I purchased what I believed to be a complete roof rail set for the Freelander 1, only to discover upon arrival that it was a single component — not the full assembly. This confusion was entirely avoidable: the listing had no photos, no description, and a title that simply read "Freelander RH Roof Rail" — bare minimum information at best, deliberately misleading at worst.
To make matters worse, I was charged over £80 in export fees, which is roughly double the typical shipping cost for an item of this kind. Upon returning it, I received a refund of just £85 — significantly less than the £100+ I had originally paid, leaving me out of pocket despite being the wronged party.
The listing practices here are unacceptable. If you're sourcing parts, I'd strongly advise looking elsewhere — buyer beware.

Broken promises
Website said part was in stock but it didn’t arrive. I was then told it’s on back order and given no timeframe for delivery apart from “ hopefully next week”
The information on the website is deliberately misleading I won’t deal with them again.
Steer well clear.
Parts claimed as “in stock” but took 2 weeks to arrive. Then part received was the wrong one. Cost me £10 to return it to them and still waiting for a refund 3 weeks after they told me that I would receive it in 3 working days. So have now raised a dispute with my card issuer. No doubt I will not get the £10 back that it cost me to return the wrong part to them. Will never use them again.
AVOID AVOID AVOID
Paid for parts that never arrived. After chasing, I was told the order had never been processed. When the order finally arrived, it was incorrect. I was then asked to pay again for the correct part, with a promise that the wrong item would be collected and refunded, which it still hasn't!!!
The replacement part eventually arrived, I wasted hours on the phone trying to resolve this, with no accountability from the parts department and no manager willing to speak to me.
Their 'on hold' information says they have 1000's of Land rover parts, which they clearly don't, the correct part had to come from another dealer as well as other items.
The parts department is completely incompetent and shows no concern for customers. Judging by previous reviews, this is a recurring issue. Appalling service — avoid this dreadful company.
Refusing to refund undelivered items
Placed an order on 22nd December for multiple components. Was then told that the order would be shipped in two parts. To their credit, the first parts were delivered within a few days. However, the saga started from there.
Two weeks later, I was informed that the tyres I had ordered were not in stock and that there was no ETA from the supplier. I was then offered an alternative or a refund. I immediately requested the refund, which I did not receive notification of until another week later. However, when I received the refund, it did not include the £30 surcharge I had paid for the shipping of these tyres. I have had no response to my request for them to refund the full amount that is due back to me; in fact, I have had no responses to the 6 emails I have sent since the 13th.
Very poor customer service has made the whole experience very disappointing.
Will take your money even if they don't have the product.
Friday 2nd - ordered and payed for tyres.
Monday 5th - I rang to check delivery status. Was told they cannot source the tyres. I can expect a refund.
Friday 9th - I rang to check refund status. Was told can't do anything there is a storm.
Wednesday 14th - I rang to check refund status. Was told ' it was done today '.
Now is the 18th - still no refund.
Never again will I attempt to buy from this company.
Dodgy craddocks
Dodgy craddocks! Parts shown on there website as genuine even showing the genuine packaging in the photos. But then sending you britpart parts!
Other parts I ordered also heavily rusted, look like they’ve been sat in water for years!
I’d heard bad things about craddocks but thought I’d give them a chance. They was right, avoid!!
Great value on OEM components.

I ordered a part from their website, and it turned out the picture was wrong. The wrong part was then sent to my home.
I reported this, and after numerous emails, I received confirmation that they had made a mistake on their website. They didn't, however, send me the correct part free of charge.
They blamed it on my fault because the part number was correct. A consumer looks at the picture, not at a meaningless part number.
They insisted it was my fault. How customer-unfriendly.
The woman, "Vicki," at the helpdesk, was completely incomprehensible. She couldn't spell my name correctly to numerous email contacts. My English name is Brian, and she constantly changed it to "Brain," which means "brain." She kept writing "Bekker" (Bekker) about my surname, Bakker.
I'd also had problems before with a new part that was delivered to my home based on a photo, or it was used or had been sitting around for decades.
They should never have sent it that way.
In short: a lousy company and very customer-unfriendly. I will never order from here again.
Ik heb een onderdeel besteld van hun site en bleek de verkeerde afbeelding bij te staan. Heb dan het verkeerde onderdeel thuis gestuurd gekregen.
Ik heb hier melding van gemaakt en na vele emails kreeg ik bevestigd dat zij een fout hadden gemaakt op hun site. Niet dat ik kosteloos het juiste onderdeel alsnog toegestuurd kreeg.
Zij vonden het mijn fout omdat het artikelnummer wel juist was. Een consument kijk op de afbeelding en niet naar een nietszeggende artikelnummer.
Ze bleven erbij dat het mijn eigen schuld was. Hoe klant onvriendelijk.
De vrouw ,,Vicki,, van de helpdesk was het niet aan haar verstand te brengen. Ze kon mijn naam niet een goed schrijven naar vele email contacten. Ik heb een Engelse naam: Brian en daar met
constant Brain van gemaakt wat betekent: hersenen. Van mijn achternaam: Bakker bleef ze maar Bekker schrijven.
Hiervoor ook al elende gehad mijn een nieuw onderdeel op een foto wat bij mij thuis bezorgd werd of als het gebruikt was of decennia lang ergens gelegen had.
Dat hadden ze zo nooit mogen versturen.
Kort gezegd: waardeloos bedrijf en zeer klant onvriendelijk. Hier ga ik dus ook nooit meer bestellen.

Yet an another bad experience with John Craddock.
I ordered a tyre online , paid, two days later I get a phone call that the tyre I ordered had been discontinued. A bit confusing as it was clearly on the website ,advertised- otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to buy it. But somehow according to the advisor who rang me- it was my bad ordering something that they don’t have. He said that there was a very similar one but it’s pricier. Well, at this stage most decent companies would offer to send anyway as it was their mess up. No ,not JC. So I asked how long till my refund arrives- he said it will be immediately. I knew he was fibbing as that is never the case w refunds.
So for over a week now I’m £230 down for no reason.
UPDATE! Just called them (6days later) to see when I’m actually getting my refund as i still haven’t got it. They casually said that it has been issued just have to be signed by the creditors. So we have gone form receiving it in 1-2days to well, they haven’t even sent my money yet 6 days in.
The attitude of the customer advisors are sooooo bad, I will never buy from this company again.

One of the worst experience for faulty…
One of the worst experience for faulty parts I have experienced. On two occasions parts were damaged when received and they were not very quick to replace. Going on from that three months down the line one of those parts failed and it took five and a half weeks to receive the refund and that was only after threatening legal action. Every phone call made I was given conflicting information but finally on the day of the deadline for legal action payment was made
Fast delivery, but questionable phone line

One minor annoyance is the sales contact phone line. After 10 minutes or so on hold, the line automatically terminates and says "our offices are now closed", even if the officed are not closed. You have to keep trying until you get through.
Absolute disgrace keep showing parts…
Absolute disgrace keep showing parts available for dispatch, you then call and spend ages on hold to be told they don't have the part. Called today as again showing in stock for delivery and kept on hold for just over ten minutes and get an auto message saying "we are now closed please call again during office hours before 5pm". I called at 4:38pm and you cut me off at 4:49pm. What great customer service :-(
Sales staff will not answer the phone.
I have tried for two weeks to ring the sales department. I tried many times with always the same result. I was put on hold listening to a countdown from 5 which was my position in the queue. After exactly 10 minutes I got a message saying "inbox is full" and the line cut off. I eventually managed to contact customer services who admitted their sales staff "were busy" If they really are too busy why not announce the fact and perhaps offer a ring back service rather than waste customer's time? I have made a few orders and all have needed at least a week to be delivered. I think it is a shame that customers are treated this way as despite a good website and what appears to be a good stock level I will be using other suppliers in the future and would advise other people to do the same until Craddock's service improves.
Terrible company take your business elsewhere
Not recommended - orders aren't dispatched on time, and if you try to contact their customer service department, it will take you a very long time to be put through to anyone - even if the automated message says there are zero people ahead of you in the queue. Don't be fooled, I was waiting 20 minutes and still no answer. When I eventually got through (after an hour of trying), there was no apology for dispatching items a week late. I am going elsewhere from now on to get parts.
