My experience after purchasing a vehicle from this dealership at the end of February has been wholly unacceptable and far below the standard expected of a main dealer. This has not been a short-term issue, but an ongoing situation that I have had to actively manage myself for over 5 weeks, requiring constant follow-up, time, and effort on my part.

From the outset, the purchase and collection process was disorganised and excessively time-consuming, with long waits despite agreed appointment times. It was clear that end-of-month targets were prioritised over proper checks and customer care.

Within just 48 hours of collection, a rear seatbelt failed completely - a critical safety defect that should never occur on a vehicle sold as roadworthy. The vehicle then developed multiple further faults, including persistent brake noise, dashboard warning messages, audio system issues, and unreliable Apple CarPlay. These faults required the vehicle to be returned, causing further disruption, inconvenience, and additional time off my schedule.

Most concerning of all was the handling of the courtesy car. I was explicitly assured that the insurance had been extended, and I relied on that assurance in good faith. I was later shocked to discover that this had not been done, meaning I had been driving completely uninsured for nearly two days without my knowledge.
This is an extremely serious and fundamental failure in responsibility and duty of care. Driving uninsured carries significant legal and financial consequences, and I was exposed to these risks entirely due to the dealership’s negligence. This is not a minor oversight - it is a negligent breakdown in responsibility and a situation that should never occur under any circumstances within a professional organisation.

Throughout this entire process, communication has been extremely poor. I experienced dismissive and unprofessional behaviour from a member of staff during phone calls, which only added to the frustration and made an already difficult situation worse. I repeatedly had to chase for updates via phone and email, often receiving no response. I was passed between staff, given inconsistent information, and at no point did it feel as though anyone took ownership of resolving the situation.

Overall, this has been a stressful, time-consuming, and deeply disappointing experience. The combination of safety issues, broken promises, poor communication, and a shocking insurance failure demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism and accountability. I have effectively had to manage this entire situation myself over a prolonged period.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this dealership.

All staff were very helpful and welcoming. Jenna who dealt with myself from start to handover was outstanding, for a young lady she was extremely knowledgeable and just a pleasure to talk to .

Kerry was a great help throughout the entire process and was able to answer all questions we had very clearly, however one problem was with the valet after picking up the car we found dirty tissues in the glovebox.

My experience with buying the Cupra Formentor was great. Russell Anderson explained everything clearly, making the process very easy to follow giving us various options which are best suited for us only. There was no pressure about the journey making it a very positive experience. Thanks again, Russell.
