throw this cheap piece of junk in the trash, buy a Pioneer or Alpine and never deal with this company again after 25 years. I understand there are occasionally problems but I do not react well to employees that do not care and/or can't be 'bothered' to attempt to actually help a customer. Not a problem as you will not have to help me in the future unless you go to work for your competitor.

Called to ask a question about the specification, chasis depth of an old Kenwood vs. New Unit. The CSR or tech support member continued to read me the same sentence over and over.
Poor customer service, no accountability
Purchased a face plate for a late model stereo and received confirmation via email, the next day I received an email stating the part I ordered had more than doubled in price! I responded saying I hoped they would honor the price as advertised, they refused. I contacted Kenwood USA and explained how they had a misleading distributor, while the tech customer support guy I spoke with was empathetic and requested to escalate the issue, it was refused and he female supervisor told me there was nothing they would do.

Faulty dishwasher
My dishwasher, which was purchased in September 2023 isn't cleaning properly. I've had constant issues with getting this sorted. A repair was booked via Curry's - my wife waited in all day (losing a day's pay) and they didn't show. They phoned 4 days later to say they'd pre-ordered a part based on the assumption it was a heating element. They turned up and fitted a heating element but it's still not washing properly. I was surprised they didn't do more of an investigation as I'm hardly qualified to judge what the washer needs - I guessed it was a heating element but would have thought this would need investigating by an expert. Still have no working dishwasher - phone Curry's and they just tell me to ring Kenwood and vice versa. I bought it from Curry's - it's your responsibility to sort. I've spent so much time on the phone and twitter. Big companies have no regards for individuals or the impact it might have on one's mental well-being. I have a four month old at home, first baby, this is the last thing I should be trying to sort. Especially as it's only a few months old.
Don't buy a Kenwood fridge
I bought a kenwood fridge and freezer and wish I hadn't. My Samsung fridge freezer is 20yrs old and still works better. My kenwood fridge has been 'fixed' about 4 times and still doesn't work. It has never worked properly. It seems to have had 1 temperature the whole time and now it has just given up apart from an alarm going off. The freezer seems to have gone now too. Not sure if it is a problem with the doors.
Bad customer service
Stand mixer is solid, electronic is horrible. I think their plan to deal with my warranty claim is to wait for me to die of old age.
Vivement la panne
J’ai le Kcook multi et on l’utilise très peu. Si on ne me l’avait pas offert je m’en serais séparé depuis longtemps. Il y a très peu de recette dans l’application et il n’existe même pas de livre. L’application est vraiment nulle, pas ergonomique, pas jolie, on ne peut pas filtrer ou trier et ajouter une recette relève du parcours du combattant.

Kenwood has been my trusted friend in the kitchen for almost 40 years but my newest appliance makes me curse every time I make a dough. WHY have you saved the little square at the end of the hook? It takes three times as long to knead the dough and with just as many stops to scrape the sides. Environmentally it’s also a bad idea.
